One of my favorite vocalists, she sounds better live than in a studio. Not a lot of current artists can claim the same.
Gabriella Marie AGREED!!
Totally agree with you
Agree that she definitely has the talent, but the mystery is why she sounds so much better singing live than in a studio.
sleazybtd either crappy sound people or, and this is my opinion, she’s just too good for current technology 👍
Yep! Jessy J is the same. Muuuuch better live.
You can even tell the orchestra members are happy 😃
god the dopamine hit from this video is unbelievable. the collective cheer from the audience when they realize what song is playing. sara, just resplendent. the couple members of the orchestra you can tell are a bit thrilled cause they love this song. ben folds getting his little white boy groove on in the percussion section. wow.
I cannot comprehend why Sara is so underrated, she's amazing!
If you don't bow down to the Beast and his horrid ways, you won't get far.
Cause she doesn’t compromise who she is an artist. If she did, she’d be bigger than Brittany.
I love this version of the song, but my other favorite part is watching Ben Folds bounce while playing the drums. Both Ben and Sarah are so joyful.
Thank you for pointing that out! You're right! Made me smile. Joyful indeed! :)
One of the best Mezzo Sopranos in today's music! She delivered such beautiful resonant notes. Amen to her voice!
ivanchu0509 she’s def not soprano, she even wrote in her book about how she’ll never be one no matter how hard she tries
@@TheMurrmursonbottle mezzo soprano means basically between contralto and soprano
@@TheMurrmursonbottle why would she want to be a soprano? We all agree she sounds awesome and her resonance is amazing
@@yossibarzilai3820 It’s not my opinion, just mentioning what she said in her autobiography. Perhaps it’s because a lot of people consider it more impressive to have a higher range, despite that being a pretty shallow preference
Her appreciation for the orchestra is adorable!
The orchestra makes this song even better, plus she shines.
This has been my “be brave” brave song since it got released and always listen to it when I’m down and be courageous and cry singing this at the top of my lungs
This makes me so happy, Sara B is always a delight.
ungh. i could just imagine hearing it in the room with all those acoustics..that GIGANTIC subtle voice of hers. ungh.
One of the most incredible talents in our world in 2021 is Sara. You have not lived until you have heard her incredible version of I Don't Know How to Love Him. She sings that song better then anyone I ever heard!!!
Don’t run and stop holding your tongue , now is the time, be brave!
This concert was one of my top musical experiences ever. What a treat to see this video posted to remind me. Hearing it in with the acoustics of the hall was soul lifting. Please post more!
Jamie McIntyre I was on second row center. Did you take your daughter and sit on the front row?
I did!
omg what more songs did she play?
I BET that experience hit you differently than if it was performed in another type of arena!!
How sweet a daddy daughter date...my heart...lol and I LOVE this video
Her technique is lit 🔥🔥🔥
The orchestra is wonderful, Sara is so talented and beautiful, and I have a special appreciation for Ben f-ing Folds right here.. Bro is one of the most talented musicians in the world.. and has zero problems standing in the back banging on a drum, letting Sara have her moment.
Wow we love you Sara
Love this song and this rendition, but to quote Dexter Morgan "They make it look so easy; connecting with another human being. It's like no one told them it's the hardest thing in the world." This song gives me hope that maybe someday I can be Brave too!
Sara just want to say THANKYOU!
She can Sing.... Period.
I love that she claps for the orchestra at the end. She's amazing a just a genuine person!
I love this woman. Her confidence and encouragement for the many for who so long couldn't "let the words fall OUT." This song has empowered thousands to step into the light and their truth. Thank you, Sara.
I listened to this song almost daily during my pregnancy with my daughter. It is my hope for her. This arrangement and performance gives it a fresh take. I absolutely love it.
Beautiful version, beautiful lady, beautiful song!♥♥♥
Such a Beautiful woman with a Beautiful voice with a Beautiful heart ..❤
WE NEED A LIVE CD OF THIS!
