I love your pattern book! Such a great way to organize cutouts. Makes me want to make something similar for my magazine letters that are currently loose in small envelopes (A-D, E-H, I-M, etc). Those plant pots are so pretty!
@@mfamilysminis You're welcome - glad I could help. I try to avoid painting whenever possible because it's so messy and time consuming. The same with glue. For paper projects, I use permanent double-sided tape instead of glue, and it's really easy to pinch off tiny little pieces for miniatures.

Washi tapes are great to use, I love making minis with them. The remaining pieces of scrapbooking are great but they are generally thicker which can sometimes be a problem depending on the scale you are working at. Thanks for your comment!!! 💕💕💕

Also I wonder if making a tiny cut out of the paper would be less visible than the fold? I love this tutorial! I already learned to cut artworks out (then paint modge podge on top to look like brush strokes) but the flower pots, boxes, labels,and plates are brilliant. I had to go back through my magazines. I started my own little book last night. I also use the spine for books by gluing the covers on. You are so creatively brilliant!

I’m so impressed by the clever and thrifty way you use magazines. I like to take the stamp-sized stickers that come with self-stick return address labels (from donating to DAV) and put them on magnets that come in the mail, (they are flexible and can be cut with a scissors.)
These are fabulous ,and recycling is the best.Thanks for sharingI have an idea that I use in crafting.For the juice covers. Trace around it on plastic packaging ,cut out, then you can center perfectly with a clear template.

@@melissaphillips3912 Hi, it's tissue paper. As I live in France, I don't know what you have in the USA to wrap gifts but here it is exactly this type of fabric that I use. It can be found in shoe boxes, for example. If you are unsure I recommend doing a test first with a piece of magazine that you don't plan to keep. Be careful to use school glue sticks because the glue must be of poor quality so as not to stick forever! 😅 Let me know if it worked and if you were able to create your pattern notebook! I would be happy to have news! 💕💕💕

Wow! What a cool idea! For the plates you might try putting the circle of paper in the palm of your hand and using a ball stylus etc to press in a circular way to give a slight bowl shape. Gently of course. I’ve done that to make flower petals. (Hope it works)
I'm enjoying your minis. A single cut to the center of the paper (as if you were making the first cut when slicing a pie) will eliminate the crinkle when covering the concave plastic pieces you made into plates. I'm referring to the candle images you used as the design.
I love that book you've made with tissue paper for gluing your favourite images into. When you cut them out, do you take them off the tissue paper or leave it on? Those Chinese style ceramic pots you made are gorgeous. I use Judikins Diamond Glaze too and it really is good stuff, especially with its 3D effect. 😢
Thank you for your comment.😊 As the glue is of cheap quality, when I want to remove the images, I just have to gently pull on them and they come off with sometimes a little tissue paper remaining stuck in places but that doesn't matter . I suppose you could also leave the tissue paper and cut around the image. The tissue paper is so thin that it will not interfere with making the miniature. I love diamond glaze too, it’s so useful! 💞💞

Yes! if you want to hear my real voice, take a look (or listen) to my French videos. The reason why I use a AI voice is that I can write texts in English but I don't speak it fluently and when I try to read my texts, it takes me hours and I pronounce with a very strong French accent! I'm considering making videos without voiceovers in the future just with subtitles (it will save me a lot of time!) since it seems to disturb English speakers which is the opposite of the goal: to make my videos accessible to a wider audience!😅

Great ideas. You could save a step when making the plant pots by using colored backing paper, so then you don't have to paint the insides.

I've come across a common advertisement on my Wordle that is the AI of Princess Diana's voice - too funny.

Yes! if you want to hear my real voice, take a look (or listen) to my French videos. The reason why I use a AI voice is that I can write texts in English but I don't speak it fluently and when I try to read my texts, it takes me hours and I pronounce with a very strong French accent! I guess that must not be very pleasant to hear. Hope the AI voice isn't too disturbing?

This AI voice is registered as "peaceful female" in my editing software. I'm considering making videos without voiceovers in the future just with subtitles (it will save me a lot of time!) since it seems to disturb English speakers which is the opposite of the goal: to make my videos accessible to a wider audience!😅

Ironic as I think that the sample for this AI voice is actually "English With Lucy" - as she teaches and has a huge back catalogue of videos, they could great great voice sampling. I don't know if she knows though.
