That elephant bull is called “ JD” .. he is a very social elephant with humans but is a rather naughty elephant at times as he helps himself to anyone’s supplies without asking 😂😂😂 I have photographed him before..you may ask how would I know this is JD .. just because of his one tusk on the right has a big chip missing from the top pointed area and his body which contorts when he reaches up to feed off the trees . He also now has a hole on the lower left ear closer towards his head . Beautiful animals and always a privilege to be in the company in their world . Just always remember to remain calm and stand sill and please just be quiet and he will enjoy your company after a while . Thanks for sharing this!
Amazing how he came just close enough to greet them and then stopped and stood there to pose. Like they already know they are gigantic and could harm a human very easily. I love how they are so graceful when moving around. Amazing creatures really. ☺️👌🏻
Bono read the elephant's non-threatening body language and realized that he was just curious. Bulls, when not in musth, are generally very courteous gentlemen.
Very lovely video. in all the elephant videos iv watched so far, iv noticed a common mistake with tourists. They tend to talk or stretching hands pointing at things whilst at a close range to elephants. These ar very curious animals. Ull notice that when they're some steps away backing off from examining your car, if one of u start whispering or moving arms, they tend to stop and listen, even coming back examine some more. That tells m that they have sharp hearing as well. Pliz learn to keep as quiet as possible and not movings arms around them. I guess u become threat less to their senses.
I do not understand why these people can not just enjoy the experience of this magnificent creature and to be in his company without feeling the need to put that camera on him constantly.
Trevor Roberts never carry a granola bar either even an unopened one... the squirrels will eat through your duffle bag to get to them... I know it happened to me 🙄
Did you see the guide move? No! but the ignorant woman with the camera kept making sudden moves. That Jumbo must have been blind and deaf. Great video. The countryside looks very dry and barren.
Che animale maestoso e possente!!!! Una meravigliosa creatura della sconfinata savana!!! E pensare che viene sterminata la sua razza per il commercio dell'avorio....uomini INFAMI...come SEMPRE....
That looks like Judith (never "Judy"), with a busted left tusk. Yell "game time" and she'll make a beeline for the nearest shade tree and plop against it, expecting the dominoes setup. She's plays a good match, but can't figure out double sevens, and she hides her trials with her trunk.
Mandy-Lou Dumesny-Blahut Elephants in Mana Pools are unlike any we’ve ever encountered anywhere else in the wild. MP ellies are completely mellow and we’ve stayed at a few different places in the park over the years and they all seem to have the same calmness about them, it’s amazing to experience being arms length away from such an enormous awesome creature (yes I could have reached out and touched him while we sat at the base of that tree, if I was that stupid)!
Yes I agree, one has to remember they are wild animals, and even experts sometimes make mistakes in judgement, sadly we know of a guide of 23 years who died while on walking safari with his guests, while he saved their lives he lost his :-( nature is unpredictable ever cautious is my motto, always have an escape route :-) and I agree of al the animals my favorite are ellies, I can sit all day and watch them at my favorite spot in Hwange (the waterhole hide at Little Makololo is wonderful :-)
Cynthia Mack that’s very sad to hear. You’re very right. No one can predict how an animal is going to respond in any situation despite being very qualified to make certain judgements. Life throws curve balls often. We just don’t know what is around the corner. Having said this I still love all animals and I’m totally intrigued with these delightful beings. Xx
You have to stay & quiet otherwise They'll either run a mile away from You or They'll charge You. Yu never get up & start moving when a wild elephant is approaching. They stay calm if You stay still & quiet. No talking & no walking. Those are the rules. They don't like sudden movements or sudden loud noises.
The quiet demeanor of this noble creature illustrates how brave, and courageous the mighty hunters were who slaughtered them. Praise God who gave man dominion over them. How sick.
THAT'S SOO COOL!!!😎 TO BE THAT CLOSE TO A BULL ELEPHANT KING LIKE HIM AND HE STAYS CALM AND COOL!!!😎 JUST DOING HIS THING!!!🥰😍😘🦣🦣🦣🦣🌳⛰️🌊😃👍🏽🫶🏾💜💜💜🔥🙏🏽👑➕📖🔥🇺🇸
The elephant didn't seem to be afraid of humans. Do the tour guides bring them treats to train them to come to that area? This may result in the elephants learning to come up to the cars, and not being afraid. this worries me becasue a tusk hunter might use this to their advantage.
Seriously? No they don’t bring “treats” this is a completely isolated and wild area within Mana Pools. These are wild elephants, we just happened to select a nice shady spot for out tea time and a bull elephant decided he wanted the flower pods of the tree that was shading us. There haven’t been significant issues with poaching here, one side of the river is within one of Zimbabwe’s national parks and the other side is within Zambia’s Lower Zambezi national park. It just so happens elephants are more at ease here, they appear to feel safer and less threatened.
@@cynthiamack4860 I'm glad to hear that. I didn't realize wild elephants were so comfortable around humans. I must say, your footage of the elephant stretching is absolutely amazing. I have never seen that before. Thanks for posting your great footage.
He keeps touching his trunk to his mouth. And there’s water nearby. Wonder if he was signaling that he was gonna get a drink....or if it was something else like hello
That elephant could push that truck over like it was nothing! That dudes balls are so big even the elephant was like Damn! Seriously these people are nuts getting that close to a wild elephant! That animal would crush your skull like a watermelon!
Greg Sieracki while that is true in SOME regions of the world, elephants and their families have very distinct personalities and can vary dramatically from region to region. I can assure you that in this very UNIQUE part of the wilderness (that being Mana Pools) the elephants while wild are completely comfortable with the human presence and for that reason they are not to be as feared as in most other places we’ve tracked them (and there are areas where if you’re closer than a football field they WILL charge you). We’ve been privileged to track them on foot here and even been sitting in chairs reading outside our tent and they’ve snuck up behind us ( they are almost completely silent) and they’ve stood right next to us, as long as you remain perfectly still they are fine with us. But if someone is stupid he’s going to get hurt. The guides in Mana are extremely good at reading the animals. Tracking Ellie’s and wild dogs and even the lions on foot here in Mana have been the highlights of many of our safaris ❤️ making this the place we keep coming back to as often as we can (we were here again recently).
This is truly not a joke. Imagine with all evil people hunting these beautiful animals for a d..um trophy 🏆. What if I say, when they die, there be taking our place, and when we die, we could also take there place. Jus to remind everyone karma is a b...ch. Then what choice do we have, non. I salute these animals for doing what they do best, show love ❤️ ✊🏼👍🏼🙏🏻
It's amazing that the biggest animals (elephant, rhinos, giraffe) aren't carnivores and yet they get so massive ! If eating grass makes them that huge, why vegan people aren't fat???
Can u just IMAGINE cutting this guys face off smfh to get to his ivory, then leaving em there to bleed to death?💔😖smfh i do not know HOW these bastards do it!....then hide from officials so they dht go to prison.😡 Grrrr enrages me!!😡💔😡
Did you talk to the ekephant.Your car might've been in the way; when it's trying to reach the tree. It might've pushed it over to get to tree. With you standing on ground; a lion might've come up behind you?
U humans r so not gracious. The elephant shows up to the party & no one offers him a spot of tea? & not even a crumpet? I don't blame him for turning around & leaving huh! 😏

