Hate his death or not, Hanzo has a phenomenal arc in this timeline. He goes from a vengeful demon to a masterful teacher who passes on his legacy to his former self.
It was heartbreaking watching his past self hold his future self in his arms. And then he grants his dying wish; also heartwarming too. Fuck D’vorah, Past Scorpion should’ve burned that bitch. Then Sub-Zero’s intro with D’Vorah:

@@PPR924 I personally didn’t like them killing Hanzo because Hanzo/Scorpion is my favorite character (it’s like when they kill off Peter Parker in comics and in Into the Spider-Verse, I just hate it) but for the sake of writing and character arcs, they did a great job finishing his arc and teaching past Scorpion better morals.
It was also quite heartwarming when past Scorpion saw the Fire Garden again :)
@@Howlingburd19 tbh I didn’t like it either. And a lot of people said that the death should’ve been given to Noob, again… fuck that. Hanzo/Scorpion is also my favorite character and when Raiden healed Scorpion and told him that he was in his position before (being a slave to anger), it was heartwarming to see that Scorpion had became a good guy, even though he was never inherently evil. Hanzo gave himself (literally himself) an opportunity to see the truth and realize that he could be free and not have to stress the thought his wife and child, what would’ve probably happened was Kronika would’ve brought them back and they would’ve died AGAIN, very similar to the original timeline when the elder gods brought back the shirai ryu as hellspawn demons. I’m kinda also glad him or Sub-Zero wasn’t in the aftermath ending because I didn’t want to see them get their souls taken 💀.

Ever since MK9 to me, the storylines be so lit to watch instead of the actual game play. I am very impressed with Ed Boon and the MK crew for actually making Mortal Kombat worth purchasing every single time. I can tell MK12 gon be dumb stoopid 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
MK X also has great ending and overall story.
This game still looks amazing to this day. Crazy to think a new chapter is coming this year already and it's hard to imagine these graphics getting improved.

@@Robert-tl2vgwatch them side by side and you can see a big difference, mostly in animation quality, mk1 looks much more smooth and fluid than 11. the faces especially are a big improvement over mk11s already really good facial animation.

Northern US economy (where slavery was illegal) was reliant on industrial goods, not labor-intensive agricultural products of cotton, tobacco and sugar cane.
Jax's ending was a good one. Hopefully he also was able to keep the African tribes and nations from killing each other as has been constant throughout history. Though, to be fair, that is true everywhere.
For me the best was Jaqui's ending where she selflessly gave up her own life to make her dad's better. It is heart-rending and inspirational. That is a hero.

@@crimzon_x4441 past Cage was a lot cooler than "Worlds #1 Dad" Cage. Domestication is one hell of a way to be stripped of all personality. Past Cage entered a tournament without even knowing about gods or realms and by the end of it was more loyal to Raiden and his vision than Liu Kang, but kept a joke at every turn.
It comes to show that apparently, there was hope for Cage after all, that's what made me approve of his adult and WAY more mature self 😎😎😎
An all it took for him to grow up was the world nearly ending.

This is a thousand times better than it has any right to be. That is some profoundly thought provoking lore and endings, just holy crap, and as a narrative experience this story is just really damn good. The dialog is almost never cringe or stupid, and that's really saying something given its scope and length. I am damn impressed.
I think it does a great job of mixing the best stuff in 9 & 10.

basically....kotal just decided to go full evil german guy on the tarkatans and told his army to line all of them up for execution
Jade didn't like that for obvious reasons (also that tarkatan from the cutscene before battle 19 that she was trying to peacefully talk with was seen being ripped away from their family by kotal as the first one to be executed)

I love how during the sequence where we see Liu Kang and Raiden fighting in previous timelines, we even see the timeline that lasted from Mortal Kombat 1 (1991) to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
I’m absolutely terrible at fighting games. But I do love watching the story modes for them. Netherealm studios are masters at building a large sprawling story incorporating so many characters. Hopefully MK1 ends up being another great story.