Defy anyone to sit still while listening and watching this. Love it!
That is one uplifting lady. What an energy!
I didn't think this song could be any more epic until now
Great to hear this sound in this Orchest version.
This the performance I never thought I would get and now can no longer live without.
One of the best vocal on earth!
her voice is magical.. her techniques ..the control.. wow.😍
This is what pop should be. Well composed and overflowing with talent on all sides.
How could I ever love a woman other than Sarah B after watching this?
For anyone wondering where Ben is, he is on the Timpani in the back wearing a maroon looking suit
FYI, he's playing a turned down & muted bass drum, as well as a covered snare drum, not timpani
yeah I was wondering like where is Ben Folds and why did they put him on the title? and then I saw him playing percussion lol
You see him at 1:57
He once said that he thought he would be a percussionist
He looks like he's having fun!
You can be amazing
You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug
You can be the outcast
Or be the backlash of somebody’s lack of love
Or you can start speaking up
Nothing’s gonna hurt you the way that words do
And they settle ‘neath your skin
Kept on the inside and no sunlight
Sometimes a shadow wins
But I wonder what would happen if you
Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I wanna see you be brave
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I wanna see you be brave
Everybody’s been there, everybody’s been stared down
By the enemy
Fallen for the fear and done some disappearing
Bow down to the mighty
Don’t run, stop holding your tongue
Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
Show me how big your brave is
Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
Innocence, your history of silence
Won’t do you any good
Did you think it would?
Let your words be anything but empty
Why don’t you tell them the truth?
Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I wanna see you be brave
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
See you be brave
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
Thank you for the declassification of national treasure!
watching this with a smile on my face.. she's really incredible 😍
Amazing! I prefer listening to her live performances.
Glady Reyes When an artist is great, its always better to watch a live performance because they can recreate their songs and we can feel much more emotion. And of course, its always nice to hear good singers singing live.
The horns in that arrangement? Magnificent!
I'm just so happy and proud that I went to her concert (surprisingly small) when she came to Seoul once upon a time !
I have an 8 Yr old daughter fast approaching adolescence. I play this for her every chance I get.
Just like Taylor Swift, Sara can keep her vocals so on point you'd think she's recording live.
This just puts a smile on my face and warms my soul
Love this version, it mixes both the joyful feeling of the original and we can hear Sara's amazing vocals and contagious energy of the orchestra.
I’ve listened to this song like a thousand times a day and still love it
Like when im watching brave I'm gonna save it for the arrow part cause it's my fave and some day ill catch that wave and come out of that cave looking up at the suns rays then ill make it play
That orchestra hit kills. 😭
Oh man this is so good! I'm crying with how good everything is from the singer, to the beautiful orchestra, and the beautiful message of the song.
What a finish by the orchestra, what a voice by Sara!!
I don't know why this makes me smile
I have been smiling. The whole damn time. God, i love Sara
Great lyrics, great arrangement, great singing and all around great performance! Love Sara and was fun to see this song of hers performed with an orchestra. 🎶
May all who listen to this song in any form be emboldened to speak up tfor the best and highest good of all!! 🌈
I love this song, and this version with the symphony is just amazing.
Love this! Love Sara! Ben Folds playing timpani in the back with complete gusto is icing on the cake!
this part is majestic 1:33 🤩
Sarah is awesome.
Still a favorite! I would love to meet Sara!
Talent and hardwork at their Peak - Sara Barellies
The orchestral version is so mighty and lovely 💓💓💓
Saw her in concert twice, once at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK. I swear she looked right at me and into my eyes. I think I fell in love that night.
American spirit inherited from ancestor founding father, that is in invincible . Justice, wisdom and mercy. God bless American.
She's so good even Ben Folds plays her drummer.
Love the song to begin with, but the arrangement here is simply amazing. And loving what Ben's doing on the percussion too. What a great performance.
I've always enjoyed listening to Sara alone on the piano, but now I'd love to hear more of Sara with an orchestra.