His Majesty came unannounced.
Lolz
If that's not beautiful, I don't know what is ❤❤❤
Beautiful please keep them safe from harm would be my only request and lets learn to love them by protecting them
I was really expecting to see elephants having tea.
That is a well mannered elephant - showed real class
I don't think you could get a closer encounter....WOW...nerves of steel by all.
What a beautiful creature.
Wow, so majestic, yet so gentle. What an awesome sight.
Once Africa is done being wild...we're all done, game over!....please support Africa's culture how ever possible!
The72challenger I agree and the modern world is rapidly encroaching on the last of the wilderness breaks my heart every visit I see it more evident 😩
Cynthia Mack Reading this truly breaks my heart. I couldn’t imagine living in this world without wild Africa...
@sn00piedog THAT'S on outskirts of town rather than town occupying outskirts😞
Nice ellie! Quality control, making sure everything is up to par for the tourists. 👍😁

Cute sweetheart 😍. I love elephants ❤.
Beautiful 😘🐘
Mr. Elephant is having tea by himself as far as I can see.
That would be the experience of a lifetime...How Magnificent...
possibly the most majestic creature the planet has ever known
That elephant was begging for a snack. I know you're not supposed to feed them, but I would've gave that sweetie many treats. 😊
Hello beauty. Sugar and milk?
Love elephants!😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
Elephant probably wants to hangout with them but approaches with caution since it can't trust them
Nowhere in the world is like Mana pools. Miss Babwe so much
The elephant said to the man yo can I borrow your Jeep I have a hot date
I do not understand why these people can not just enjoy the experience of this magnificent creature and to be in his company without feeling the need to put that camera on him constantly.
why is there scary background music
Hi
diesel dave What is wrong with you?
@@donaldstrump911 I knew it wouldn't be long before a nu-male showed up.
diesel dave No i'm not you. It's because you act like a typical kid trying to take atention by insulting someone. You need to grow up.
@@donaldstrump911 Shut up, fuckface.
The ominous music is strange. Elephants are gentle animals, not maneaters.
If visiting Game farms or game reserves in Africa, never carry fruit with you, You will get searched by animals for it. hehehehe
Trevor Roberts never carry a granola bar either even an unopened one... the squirrels will eat through your duffle bag to get to them... I know it happened to me 🙄
what a Beautiful experience that was! I teared up out of amazement for those tourists when the elephant turned and walked in front of them.
Did you see the guide move? No! but the ignorant woman with the camera kept making sudden moves. That Jumbo must have been blind and deaf. Great video. The countryside looks very dry and barren.

Tour Guide: How do you like your tea
Elephant: Cream and 2 sugars Please!. Do you have any cookies as well?
So majestic.
A little elephant yoga there getting something from the tree. And some food as bate for close encounter/thrill.

With the dramatic music at 01:30,you think the elephant was getting to roll the vehicle over.
Music is perfectly useless…
I really wish people would stop with the music, and just use the natural sound
I love elephants but I'm afraid to go to safari
Amazing

Weird... I usually just draw my arcane power from there.
I had no idea elephants did yoga
So good to see that it is possible to assimilate with the biggest of animals we don't have to kill them.
Needed a spare bale of hay to share
Delightful scene/sighting but wrecked by tediously repetitive headache and nausea inducing soundtrack.
Don't you have when friends just drop by unannounced? Especially at tea time.

He want some food. Be generous with the elephant. He descrise that he is hungry
Sure wish you had some peanuts at a moment as that.
