I just got the 13 mini today to replace my 12 Pro Max. And prior to that, I was using 12 mini. I keep coming back to the smaller phones and I absolutely love the size of the 13 mini + all its features. It just WORKS and ENOUGH! Tired with all the big sizes phone. I believe I will stick with 13 mini for very long time unless there's new mini phones from apple introduce in the future.
Me! I'm saving up and hoping for a slight price drop. I'm currently using an SE 2020. Why the mini? Several reasons. 1. I exclusively use my phone one handed. "Normal" phones nowadays are too big for one handed use. 2. It comes in green, my favourite colour. I've only ever had boring black or silver phones, so I finally want something in a colour I chose. 3. I need more storage compared to my 128gb SE 4. I don't like the direction Apple is heading with their current phones (E SIM, possible all haptic buttons, rumours of portless phones, huge camera bumps, all things that seem to be coming soon which I don't want). 5. I like small, unobtrusive devices. So with all that, when's the next time Apple will release a small phone in a colour I like with not too many features I dislike? My guess is never. The iPhone 13 mini IS that phone.
I switched from the 12 Pro Max to 13 Mini last year and can honestly say I don’t miss the larger form factor at all! The mini is the perfect balance of power and portability in my opinion. It does everything I need it to and being able to use it one-handed is very underrated. I do hope Apple bring back the mini form factor in future phone models…not everyone wants a big phone 😂
I agree with this. I think apple should remove the 14 plus and replace with the 14 mini. Moving forward of course. Next gen shouldn’t have a regular 15 plus.
I bought my 13 mini four days ago, I genuinely love it! I had a pro max and don’t miss it. It’s programming and features compliment it’s form factor. I thought I wasn’t going to like it and in fact love it! I did a whole day with minimal use throughout my 9 hour work day and happy to say I came home to a 70% battery. Mind you, I’m not constantly on my phone at work. Very satisfied with i!
@@JTemperance Late comment, but 128 GB is actually plenty of space as long as you aren't a Content Hoarder (Too many Pictures and Videos). You can can have a decent number of Large apps (by large i mean 1GBbor more). However, unlike Android, you can't add additional External storage with SD cards. So what you pay is what you get. 128 GB lasted me for 1.5 years before I got my first "Low Storage Space 💽 error" And i have like 15k + Pictures, Music and Videos. Along with a decent number of Large Apps.
I love my iPhone 13 mini. It's just such a special package at a time where phones just keep getting bigger and heavier. It can be used and carried around effortlessly, has enough battery life for a moderate user like me and really good cameras. When the time will come for an upgrade, I'll be sad that there won't be an updated Mini to pick.
@@vedangshinde343 It lasts me slightly over a day. I don't play any games. My usage consists of calls, texts, some social media browsing, photo and videography if I am out and about, and various apps as required.
@@arkantochiron my screen on time now is 2.5 hrs and screen of time is 1-1.5 hrs. Will I be able to get thru a whole day ? (rest of the time I switch off my mobile data, wifi,etc)
@@vedangshinde343 it’s substantially better than the previous mini even though that also is a good phone, I think it’s with heavy use you notice the battery not being great but on the 13 mini it’s much much better.
I when to the Apple Store for a new iPhone, checked all the devices and purchased an iPhone 13 Mini. Absolutely love the size and I hope it makes a comeback.
Just got myself a 13 mini and love it. My favorite iPhone of all time was the SE1 and this feels like it’s spiritual successor with iPhone 13 specs in a smaller chassis. If only it had a 3.5mm jack then it would be perfect
Purchased the 13 mini last month as a replacement for a 7, which wasn’t being supported after iOS15. This is the perfect “pocket size” and will be supported until circa 2027. Direct from Apple (including a discount for the 7), SIM free and does everything I need. I hope they think again and release a “mini” in the future.
Nothing is wrong with the iPhone 13 mini. It is a fantastic device. It is by no means a small display; it is completely adequate, it’s just that phones theses days have gone ridiculously large which makes the iPhone 13 mini look smaller.
I just got mine like 2 weeks ago. I bought the midnight 128gb one. I like it a lot, before I had a bigger Samsung phone. Honestly, one of the best phones I’ve ever owned. But it just got in the way because of how big it was. So I went looking for a smaller phone, sadly Samsung ended their S10e lineup of small phones. So I just got the iPhone 13 mini. I personally like both Apple and android, both have their own uses. But to get back on topic, yeah the iPhone 13 mini, go for it. Won’t be disappointed y’all 👌👍
I'm upgrading from my X. I saw the mini in target and fell in love with the size. Reminds me of something between the iphone 4&5. Tbh I'd by a mini pro. While I like to scroll Twitter and that damn clock app, I browse other media on my laptop. The size is simply superior.
Had a 12 mini; upgraded to a 13 mini; upgraded to a 14 pro, went back to another 13 mini. There’s just something iconic about the 13 mini. It’s a huge improvement over the 12 mini like the 6s was over the 6. This is why it will still be popular in 5 years.
Went from the iphone 11 to iphone 13 mini last year, when the 14 launched Just love the form factor, its a great device, pocket friendly. it has a screen protector on and a silicon case and still I barely notice it. Would love my next iphone to be the same size with slightly better battery life but will stick with this as long as I can.
I my opinion the 13 mini is the best phone ever made, a perfect balance of performance, form factor, features and battery life!! My only niggle is after 15 months in only have 85% of battery life left on the battery.
I don't know how Apple measure their sales, but it seems like they're jumping to conclusions too quickly. A lot of people can't afford these expensive phones when they first come out and buy them when prices are reduced. I bought 13 mini a few months ago after Apple already announced that they will stop making the mini model because of poor sales. It was time to upgrade from XS and 13 mini ticked all the boxes for me. Surely I'm not the only one who doesn't run to Apple store as soon as a new model is released.
I went from an XS, which was the largest iPhone I'd ever had and wanted to downgrade after the first 2 weeks of using, to a 13 mini the moment I was able to. I think what makes the mini special is that it's a unique size, whereas the 14 Plus is a size that it shares with another phone in the lineup. If you want the best phone, and also like that size, you go for the Pro Max. If you want a small phone? You're shit out of luck. If they had made a 13 mini and a 13 Pro mini, I would have gotten a Pro mini instead, and I think a lot of mini fans would have as well.
I had the 12 and the 13 mini and still miss them to this day. And I’m always thinking of getting one again, but just like you I’m hoping they make a newer model or a pro mini that would be my absolute dream phone.
I don't know why people are saying they "miss" the 13 mini. It's still here and it's only a little more than a year old. It'll probably get updates for years to come. You can probably get it for a great deal now. Does everyone need a phone released in the past 3 months to be happy?
