I absolutely LOVE your channel Laura. I’ve been working on a project I call it ‘my grandmothers front porch’. I’m excited to be making your butter churns and barrels. Thanks for sharing your projects, love them all!
Thank you Lucy! That sounds like an amazing project. I’ve been thinking about giving something like that a try. Being in an apartment not much room for miniatures. Something like that I could hang on the wall.
I know what you’re saying about space. I live in a 200 square-foot tiny house. I probably should not be working on such a large project but it brings me joy When it’s warm enough I have a dedicated space for it on my porch. I am counting down to spring lol.
@@lucyl6425 That is so awesome you live in a Tiny home!!! I’m envious! That is a dream of me and my husbands. So yes you sure do know what I mean. 😂 We have almost 700 square feet. I can see why you can’t wait till you have warmer weather for your porch. Thanks for commenting and sharing about your Tiny home with me.
Top marks. I particularly like the detail of windows on both sides of the scale. Although I have no project where this would fit, I have to try this out for my grand daughter [who is fascinated by all things small]. thanks for this.
Thanks so much for your kind comments as always. You are so lucky to have a granddaughter! 😁 I love my grandson to pieces but look forward to hopefully one day having a granddaughter.
These are amazing! I remember, when I was very young, going with my Mom to some of the smaller grocery stores and watching them weigh the meats at the meat counter. The scales they used were newer, of course but, had the parts where you weigh it and the little windows with the indicator. Your little store is going to be so cute when it is all done! Thank you for sharing, Laura!
The small one I drew out the pattern in the beginning to show how I made it. Then I cut out of food packaging using exacto knife. I did that for those who don’t have a paper cutter. The larger one I designed the cut file on my computer and cut out with my cameo 4 paper cutter. The assembly was the same for both. That’s why the smaller scale had the hand drawn numbers because it was completely done by hand.
You could try some of these things… nail polish bottle, nasal or eye drops cap, lipstick or mascara container and a small melon ball utensil. I struggle with that too. I usually end up with my thumb or pinky. It takes a little practice but you’ll find something that works. Don’t give up!!
I am constantly amazed and inspired by all the things you accomplish with humble cardstock and paper.
It was interesting to see your planning and construction process and how you achieved each effect and finish. Beautiful piece!
Thank you! I’m so glad you found it interesting! 🥰
This is incredible!! Thank you for creating this video to share your knowledge 😊👏
Thank you! 🥰 I love sharing what I am working on. I hope it inspires.

@@Lauras-tinyview My wife and I sometimes joke that it took four boys between our kids to finally get it right. lol.
Perfect addition to your General Store. As always, incredible work!
Thanks so much! ❤️
Wow! I love your precision and attention to detail. Thank you!
Fantastic, what you can do with card stock and paper is just mind blowing ❣️❣️
Thank you! 🥰 Paper is my favorite medium.
These are so cute. I love your videos! Thanks again for sharing.
You are welcome! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! ❤️
They're perfect! You're amazing!
You are so kind! Thanks for all your lovely comments! 😊
How on earth do you cut all of your pieces so precisely??😲Amazing!👏👏👏
Thanks! The one I cut by hand (smaller one) took a lot of sanding. 😂 The other scale was cut on my cutting machine.
Thanks for taking the time to share how you made those scales. I want to give this a try.
Thank you! Are you working on a store as well?
@@Lauras-tinyview Yes, I started doing one but I have not gotten very far with it. You make me want to get back at it.
👍👍👍👍👍🙋♀️

Thanks Cheryl and thanks for sharing a memory from your childhood. I really love hearing those stories! 🥰🥰🥰
@@Lauras-tinyview Makes me feel old, LOL! Thanks for the memory, I had forgotten about those kind of scales!
@@MiniatureMadnessofcherylg2696 We are young at heart! 😁
C'est curieux quand même, les pièces n'ont pas la même forme à la découpe et au collage..

Bravo ! Mais où trouver le fond de papier de la balance avec les chiffres pour l'indicateur ?
Merci !
Colette
Thanks! I made it on the comp and one I drew by hand. At the very beginning of the video the smaller scale is the one I hand drew the numbers.
Still trying to make the jugs, but can’t figure out how to get the part that goes on top of the base to spread out enough to fit on it. Help!
