Unfortunately I had to remove some music. But thankfully I believe you can still complete the tutorial without my voice. You can always turn on closed captions to read what I said.
The measurements mentioned in the video are:
1- 3 3/8 in X 5/8 in
4- 4 in x 1/8 in ( one is extra just in case lol)
4- 1 in circles
1- 4 in x 1/4 in ( cut extra for handle) optional
Elmers Glue All
This basket is great for 1/12 scale
For the wire handle I used 18 gauge wire bent into the handle shape. The little wooden handle is a strip of paper, I cut into the width I wanted my handle. I then wrapped it around the wire, glueing as I wrapped until the thickness I wanted it to be. Then painted to look like wood.
Have fun with different sizes and shapes for your baskets.
I had an uncle that would carve baskets out of peach pits. 50 years later, I still have them.
Oh wow! That’s Amazing!! I’ve never heard of that before. So cool that you still have some of them!❤️
This is quite impressive. They look so real that, even after seeing how those are made, a part of my brain still refuses to admit that those are miniature baskets made of cardboard and paper. It is more comfortable for me to think there is a giant hand holding real normal size baskets in that video.
I absolutely LOVE your comment!! I can relate because in another video of mine. I made some stoneware and every time I see them I think they are real and I made them!!😂😂😂 Thank you so much for making me laugh today.
😢z😅😅ର ପପପ😢😮😅😂
Lol
You know what I love the most? It is how you don't scare to make your fingers dirty! This is the sign of real craftsman!
Thank you! I love that!!
I followed this tutorial and made Easter baskets. Ppl thought they were made from wood! Excellent tutorial! Thank you!
You are so welcome!! I love to hear stories like that. Thanks for watching!
Been dying to find a good basket tutorial to try to make miniature longaberger baskets…. And here this appears!!! Thank you for such a clear and beautiful tutorial!
I’ve heard of those baskets before but never seen one. Now I need to look them up. So glad you found the video helpful!
Like you I have been searching for a good basket tutorial. I want to make a log basket for my Book Nook. A fireplace without a log basket? Nope, I've got to have a log basket. This is great. Now you have made me curious and I'm off to look up a longaberger basket. I've just looked. I have seen them before but was unaware of their name. I think a miniature basket will do, as they are rather expensive in this neck of the woods.
@@beccabbea2511 longaberger has been kinda like a collectable basket company for a long time! They’re less made for chores and the such, like being used in yard or farm work for example, and more so to spruce up the house!
@@Lauras-tinyview my mom used to be a consultant for the company when I was younger, so both her house and mine are full of them! We love them dearly and it’s hard to find baskets that have the same aesthetic they do!
These are amazing!
Queen City Minis recommended your channel. Great video, new subbie here 👍🏾😁😂
Thanks glad you liked it. 😊 Thanks for subbing!!
finally! a calm voice, verbal instructions and consistent audio... I am glad I found you!!!! Not to mention skilled!!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful compliments. I appreciate it very much. Just a heads up the audio goes out on that video but the tutorial still makes sense. I removed some music that wasn’t supposed to be copyright that was in my editing program. My crate and barrel video is the same. But won’t have that issue ever again.😂
Consistent audio... irony cause for some reason I lost sound 1/4 of the way in. Idk what happened 😭
@@stellastarfield1111 Unfortunately I had to remove some music that may become a copyright issue. Thankfully I believe you can still complete the tutorial without my voice. If you have any questions I’ll be glad to help.
I’m sorry I accidentally removed one of your comments. My phone was doing some wacky stuff. 😂 @semmaville

I really liked the excellent closeup of process, and am thankful for the dimensions. Yes, inspired. Thank you.
Oh good so glad you liked it! Thanks for commenting.
These are absolutely adorable! Thank you for sharing your secrets!
Thank you very much!!
Lovely baskets!!! 🤩🤩🤩The extra detail of the wire handles make these look so real!!!
Thanks so much! 😊
I got a degree in this, but we had to do it under water. 😁
Those are so cute. I can't believe they are real, yet alone made with paper. You have an amazing talent thank you so much 😊
Thank you so much!😊
Wonderful! I like the idea of making a paper bead for the handle! I’ve made these before and drilled through a toothpick for the handle but rolling card stock would be faster! Great tips! I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos.
Thank you very much! Oh no did I say the handle was cardstock in the video. LoL Its actually plain copy paper.
My mom had both a plastic sewing box ( kind of like a short fat and tall tackle box shape) but she also had a a small wicker snake like basket, which I still have. It didn’t have a handle, but it used to have a lid, with a knob like handle, like a lid for a cooking pot.
Thanks for sharing! My mom and Grandmother both had the plastic type. But I would see others with the basket type. I always wanted one. Strangely I still havent purchased one for myself lol. I hope to make a mini one at some point.
Greeting from Australia. Ma'am - these are simple and simply beautiful. Thank you.
Thanks! So happy to hear you enjoyed them!
They look so,so real! I bet they looked perfect in your General Store. Thank you so much for sharing. 😊