I’m glad I bought one of these 13 Mini models even though I still use my iPhone 6S as my daily driver. Having had the battery in my 6S replaced, my 6S is the one I take out in public. If the 6S goes bad, then I have the 13 Mini to take up the slack. I like that fact my 13 Mini has a SIM slot, so I can activate it without calling someone up and asking for permission to do so. The iPhone 14 lacks a SIM card slot here…so the 13 Mini will be the final iPhone I ever buy.
I've had iPhone 2 before and iPhone 13 mini made me return to Apple after many years of android era. Mini probably the best phone I've ever had. And I think it is great Apple release 14+ to understand the mini lovers are a strong&loyal community in whole world who will wait for mini 15 or mini 16. Absolutely LOVE LOVE my mini! Size weight are my perfect preferences. Phones are for calls and texts,..ipads are for media consumption! Debating buying a second one while they are still available for future use, but hoping Apple wakes up and has something similiar in their next line up..
Just ordered mine 15 minutes ago! Been watching these 13mini videos for some months now, and every time a new video comes out it keeps reassuring me I made a good decision! I wanted a fair price, amazing camera, comfort and small size to try and shorten my phone usage and I'm really excited to have it!!
I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
Traded in my 12 Pro for a 13 mini a month ago, and love it! The 12 Pro was just so heavy (IMO, stainless steel isn’t worth the heft), and the Pro-exclusive features (telephoto lens, raw capture) are rarely missed. Battery life is about the same. Best of all, no more pinky fatigue (I can’t be the only one who uses their pinky to hold up their non-mini phones, right?). Would definitely recommend the 13 mini in 2023.
iPhone 13 mini is the best iPhone ever. The only thing, that could be even better would be an iPhone mini Pro (with a Pro camera and a 120Hz display), and yes, I would pay iPhone Pro money for an iPhone mini Pro. Without batting an eye.
I waited for a 14mini but since that was not happening and SE cant come soon enough, I bought the 13 mini finally and absolutely LOVE IT. Nothing beats the portability and the power this small phone has.
Finally get my iPhone 13 mini, used, half year old, 100% condition.. It is really tiny one, but seems tha I can use it with no issues, battery live seems to be two days for my usage.
The iPhone 13 mini "turned" me into an Apple user. I have been looking for a capable and smaller phone for years. Now I have a MacBook air and an apple watch because of it. So, Tim Cook has made quite a profit at my expense.
The camera just makes the phone look so weird but if they can fit the camera in with the design and give more colors they should make them by order only
Just ordered my iPhone 13 mini, can’t wait to get it, I’m upgrading from the iPhone 8 plus. I really hope they U-turn on abandoning the mini range, as a current user of the 8 plus, I can’t stand these oversized phones and I can’t think of any reason why apple would have four options for mini ipad’s. When you have the standard phone, the pro and the pro max there really is no need for a plus as well. They have just completely removed themselves from a market of small or in my opinion, normal sized phones and that will surely lose them more money than if they abandoned the plus or the pro. I will keep the 13 mini until 1. I actually need to upgrade my phone either through damage or no longer supported. And, 2. Apple release another mini phone, I am certain that when I get the 13 mini I am not going to want to have a giant phone again. Please apple, give the people what they want!!
I love the mini. Bought the 12 mini, then got the 13 mini just because of the battery improvement. And I would’ve bought the 14 mini had they made it. Apple really made a mistake killing the mini series.
@@cedarwalnut I mean.... the sales of the 14 plus have been leaked and the sales of the plus are horrible. Which from the looks of the sales trends, the 13 mini looks (as of current predictions) like it'll beat the 14 plus in terms of sales. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if they brought the mini back for the 15. Now as far as your statement on cost outweighing profits.... It's common knowledge that the cost of producing an iphone, or any phone for that matter isn't as expensive as how much the MSRP for the device is and Apple does in fact charge close to 50% more than the device actually costs in order to make more money. But like I said this is common knowledge as Apple has been doing this since the Macintosh hit the market.
I just upgraded my SE to 13 mini. Cost me $80 with verizon. Best and cheapest phone I ever had, though I'm still adjusting to no home button and all the swiping. The battery dies faster than expected and it gets hot...usability is is good, though not a fan of the top/notch area. Prior to SE, I had 6S (basically same thing as SE with downgraded hardware thought had battery problems). And before that I had 5S and really liked that phone... nice and small, though was maybe a tad bit too small as my fingers mashed keyboard keys. SE size and usability is best IMO. The only option today for similar is 13 mini. There is a fanbase that wants that smaller more usable fun despite the marketing craze of huge screen. Personally, I don't use my 13 mini as a primary computer or screen... it serves as a mobile communication and navigation device.
I'm seriously considering the iPhone 13 mini. I am currently using the 6s and it's time to upgrade. I have small hands so I'm not thrilled about the 14 line-up
I just got mine yesterday and I cant wait to use it! My reasoning? I'm tired of giant phones and the giant prices. As a woman with small hands, the size of the mini is greatly appreciated and takes me back to the days of my iphone 5. Beautiful design, great screen, and I can do everything with one hand. No more awkward hand gymnastics to reach something in the top left corner, and no more of that screen dropping garbage. Love love love.
Smart phones are so massive these days its kind of depressing. The nostalagia of holding a compact phone is so joyful. I go two phones first one is the samsung 52s for my content consumption which I mostly leave at my house cause I dont own a tablet or an ipad and second one is my 12 mini which is my daily driver and it is such a treat to use that phone . But the battery life has degraded over the years. I was furious when they canceled the mini line up. How could Apple be so stupid. Only if there was a 15 mini I would be so so happy to upgrade which is kind of impossible thing. It would be a miracle if they lauched 15 mini. Otherwise after few months I will be okay to settle down for 13 mini after watching countless videos about it.
I was in Japan for 2 weeks last month, and I was amazed how many times I saw the iphone mini in the hands of the japanese people. I love my iphone 13 mini, and I hope the future SE will feature the chassi of the mini.
Got one yesterday. Loving the size. Coming from someone who used a 14 Pro Max. Battery life is average but I can deal with the compromises for the beautiful size.
I have the iPhone 13 mini and love it. I would never consider buying the 14 plus or any subsequent plus model. If I need a bigger screen, my iPads - both a mini and air - will satisfy me more than any plus model ever could. For a phone, I need one that is easy in the hand, easy in the pocket, that I can carry with me at all times and that can also provide all the functions a bigger phone has when I need them. So, from the SE 1rst gen ro the 13 mini, I’m definitely a mini fan