... sometimes a person thinks that they alone have come up with a pretty thing to look at; a clay sculpture, a painting, perhaps an embroidered shawl, an epic saga of kings and their offspring, that stretches over many centuries, or maybe a poem, or a song; in which case, they'll seem to reach within themselves, down the labyrinthine recesses of their hearts, and when their lips part, they lift up their voices to the firmament, shaking the rafters, and the echoes fly out, each one a zephyr, that whispers of changing times, and just as the song had issued forth from the artist's mouth, it spread to nearly unfathomable proportions, flew over the waters and the earth alike, awakening minds which had seemed irreparable, it rushed ever onwards, setting frozen hearts ablaze, and blinded eyes alight with the efffulgence of the earth's beauty that surrounds us all, and they who'd accepted, with some resignation, that they were unloved and forgotten, that life is futile, all is vanity, yet all on a sudden, a bizarre sort of silent thunder pealed within them all, a storm broke upon the parched earth of their long shrivelled and bitter hearts, they trembled and wept for joy, because now they could touch the eternal, and they would fear nothing; that's what it's like, when God has decided that you're the best medium for His present purposes, and through the soul stirring voice of miss bareilles, He's doing precisely that! heartfelt commendations, Miss Bareilles, I humbly salute thee, please keep right on changing the world for the better, you're an absolute inspiration ! 😍😍😍
Gonna watch this all my life
Sara's lyrics are not just random words they carry a mantle and have significance to a live life. what an amazing artist. I am such in awe of her and how she moves me with her songs and I'm not even a fan of this genre.
Oh my god!!! What a fantastic arrangement and with Sara's melodic voice, nothing can top this!
This orchestra is amazing. I think I just find this beautiful, because without all of these musicians coming together, working together and harmoniously playing together, the orchestra would be a mess.
This song is so much fun with an orchestra
i am in love with her voice
Another excellent arrangement by Alex Lacamoire!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Sara was, of course, awesome as usual! 😍
Is it possible to love her even more?
Wow! So good so much skill in one room!!
So goooooood!
Such a fabulous voice, such a great talent. Equalled only by Regina Spektor. I bow too you, Sara Bareilles.
I have crippling social anxiety this song inspires me
Just love Sara and the words to "Brave" touch everyone's heart...yesterday, today or fear of tomorrows.
How I love the energy of this song. Many thanks for it! :)
Love Sara. She’s Boss!!!
Beautiful! Thank you! Amazing talent!
amazing singer
Fantastic!!!!👏👏👏
Silence has a dignity all of its own; telling the truth looks like begging to in- crowds, cliques, gangs, etc. Sadly, that's the answer to your question, but I do, and will always love both this song and you for writing it.
SARA, thank you for making my day !!!
This is truly delightful!
This version is sooooo gooood!!!
PERFECT! 🥺❤
This is incredible performance ❤️❤️ i wish i have a chance to go to her concert. Hope, she will do tour in South East Asia.
I just discovered this video, and I can't stop watching it. It's so incredible! Love it!
Wow, sobrang galing! 👏👏💯
What a fantastic arrangement. Sara's lyrics really deserve this grand presentation.
The best version ❤️🤘🏻
Mmm popular pieces set to symphonic arrangements like this are just SO amazing for the ears. Glad this popped up in my recommendations feed. Well done, UA-cam. Well done
I'm a simple kid, I see pieces touched by Alex Lacamoire, I thumbs up, no questions asked.
What a genius song in a world that really needs ...Bravery! Love it!
Mad respect to Sara, but also... As someone who loves to belt this tune out, but doesn't always succeed at staying in tune on the tough parts, it's reassuring to know that last chorus is tough for even her to nail perfectly. And I love that she's willing to self-effacingly own the insecurities that come with reaching high, like the epilogue of her music video for Gonna Get Over You.
Goosebumps.......seriously.....wow
Hers is the voice than can teleport you to other planets. Incomparable!
Sarah has got some pipes
I love this song! We should all live by this.