These are beautiful. Really amazing craftsmanship.
Thanks so sweet of you to say!!😊
I tried to guess how you made these. I was way off! How clever.
Thank you 😊 I been thinking of other ways to use this weave other than baskets. Like inserts on cabinets or chairs possibly.
@@Lauras-tinyviewA drum shade for a ceiling light fixture or lamp, picnic basket with the opening top, laundry basket...How fun
@@queencityminis Light fixture or lamps great idea! Back when I worked in 1/6 scale I kept thinking about making a hamper but never got around to it.
Beautiful miniatures!
Thank you!
I’m on my 2nd basket. I made one like the tutorial & then an oval one. They’re so much fun to make! I’m using doll house wooden spindles cut down to make my handles. I use a mini hand drill to make a hole through it. It takes about 5 minutes to get through it, but I love using a real wood handle. Your tutorial is very easy to follow, btw. Thank you.
Oh Cool!! So glad you enjoyed the tutorial! Your handle idea sounds fantastic!🥰
I can see an oblong basket becoming a cradle or a baby carriage very easily.
My Mom would have been very proud of your work. Her general store captivated visitors for years.
Those are wonderful ideas!! Where did she have her store displayed? I’m intrigued in her store now?
What a sweet lil project
Thank you very much!

Oh good! I’m so glad it will be helpful to you!
This is so cute, thank you for inspiring us. I think you can make with this idea also bigger baskets. I am going to try that I think ❤
Thank you so much! I think it should work. Maybe double the thickness of your paper for durability. When I was younger in school we made baskets like this for Valentine’s Day out of construction paper. They were thin and flimsy but good for holding our Valentines lol. Let us know how it works out.
I’m going to make some of these for my great granddaughter, she has 2 doll houses , she will love them
Oh perfect! I bet she’ll love them! 🥰
This is an amazing method of making baskets. Thank you for sharing.😊❤

So cute! It was actually easier than I thought it would be.
Oh good!! Did you have a hard time just making one though?
Beautiful. You would never know it was card stock.
Thank you!
Such talent and skill, nice to watch 🥰🥰
Thank you! 🥰 Thanks for watching too!
I’m not sure why this video was recommended, but I really enjoyed it and just subscribed. Without exaggeration this is the BEST video I’ve ever seen on UA-cam! Excellent closeups, directions, got right to the tutorial, didn’t waste my time (or your paper!). I watch tons of card making videos because three years ago that became my hobby in retirement. They all waste paper when they die cut!! Drives me nuts!! I will definitely try this because all those baskets are absolutely beautiful!! You obviously have a lot of talent and patience. I look forward to viewing more of your tutorials. Thank you for posting.
Thank you! I’m flattered!! 😊 I enjoyed reading your comment. Watching them waste paper would drive me nuts too.
So pretty… would love to see more of your art work

It's a very beautiful mini weaving paper craft
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!!
Hi, dear, thank you for sharing this petite, though carefully done work, amazing for my gnomes, I brought from Denmark! I found one real tiny basket for the knitting of Sophia ( made with tooth picks), a fishing rod for Albert and something they change… and teach their children… I’ve to find my cutter… it’s looks so REAL. I always wanted to make them stoneware and saw in the comments you’ve a video about making that! Can’t wait… Greetings from Germany, Monika❣
Welcome! 🤗 I’m so glad you found my basket tutorial. Sounds perfect for your mini world. I love the idea of a fishing pole!! You will love the stoneware video. I made them and I think they are real everytime I look at them. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🥰
Thank you for not cutting your circles in the middle of the paper, thus wasting paper. It always annoys me when people do that.
The baskets look real, especially with the natural look of the paint.
Me too! Thanks for commenting.
This was amazing. At the ebd the basket with the two wire handles was ny favorite!! Great idea. That looks incredible
Thank you! Its one of my favs too!