Nobody bought a 14 plus bc it's specs are not worth the money. I looked at the 14 pro coming from the huge brick 12 pro max I had. I have pretty big hands and it was starting to actually give me hand pain and I could not one hand across screen comfortably. I'm super happy with my mini and even have a battery pack which unless traveling I never need to use. 13 mini is king 👑😎
I just bought a 13 mini this week, the main reason is that it's basically a cheaper iPhone 13 and currently the best value for money in apple's lineup. For 600 bucks I get a great camera, the A15 bionic, and a reasonably affordable first iPhone. If you don't care about display size (honestly I'm tired of huge phones) and can live with the relatively short battery life (which is honestly super manageable) the 13 mini is the best iPhone deal right now. The difference between the 13 mini and the 14 plus is that the 14 plus is practically just an iPhone 14 just a bit more expensive, and the 13 mini is basically a 13 just a bit cheaper, which makes miles more sense.
Just picked up an iPhone 13 Mini as we are going away on holidays and I wanted a decent camera for stills and video. My last iPhone was the 2020SE, as I like the smaller form factor iPhones and had been happy with that phone, except for the camera. Absolutely delighted with the IPhone 13 mini, which addresses all the shortcomings of the SE in spades and gives you basically all the big features of the iPhone range at the very best price, wrapped up in a wonderful and convenient form factor. Hands down the best smartphone I have owned.
I just bought a 13mini in august when I was sure Apple didn’t have a mini 14 in their plan, I would almost buy another one just in case this one fail 😉
I bought a 13 mini in August to replace my older phone. I'm not going to upgrade it for a very very long time because it works as a phone. I notice I'm doing less unnecessary things with it so I'm ultimately more productive. The screen size is big enough and when I'm doing proper work, I'm going to use a different device.
Upgraded from iPhone X. I am glad that I did. iPhone 13 Mini feels like a phone, not a tablet. I realized that I was torturing myself with large phones. 13 Mini just feels comfortable and fun to use.
I bought the 14 Plus. It's an incredible machine. The reason people don't buy it in droves is because its price is only $100 or so cheeper than the Pro Max. But here in Canada the difference is $300 and it makes perfect sense to get it. MKBHD considered the Plus the phone with the best battery, and I concur. I'm a power user and the Plus's battery lasts me two full days. If you don't give a damn, like me, about the dynamic island, the 42 megapixel camera, and promotion, then the Plus is your best bet.
You say the "iPhone 14 plus doesn't make any sense." I think you're half right. I would say the "iPhone 14 Plus doesn't make any sense at the price Apple are charging for it." I was lucky, I picked up a week old 14 Plus for 30% less than full retail. At that price it made a lot of sense. There is a market for it. People who are happy with the regular iPhone but want a bigger screen. Nothing more or less than that. It doesn't need to do anything the regular iPhone doesn't, it just needs to be cheaper. Apple's pricing strategy (aka corporate greed) made a second hand 13 Pro Max a much better value proposition at the time of release hence the lack of interest. Still, I think 14 Plus is a great product and if Apple had released it at a price that smacked of great value (like the price I paid for it for example), I reckon they sales would have been much stronger. 13 mini is also a great product and that definitely has a market, bigger than the Plus I suspect but they both have their place in my opinion. The SE is the phone that doesn't make sense. I suspect a merge of the mini and SE is one the cards.
In about 15 minutes I’m whooshing down to Argos to replace my 14 Pro with the 13 Mini. Had a 13 mini before and going back to it. Seriously the best thing they’ve ever churned out. Just hoping they’ll consider it again on the 16 line up next year!
I'm buying an iPhone 13 mini because my iPhone 11 started having issues. I've been reviewing videos on the iPhone 13 mini (like yours), and I'm sold on its performance and size. I want a powerful phone that can easily slip into my pocket. Using a phone with one hand is also a significant plus. I've been totally unimpressed with the Apple 14 lineup, and as far as the Apple 14 plus goes, why would I want to use a small tablet for a phone?
I kept the original iPhone SE for several years, eventually replacing it with a refurb SE when the battery dies, and upgraded to the Mini 12. I'll eventually get a Mini 13 before it goes away completely. I don't want or need a bigger phone.
Pricing boosts sales or busts sales of iPhone’s, the mini would have sold much better if it hadn’t been released at such high price compared to standard iphone an pro, also only producing mini for 2yrs was stupid when most people keep phone 3yrs now because of higher costs and lack of innovation in segment today, Apples problem is they don’t have a visionary or perfectionist running company anymore and it is showing in their products, especially the glitches in software last 3-4yrs, Tim cook is a great logistics guy but the rest he seems to fall short!
The iPhone 14 and 14 plus are probably the worst phones released in a while for apples lineup because both of them are basically the same internally and the iPhone 14 is the same externally too I just don’t think it should exist
I think apple should release the iPhone mini every two years . In its first year, it should be $600, if apple want to be greedy $650. In the second year it should be $500 then in the third discontinue and release a number mini . The main reason the mini didn't sell was due to the fact that it was abit expensive.When 12 mini was reduced to $500 it was gone in days . What apple has to do is to keep the same form factor and material to keep costs down then add some latest tech .
I just bought iPhone 13 mini product red 15 days ago and I am in love with it. Didn't find 15 lineup that interesting and I was already fed up with the size and bulkyness of my old iPhone 11. The only problem apart from short battery life is it's heating issue. I feel that it happened with all my previously bought new iPhones too. All of them used to heat unexpectedly for first couple of weeks. Looks like engine breaking of a new car or a motorcycle, these devices need some time to get acclimatized 😄. Will observe after a month of use. So far I have turned Battery saver mode to always on through siri shortcut and didn't face any issues at all. I have also turned off the battery percentage from the battery icon to reduce range anxiety due to rapidly dropping battery. Everything else is awesome as I expected.
Well, I just bought an iPhone 13 mini in 2023, and I wanted to buy it from the Apple store, well in there alongside the 13 I was really started to get worried I had made the wrong choice, because it seemed ridiculously small next to the 13, but I paid, and while I won't open it yet because I want to put the screen protector on the second I take the paper sticker off the screen, I hope it in an otterbox defender case will remind me of my iPhone 8 in an otterbox case
I have just bought an iPhone 13 mini, yes, I have tiny hands but that wasn’t the reason. I video people’s runs with their dogs at our training club so they can analyse their runs, lots of people and lots of different phones, one phone always stood out and when I eventually asked what iPhone it was it was the iPhone 13 mini, I was impressed enough to buy one.
Just bought a Mini yesterday 1.18.23. Traded in my IPhone 11. My Brother just recently purchased an SE 3rd Generation. He upgraded from a SE 1st Generation. Upon playing with his new SE, it made me miss a smaller phone. I was going to purchase an SE but I knew I would miss some of the features of the 11 like face recognition (the SE only has fingerprint recognition), I didn’t want to go back to the home button (which the SE still has) and the Mini has a better camera than the SE. So, after looking at the Mini, for me, it was a no brainer. IPhone 13 Mini…..small size like the SE but updated features like the 11 I was trading in!
I will absolutely buy a 13 mini, mostly because my 8 plus is slowly dyeing but also because I regret buying a big phone. At the time I bought it because I used to read on my phone but since then I got an iPad and a MacBook so I don't need a big phone anymore.
We just got my dad an iPhone 13 mini for his birthday. Since it has the A-15, the same chip that’s in the base iPhone 14, it made perfect sense because he hates the bigger phones.
I just let go of my iPhone 8 which I loved the size and the home button. My grandson suggested iPhone 13 mini and I came across your videos. Im not a fan of the larger phones. Loving your 13 mini content. From the new lineup I see no reason to change from mine, I love the small size and power of this little phone! If they bought out a mini pro, that would be something very special!
Hopefully they bring it back for the 15 and give the pro motion 120hz for their whole line and stop making it a pro exclusive...or at least give the regular iphone lineup 90hz... Like a mini with the three camera setup would be nice too.
My wife has a 14 plus & absolutely loves it over the regular one for screen size when watching Netflix etc. me on the other hand don’t really watch videos that much on a phone & use it mostly for music streaming so would probably be better off with a 13 mini.
I'm a WFH IT support guy and as of yesterday, flogged my 13 pro max in favour of the 13 mini. I also have the Samsung s23 ultra, which I use as my daily driver. As my main laptop is the macbook air M2, I didn't want to loose the ecosystem which comes with having an iPhone. I also didn't see the need for having x2 large screen phones, so the 13 mini fits in perfectly into my WFH workflow.
I recently switched from the 13 pro to 13 mini and I'm loving the form factor of this phone. Apple should've have continued the mini series with something more better. I think they will release the new se in this size prolly.
I love love love my 13 mini as I despise large phones (not ergonomic for me to hold all day). I wish Apple can consistently have a mini in their lineup. Wish there’s a 15 mini coming soon.
I really wish it would become the new form factor for the SE line. If the price was lower it would be very popular. It does not need the latest chip or best screen/camera. I got my mini because I needed a phone I could bring outside when I'm running around with little kids. My old phone had been pulling my pants down when running around with it in my shorts pocket.
If you're primarily using the iPhone 13 mini as a _phone_ , then it's actually a very nice device. But given that people use cellphones as an Internet access device a lot nowadays, not so much becuase the display might be a bit too small. That's why the 6.1" form factor of the iPhone 12/13/14 strikes a good compromise because usable size and screen readability.
Couldn’t agree more. This is why I do not unterstand apples decision to drop the mini. I live in Germany and a lot of people have the mini because they use ist as a small mobile phone. Everything which needs a bigger screen is done on tablets, laptops or desktops. So for people which use their phone in this way it’s great. For everyone else there are bigger iPhones. I think the combination of mini, normal size, normal size pro and big size pro is perfect. Or maybe replace the mini with a mini pro. But I guess there isn’t enough place. 😅
I have iphone 12 pro, but I bought iphone 13 mini, because it is smaller and lighther. Iphone 12 pro is so big that my throusers drop down. Then I have problems with the pockets, because iphone 12 pro is too big. So I changed to smaller and lighter phone, iphone 13 mini.
I bought the iPhone 13 mini having had a large screen phone in the past as a one stop for travelling. However, the smaller phone where the Apple wallet sits neatly on the back is the best for me. It is light and fits in pockets without being noticeable. If I need a larger screen I simply use my Macbook Pro14" or an iPAD.
I love the cute little mini, reminds me of my iPod in high school, Only way more power. Coming from using the 12 pro max (it’s a great device ) but I can say the mini is way more comfortable to hold and the pro max is phonezilla lol.

