I love how very respectful you are towards the elephants in their presence. I wish more people who come to see animals in their natural habitat have that same courtesy as you guys. Plus Africa has gotta be incredible to see.
Thank you for not startling them or speak loudly to irritate them. That was nice that you whispered showing some respect. The elephants normally love to jump in the water and roll over. But, they are so smart they know this place belongs to someone with instinct, and the way they behave is like, hey this is someone else's place and just drink a little and not make a mess. How intelligent.
Who knew Elephants had such excellent pool manners. No running, pushing or shoving. Everyone politely waiting their turn. Though they could have hogged the whole pool they thoughtfully only used a small section and were careful to keep splashing to discreet minimum. They would be the ideal non-chlorinated pool party guests ...............until you got the water bill.
Its not just ornaments it is also used in healing medicines. That's why its so difficult to trace the origin of source it gets shipped too. Also the sellers of the medicines don't like to be identified either. A few free lance journalists have felt.the wrath from it.
Save all the animals that certain terrible human want to exploit. Don't buy anything from China. Beware of what you buy from Africa. Leave the wild animals alone. We are all much better off with them being free in their natural setting. Seeing videos of wild animals in their natural habitat is enough for me.
Every time I see a video of elephants drinking from the pool I'm struck by what perfect guests they always are. No trumpeting, no shoving, no intimidating, no stepping on the boards and breaking them to bits, no rampaging through the huts and destroying everything. Nope. Perfect guests. And that is one of the deadliest animals on the planet...
In an animal's world - everything is free! All they have to do is go and get it! Just to see the joy on people's faces when just a drink is being taken says it all! :-)
If that happened to me while I was chillin and enjoying my place, i would probably cry a bucket. I've always wanted to witness Elephants in their own natural habitat doing whatever it is they do. And its such a beautiful moment to witness these wonderful gentle creatures enjoying their water :)) this is why I really want to go on a Safari lodge and just be one with nature.
So beautiful!!! This is the way wildlife should eb observed, in their natural habitat not in cages or even enclosures!!!! Free!!! I love elephants, such gentle giants unless one threatens one of them then you get not only the rage of the one you get the whole heard of females and young bucks!!!
Now that's a lovely video. So cool so obedient....they are just to themselves. People who have closely seen them are so lucky. God wonderful creatures.
Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦For sharing your Amazing video with us all. I love Elephants. They truly Are amazing animals. Their hearts their souls and are beautiful animals. I just wish ppl would Stop poaching these amazing animals for tusks. I would never ever purchase any Ivory. NEVER. PLEASE ppl do NOT buy anything that's Ivory. Put them poachers out of business!!You both are so lucky to have been that close to watch themDrink the water out of your or the pool you were planning on swimming in. How did you both stay so calm ???? I hope if I were ever in that situation I could stay as calmAs you both did. And just enjoy watching. Baby elephants are so adorable. AgainThanks for posting your video 👍🏼🇨🇦
This place makes their money providing guest an upclose look at elephants in the neighborhood. When you arrive you are told that you may get a visit from an elephant wanting a drink of your pool. You are told to not make sharp movements or loud noises. The pools are kept up in a way that elephants who regularly visit them will not be made it.
Not exactly gentle. Elephants in a zoo are trained to interact with humans, but in the wild, they can charge anyone that pisses them off. I’ve seen videos where wild elephants have charged safari vehicles and flipped over cars and trucks. They are very strong and powerful.
I find it so facinating that people can't seem to be quiet even if their lives are on the line. They could make all the comments in the world AFTER the ellies left. But no, humans. The girl said "this is our pool what's going on?" You're in THEIR AFRICA is what's going on!
Here's my question. When an elephant is sucking water into its trunk, how does he know when to stop? How far up does the water go? Yeah, yeah, yaaah, I know this is a weird line of thought but I always think about this question. Can an elephant sense the progression of the water as he draws it up into his trunk? I'm gonna say, YES. OK, that aside, the elephant is an very very strange lifeform. It can't run. It is the biggest land animal. It has ears the size of a satellite dish. Its nose is up to six feet long. It is as big as a cabin. It is a tranquil vegetarian. It is an delight.
Wow! Mr. ELEPHANT "hiding" behind a tree to figure out when it's safe for him togged a drink of water!11 WOW. This is wrong. At least this couple was benign!!. May God bless ELEPHANTS and keep them safe from humans:/
That's just Harry. He hasn't tasted human flesh for, um, 30 years. Not to worry. And, of course, there's that panic kit placed in your room: a steak knife and three band-aids.
what do you think would the elephant do if the thing was closed by a big door and he knows there is water in the other side and the human open the door and let him pass to take water? go and drink the water or maybe attack the human?

That was unbridled fear lol..
@Anna K You don't get it. It's a show of respect to whisper. It has nothing to do with elephants having big ears or how sensitive they are to hearing.
No sudden movements or noises. Yes they don't mind the wildlife callings but a noise they find unfamiliar they see as a threat.
Tree Hugger
Ja, ja, ja. you are right. They are really smart and " politically correct ", more than some humans peoples !!!
Those people are very lucky ! What a privilege to be there !!

Tmarie2u great comment lol
Water is pretty cheap, you can't afford a couple bucks?
Lolz
They are magnificent.
Save the elephants by NOT buying ivory items.
How hard can it be??
tell 1.3 billion Chinese people that!
That’s on asian people. They literally keep the market up for it. Western world basically doesn’t care for that shit.
Its not just ornaments it is also used in healing medicines. That's why its so difficult to trace the origin of source it gets shipped too.

So,SO glad the water is potable! what a wonderful clip!
Hope theres no chlorine in the pool..
Have you seen the water dear elephants are used to drinking?! Chlorine would be like a freshener😔

Check out the video of the bull elephant that came to lunch at the Mana Pool camp. They are not always "perfect guests".

Not true, in animal world it is either free or might cost your life.
Elizabeth Czepiel Complexities of the world were created by chutzpah humans.
its the strongest animal on earth he can get it without permission :D
In the animal world the earth has custody of all living beings and takes care of us. Western mind things they own the earth an only money talks.
These elephants have excellent pool etiquette.
Thanks so much for producing this video. It made my day. Such beautiful creatures.
I love it when elephants drink out of swimming pools!

I swear we dont deserve these beautiful gentle giants😭😭
Not exactly gentle. Elephants in a zoo are trained to interact with humans, but in the wild, they can charge anyone that pisses them off. I’ve seen videos where wild elephants have charged safari vehicles and flipped over cars and trucks. They are very strong and powerful.
The elephants seem respectful.
This is a great video. The coule here is showing due respect to the elephants by talking in a low tone. I like that.
What a beautiful animal.

Very polite elephants.
I love how they yield to the newer arrivals. If another herd showed up, the ones we see now would all step aside or leave

Pikapetey Animations This Is An Elephant Drinking At The Pool
That's just Harry. He hasn't tasted human flesh for, um, 30 years. Not to worry. And, of course, there's that panic kit placed in your room: a steak knife and three band-aids.
So cute
There beautiful and thirsty
Now you know why certain plants and pastries are called "Elephant Ears"!
Amazing
Dry or on the rocks your pool cocktail ? Dry please.....
I just realized how weird elephants are.....they have a tentacle on their face....
i wonder if the water is filtered to keep clean or they use.baking soda. which shouldn't be a problem for elephants
what do you think would the elephant do if the thing was closed by a big door and he knows there is water in the other side and the human open the door and let him pass to take water? go and drink the water or maybe attack the human?
