Unbelievably talented!!! My favorite song. Saw this when I was a little girl. My dad took me to NYC to see it on Broadway. That's when I fell in love with Broadway and this song made me cry -- I was only 11. My dad told me you can never teach someone empathy. They are either born with it or without it. And he knew I had it in my soul the moment tears streamed down my face when the star sang this very song. Cut to 20 yrs laters when I had my own little girl and I was singing this to her one night in bed to help her get to sleep. She started to cry.... and said "mamma this song makes me sad for some reason". I said " you can never teach someone empathy. They are either born with it in their soul or without. And you have it" my dad had passed by then... circle of life. Music is what feelings would sound like. PS. @@teamfol I was also disappointed with Alice Cooper’s performance. I expected soooooo much more from him. John was still the worst- I like him just fine normally, but he couldn’t even remotely hit the G5, so why was he cast?
Alice Cooper I was hoping good things for. Herod is a role that has that freedom to be just wild and crazy. John was there for star power name alone. That's how sadly most of these shows are cast. Get someone famous in the role and it will draw people. John not hitting the notes was big. But the cocky way he presented himself like this was below him and he didn't want to be there got me the most.

Just sitting here trying to imagine what it would be like to be a woman like her in romantic love with Jesus. I think there's a lot to be said about why she was the one and about how he likely knew. Being in love always hurts, but being loved is probably just as hard. Not that she was his biggest concern, but I always think of them, of his love for the forgotten, for the sinners, for the outsiders. What she must have felt for him, and how most women would have probably fallen love. It was probably even harder and more vulnerable for him to be loved than it even was for her to love him. He loved everyone. And in the end that was his undoing, his beauty, his destiny... but also our salvation. How could you actually be there and not love a man like that?
It’s not hidden if you’re familiar with her work:) which I highly recommend! Her cover is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road changes the vibe completely and it’s amazing. She wrote “she used to be mine” for Waitress and it’s like poetry. So she’s amazing:) she does have the habit of singing a little off with the music via preference (she makes things her own) and I think that’s part of why some people aren’t enjoying this cover 😉
I love Sara's tone of voice, this is my fave version so far, and then the acapela version of the nun (Micaela Diamond) in the car scene from the series Grotesquerie.

A beautiful song about our beloved Saviour. So many beautiful songs and hymns have been written about Him, because He is so incredibly loved by so many throughout the centuries and through eternity. This song captures the amazing feeling of knowing Him, nothing can beat that. Love Divine. .❤❤❤