I will be buying a 13 mini this year, primarily for the size. I’ve used the latest flagships from Apple and Samsung. They’re great. However, until a phone can do everything a laptop can, I really want my phone to be more of a phone. The mini send to satisfy my needs quite nicely without needless expensive fluff.

I keep coming back to the smaller phones and I absolutely love the size of the 13 mini + all its features. It just WORKS and ENOUGH! Tired with all the big sizes phone. I believe I will stick with 13 mini for very long time unless there's new mini phones from apple introduce in the future.
Me! I'm saving up and hoping for a slight price drop. I'm currently using an SE 2020.
Why the mini? Several reasons.
1. I exclusively use my phone one handed. "Normal" phones nowadays are too big for one handed use.
2. It comes in green, my favourite colour. I've only ever had boring black or silver phones, so I finally want something in a colour I chose.
3. I need more storage compared to my 128gb SE
4. I don't like the direction Apple is heading with their current phones (E SIM, possible all haptic buttons, rumours of portless phones, huge camera bumps, all things that seem to be coming soon which I don't want).
5. I like small, unobtrusive devices.
So with all that, when's the next time Apple will release a small phone in a colour I like with not too many features I dislike? My guess is never. The iPhone 13 mini IS that phone.
I got mine just last week. I still can’t get over the fact that it is so comfortable to use and type one handed! I am very happy with my purchase 👌🏻

My iPhone 14 Plus was stolen. I jumped on the 13 Mini as I can't be bothered with the big screens anymore. I'm actually happy with the 13 Mini.
I switched from the 12 Pro Max to 13 Mini last year and can honestly say I don’t miss the larger form factor at all! The mini is the perfect balance of power and portability in my opinion. It does everything I need it to and being able to use it one-handed is very underrated. I do hope Apple bring back the mini form factor in future phone models…not everyone wants a big phone 😂
I have a 12 pro max and i wanna go to the mini but i also want the 48mp from the 14 pro. Overall i just wanna down size from the pro max size

I bought my 13 mini four days ago, I genuinely love it! I had a pro max and don’t miss it. It’s programming and features compliment it’s form factor. I thought I wasn’t going to like it and in fact love it! I did a whole day with minimal use throughout my 9 hour work day and happy to say I came home to a 70% battery. Mind you, I’m not constantly on my phone at work. Very satisfied with i!

@@JTemperance Late comment, but 128 GB is actually plenty of space as long as you aren't a Content Hoarder (Too many Pictures and Videos).
You can can have a decent number of Large apps (by large i mean 1GBbor more).
However, unlike Android, you can't add additional External storage with SD cards. So what you pay is what you get.
128 GB lasted me for 1.5 years before I got my first "Low Storage Space 💽 error"
And i have like 15k + Pictures, Music and Videos. Along with a decent number of Large Apps.

I love my iPhone 13 mini. It's just such a special package at a time where phones just keep getting bigger and heavier. It can be used and carried around effortlessly, has enough battery life for a moderate user like me and really good cameras. When the time will come for an upgrade, I'll be sad that there won't be an updated Mini to pick.

@@vedangshinde343 It lasts me slightly over a day. I don't play any games. My usage consists of calls, texts, some social media browsing, photo and videography if I am out and about, and various apps as required.
@@arkantochiron my screen on time now is 2.5 hrs and screen of time is 1-1.5 hrs. Will I be able to get thru a whole day ? (rest of the time I switch off my mobile data, wifi,etc)
@@vedangshinde343 it’s substantially better than the previous mini even though that also is a good phone, I think it’s with heavy use you notice the battery not being great but on the 13 mini it’s much much better.
I when to the Apple Store for a new iPhone, checked all the devices and purchased an iPhone 13 Mini. Absolutely love the size and I hope it makes a comeback.
Just got myself a 13 mini and love it. My favorite iPhone of all time was the SE1 and this feels like it’s spiritual successor with iPhone 13 specs in a smaller chassis. If only it had a 3.5mm jack then it would be perfect
Purchased the 13 mini last month as a replacement for a 7, which wasn’t being supported after iOS15. This is the perfect “pocket size” and will be supported until circa 2027. Direct from Apple (including a discount for the 7), SIM free and does everything I need. I hope they think again and release a “mini” in the future.

Nothing is wrong with the iPhone 13 mini. It is a fantastic device. It is by no means a small display; it is completely adequate, it’s just that phones theses days have gone ridiculously large which makes the iPhone 13 mini look smaller.

I just got mine like 2 weeks ago. I bought the midnight 128gb one. I like it a lot, before I had a bigger Samsung phone. Honestly, one of the best phones I’ve ever owned. But it just got in the way because of how big it was. So I went looking for a smaller phone, sadly Samsung ended their S10e lineup of small phones. So I just got the iPhone 13 mini. I personally like both Apple and android, both have their own uses. But to get back on topic, yeah the iPhone 13 mini, go for it. Won’t be disappointed y’all 👌👍
I'm upgrading from my X. I saw the mini in target and fell in love with the size. Reminds me of something between the iphone 4&5. Tbh I'd by a mini pro. While I like to scroll Twitter and that damn clock app, I browse other media on my laptop. The size is simply superior.
Had a 12 mini; upgraded to a 13 mini; upgraded to a 14 pro, went back to another 13 mini. There’s just something iconic about the 13 mini. It’s a huge improvement over the 12 mini like the 6s was over the 6. This is why it will still be popular in 5 years.

I upgraded from S9 to iPhone 13 mini and I don’t miss the bigger screen. I only plan to upgrade my 128gbs to 258gbs or maybe the 512 iphone mini.
Went from the iphone 11 to iphone 13 mini last year, when the 14 launched Just love the form factor, its a great device, pocket friendly. it has a screen protector on and a silicon case and still I barely notice it. Would love my next iphone to be the same size with slightly better battery life but will stick with this as long as I can.
I my opinion the 13 mini is the best phone ever made, a perfect balance of performance, form factor, features and battery life!! My only niggle is after 15 months in only have 85% of battery life left on the battery.
I don't know how Apple measure their sales, but it seems like they're jumping to conclusions too quickly. A lot of people can't afford these expensive phones when they first come out and buy them when prices are reduced. I bought 13 mini a few months ago after Apple already announced that they will stop making the mini model because of poor sales. It was time to upgrade from XS and 13 mini ticked all the boxes for me. Surely I'm not the only one who doesn't run to Apple store as soon as a new model is released.

I went from an XS, which was the largest iPhone I'd ever had and wanted to downgrade after the first 2 weeks of using, to a 13 mini the moment I was able to. I think what makes the mini special is that it's a unique size, whereas the 14 Plus is a size that it shares with another phone in the lineup. If you want the best phone, and also like that size, you go for the Pro Max. If you want a small phone? You're shit out of luck. If they had made a 13 mini and a 13 Pro mini, I would have gotten a Pro mini instead, and I think a lot of mini fans would have as well.

I had the 12 and the 13 mini and still miss them to this day. And I’m always thinking of getting one again, but just like you I’m hoping they make a newer model or a pro mini that would be my absolute dream phone.
I don't know why people are saying they "miss" the 13 mini. It's still here and it's only a little more than a year old. It'll probably get updates for years to come. You can probably get it for a great deal now. Does everyone need a phone released in the past 3 months to be happy?

I’m glad I bought one of these 13 Mini models even though I still use my iPhone 6S as my daily driver. Having had the battery in my 6S replaced, my 6S is the one I take out in public. If the 6S goes bad, then I have the 13 Mini to take up the slack. I like that fact my 13 Mini has a SIM slot, so I can activate it without calling someone up and asking for permission to do so. The iPhone 14 lacks a SIM card slot here…so the 13 Mini will be the final iPhone I ever buy.

I've had iPhone 2 before and iPhone 13 mini made me return to Apple after many years of android era. Mini probably the best phone I've ever had. And I think it is great Apple release 14+ to understand the mini lovers are a strong&loyal community in whole world who will wait for mini 15 or mini 16. Absolutely LOVE LOVE my mini! Size weight are my perfect preferences. Phones are for calls and texts,..ipads are for media consumption! Debating buying a second one while they are still available for future use, but hoping Apple wakes up and has something similiar in their next line up..
Just ordered mine 15 minutes ago! Been watching these 13mini videos for some months now, and every time a new video comes out it keeps reassuring me I made a good decision! I wanted a fair price, amazing camera, comfort and small size to try and shorten my phone usage and I'm really excited to have it!!

I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini.
Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible.
It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
Traded in my 12 Pro for a 13 mini a month ago, and love it! The 12 Pro was just so heavy (IMO, stainless steel isn’t worth the heft), and the Pro-exclusive features (telephoto lens, raw capture) are rarely missed. Battery life is about the same. Best of all, no more pinky fatigue (I can’t be the only one who uses their pinky to hold up their non-mini phones, right?). Would definitely recommend the 13 mini in 2023.

Just upgraded from the 12 mini to the 13 mini in Late 2023 and never doubted my choice. Sure, the Pros were tempting, but the mini's just...perfect!
iPhone 13 mini is the best iPhone ever. The only thing, that could be even better would be an iPhone mini Pro (with a Pro camera and a 120Hz display), and yes, I would pay iPhone Pro money for an iPhone mini Pro. Without batting an eye.
I waited for a 14mini but since that was not happening and SE cant come soon enough, I bought the 13 mini finally and absolutely LOVE IT. Nothing beats the portability and the power this small phone has.
Finally get my iPhone 13 mini, used, half year old, 100% condition.. It is really tiny one, but seems tha I can use it with no issues, battery live seems to be two days for my usage.
The iPhone 13 mini "turned" me into an Apple user. I have been looking for a capable and smaller phone for years. Now I have a MacBook air and an apple watch because of it. So, Tim Cook has made quite a profit at my expense.
The camera just makes the phone look so weird but if they can fit the camera in with the design and give more colors they should make them by order only
Just ordered my iPhone 13 mini, can’t wait to get it, I’m upgrading from the iPhone 8 plus. I really hope they U-turn on abandoning the mini range, as a current user of the 8 plus, I can’t stand these oversized phones and I can’t think of any reason why apple would have four options for mini ipad’s. When you have the standard phone, the pro and the pro max there really is no need for a plus as well. They have just completely removed themselves from a market of small or in my opinion, normal sized phones and that will surely lose them more money than if they abandoned the plus or the pro. I will keep the 13 mini until 1. I actually need to upgrade my phone either through damage or no longer supported. And, 2. Apple release another mini phone, I am certain that when I get the 13 mini I am not going to want to have a giant phone again. Please apple, give the people what they want!!

@@cedarwalnut I mean.... the sales of the 14 plus have been leaked and the sales of the plus are horrible. Which from the looks of the sales trends, the 13 mini looks (as of current predictions) like it'll beat the 14 plus in terms of sales. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if they brought the mini back for the 15. Now as far as your statement on cost outweighing profits.... It's common knowledge that the cost of producing an iphone, or any phone for that matter isn't as expensive as how much the MSRP for the device is and Apple does in fact charge close to 50% more than the device actually costs in order to make more money. But like I said this is common knowledge as Apple has been doing this since the Macintosh hit the market.
I just upgraded my SE to 13 mini. Cost me $80 with verizon. Best and cheapest phone I ever had, though I'm still adjusting to no home button and all the swiping. The battery dies faster than expected and it gets hot...usability is is good, though not a fan of the top/notch area. Prior to SE, I had 6S (basically same thing as SE with downgraded hardware thought had battery problems). And before that I had 5S and really liked that phone... nice and small, though was maybe a tad bit too small as my fingers mashed keyboard keys. SE size and usability is best IMO. The only option today for similar is 13 mini. There is a fanbase that wants that smaller more usable fun despite the marketing craze of huge screen. Personally, I don't use my 13 mini as a primary computer or screen... it serves as a mobile communication and navigation device.
I'm seriously considering the iPhone 13 mini. I am currently using the 6s and it's time to upgrade. I have small hands so I'm not thrilled about the 14 line-up

I just got mine yesterday and I cant wait to use it! My reasoning? I'm tired of giant phones and the giant prices. As a woman with small hands, the size of the mini is greatly appreciated and takes me back to the days of my iphone 5. Beautiful design, great screen, and I can do everything with one hand. No more awkward hand gymnastics to reach something in the top left corner, and no more of that screen dropping garbage. Love love love.

Smart phones are so massive these days its kind of depressing. The nostalagia of holding a compact phone is so joyful. I go two phones first one is the samsung 52s for my content consumption which I mostly leave at my house cause I dont own a tablet or an ipad and second one is my 12 mini which is my daily driver and it is such a treat to use that phone . But the battery life has degraded over the years. I was furious when they canceled the mini line up. How could Apple be so stupid. Only if there was a 15 mini I would be so so happy to upgrade which is kind of impossible thing. It would be a miracle if they lauched 15 mini.
Otherwise after few months I will be okay to settle down for 13 mini after watching countless videos about it.
I was in Japan for 2 weeks last month, and I was amazed how many times I saw the iphone mini in the hands of the japanese people. I love my iphone 13 mini, and I hope the future SE will feature the chassi of the mini.

I have the iPhone 13 mini and love it. I would never consider buying the 14 plus or any subsequent plus model. If I need a bigger screen, my iPads - both a mini and air - will satisfy me more than any plus model ever could. For a phone, I need one that is easy in the hand, easy in the pocket, that I can carry with me at all times and that can also provide all the functions a bigger phone has when I need them. So, from the SE 1rst gen ro the 13 mini, I’m definitely a mini fan

Nobody bought a 14 plus bc it's specs are not worth the money. I looked at the 14 pro coming from the huge brick 12 pro max I had. I have pretty big hands and it was starting to actually give me hand pain and I could not one hand across screen comfortably. I'm super happy with my mini and even have a battery pack which unless traveling I never need to use. 13 mini is king 👑😎
I just bought a 13 mini this week, the main reason is that it's basically a cheaper iPhone 13 and currently the best value for money in apple's lineup. For 600 bucks I get a great camera, the A15 bionic, and a reasonably affordable first iPhone. If you don't care about display size (honestly I'm tired of huge phones) and can live with the relatively short battery life (which is honestly super manageable) the 13 mini is the best iPhone deal right now.
The difference between the 13 mini and the 14 plus is that the 14 plus is practically just an iPhone 14 just a bit more expensive, and the 13 mini is basically a 13 just a bit cheaper, which makes miles more sense.
Just picked up an iPhone 13 Mini as we are going away on holidays and I wanted a decent camera for stills and video. My last iPhone was the 2020SE, as I like the smaller form factor iPhones and had been happy with that phone, except for the camera. Absolutely delighted with the IPhone 13 mini, which addresses all the shortcomings of the SE in spades and gives you basically all the big features of the iPhone range at the very best price, wrapped up in a wonderful and convenient form factor. Hands down the best smartphone I have owned.

I bought a 13 mini in August to replace my older phone. I'm not going to upgrade it for a very very long time because it works as a phone. I notice I'm doing less unnecessary things with it so I'm ultimately more productive. The screen size is big enough and when I'm doing proper work, I'm going to use a different device.
Im going for the 13 mini pretty soon to replace my 11. All of them are TOO big por people like me with hand injuries. BRING BACK THE MINI
Upgraded from iPhone X. I am glad that I did. iPhone 13 Mini feels like a phone, not a tablet. I realized that I was torturing myself with large phones. 13 Mini just feels comfortable and fun to use.
Sitting here with my iPhone 13mini, which is definitely the most comfortable phone since iPhone 5s! Not interested in anything huge.
I bought the 14 Plus. It's an incredible machine. The reason people don't buy it in droves is because its price is only $100 or so cheeper than the Pro Max. But here in Canada the difference is $300 and it makes perfect sense to get it. MKBHD considered the Plus the phone with the best battery, and I concur. I'm a power user and the Plus's battery lasts me two full days. If you don't give a damn, like me, about the dynamic island, the 42 megapixel camera, and promotion, then the Plus is your best bet.
There is no place where the 14 Plus is only $100 cheaper than the 14 Pro Max. Regular Pro yes.

You say the "iPhone 14 plus doesn't make any sense." I think you're half right. I would say the "iPhone 14 Plus doesn't make any sense at the price Apple are charging for it."
I was lucky, I picked up a week old 14 Plus for 30% less than full retail. At that price it made a lot of sense.
There is a market for it. People who are happy with the regular iPhone but want a bigger screen. Nothing more or less than that. It doesn't need to do anything the regular iPhone doesn't, it just needs to be cheaper. Apple's pricing strategy (aka corporate greed) made a second hand 13 Pro Max a much better value proposition at the time of release hence the lack of interest. Still, I think 14 Plus is a great product and if Apple had released it at a price that smacked of great value (like the price I paid for it for example), I reckon they sales would have been much stronger.
13 mini is also a great product and that definitely has a market, bigger than the Plus I suspect but they both have their place in my opinion. The SE is the phone that doesn't make sense. I suspect a merge of the mini and SE is one the cards.
In about 15 minutes I’m whooshing down to Argos to replace my 14 Pro with the 13 Mini. Had a 13 mini before and going back to it. Seriously the best thing they’ve ever churned out. Just hoping they’ll consider it again on the 16 line up next year!
I'm buying an iPhone 13 mini because my iPhone 11 started having issues. I've been reviewing videos on the iPhone 13 mini (like yours), and I'm sold on its performance and size. I want a powerful phone that can easily slip into my pocket. Using a phone with one hand is also a significant plus. I've been totally unimpressed with the Apple 14 lineup, and as far as the Apple 14 plus goes, why would I want to use a small tablet for a phone?
I kept the original iPhone SE for several years, eventually replacing it with a refurb SE when the battery dies, and upgraded to the Mini 12. I'll eventually get a Mini 13 before it goes away completely. I don't want or need a bigger phone.

Pricing boosts sales or busts sales of iPhone’s, the mini would have sold much better if it hadn’t been released at such high price compared to standard iphone an pro, also only producing mini for 2yrs was stupid when most people keep phone 3yrs now because of higher costs and lack of innovation in segment today, Apples problem is they don’t have a visionary or perfectionist running company anymore and it is showing in their products, especially the glitches in software last 3-4yrs, Tim cook is a great logistics guy but the rest he seems to fall short!

The iPhone 14 and 14 plus are probably the worst phones released in a while for apples lineup because both of them are basically the same internally and the iPhone 14 is the same externally too I just don’t think it should exist

I think apple should release the iPhone mini every two years . In its first year, it should be $600, if apple want to be greedy $650.
In the second year it should be $500 then in the third discontinue and release a number mini .
The main reason the mini didn't sell was due to the fact that it was abit expensive.When 12 mini was reduced to $500 it was gone in days .
What apple has to do is to keep the same form factor and material to keep costs down then add some latest tech .

I just bought iPhone 13 mini product red 15 days ago and I am in love with it. Didn't find 15 lineup that interesting and I was already fed up with the size and bulkyness of my old iPhone 11. The only problem apart from short battery life is it's heating issue. I feel that it happened with all my previously bought new iPhones too. All of them used to heat unexpectedly for first couple of weeks. Looks like engine breaking of a new car or a motorcycle, these devices need some time to get acclimatized 😄. Will observe after a month of use. So far I have turned Battery saver mode to always on through siri shortcut and didn't face any issues at all. I have also turned off the battery percentage from the battery icon to reduce range anxiety due to rapidly dropping battery. Everything else is awesome as I expected.
Well, I just bought an iPhone 13 mini in 2023, and I wanted to buy it from the Apple store, well in there alongside the 13 I was really started to get worried I had made the wrong choice, because it seemed ridiculously small next to the 13, but I paid, and while I won't open it yet because I want to put the screen protector on the second I take the paper sticker off the screen, I hope it in an otterbox defender case will remind me of my iPhone 8 in an otterbox case
I have just bought an iPhone 13 mini, yes, I have tiny hands but that wasn’t the reason. I video people’s runs with their dogs at our training club so they can analyse their runs, lots of people and lots of different phones, one phone always stood out and when I eventually asked what iPhone it was it was the iPhone 13 mini, I was impressed enough to buy one.
Just bought a Mini yesterday 1.18.23. Traded in my IPhone 11. My Brother just recently purchased an SE 3rd Generation. He upgraded from a SE 1st Generation. Upon playing with his new SE, it made me miss a smaller phone. I was going to purchase an SE but I knew I would miss some of the features of the 11 like face recognition (the SE only has fingerprint recognition), I didn’t want to go back to the home button (which the SE still has) and the Mini has a better camera than the SE. So, after looking at the Mini, for me, it was a no brainer. IPhone 13 Mini…..small size like the SE but updated features like the 11 I was trading in!
I will absolutely buy a 13 mini, mostly because my 8 plus is slowly dyeing but also because I regret buying a big phone. At the time I bought it because I used to read on my phone but since then I got an iPad and a MacBook so I don't need a big phone anymore.
We just got my dad an iPhone 13 mini for his birthday. Since it has the A-15, the same chip that’s in the base iPhone 14, it made perfect sense because he hates the bigger phones.

Loving your 13 mini content. From the new lineup I see no reason to change from mine, I love the small size and power of this little phone! If they bought out a mini pro, that would be something very special!
Hopefully they bring it back for the 15 and give the pro motion 120hz for their whole line and stop making it a pro exclusive...or at least give the regular iphone lineup 90hz... Like a mini with the three camera setup would be nice too.

My wife has a 14 plus & absolutely loves it over the regular one for screen size when watching Netflix etc. me on the other hand don’t really watch videos that much on a phone & use it mostly for music streaming so would probably be better off with a 13 mini.
I'm a WFH IT support guy and as of yesterday, flogged my 13 pro max in favour of the 13 mini.
I also have the Samsung s23 ultra, which I use as my daily driver.
As my main laptop is the macbook air M2, I didn't want to loose the ecosystem which comes with having an iPhone. I also didn't see the need for having x2 large screen phones, so the 13 mini fits in perfectly into my WFH workflow.
Just bought a new one today. I sold my last one and regretted it ever since so... bought a new one with more memory.
I recently switched from the 13 pro to 13 mini and I'm loving the form factor of this phone. Apple should've have continued the mini series with something more better. I think they will release the new se in this size prolly.
I love love love my 13 mini as I despise large phones (not ergonomic for me to hold all day). I wish Apple can consistently have a mini in their lineup. Wish there’s a 15 mini coming soon.
The problem with large iPhones is that iOS is NOT one hand use friendly.

I really wish it would become the new form factor for the SE line. If the price was lower it would be very popular. It does not need the latest chip or best screen/camera. I got my mini because I needed a phone I could bring outside when I'm running around with little kids. My old phone had been pulling my pants down when running around with it in my shorts pocket.
If you're primarily using the iPhone 13 mini as a _phone_ , then it's actually a very nice device. But given that people use cellphones as an Internet access device a lot nowadays, not so much becuase the display might be a bit too small. That's why the 6.1" form factor of the iPhone 12/13/14 strikes a good compromise because usable size and screen readability.
Couldn’t agree more. This is why I do not unterstand apples decision to drop the mini. I live in Germany and a lot of people have the mini because they use ist as a small mobile phone. Everything which needs a bigger screen is done on tablets, laptops or desktops. So for people which use their phone in this way it’s great. For everyone else there are bigger iPhones. I think the combination of mini, normal size, normal size pro and big size pro is perfect.
Or maybe replace the mini with a mini pro. But I guess there isn’t enough place. 😅
I have iphone 12 pro, but I bought iphone 13 mini, because it is smaller and lighther. Iphone 12 pro is so big that my throusers drop down. Then I have problems with the pockets, because iphone 12 pro is too big. So I changed to smaller and lighter phone, iphone 13 mini.
Replaced my IPhone 8 for the 13 mini, I really don’t need a big smartphone, it makes no sense to me

I bought the iPhone 13 mini having had a large screen phone in the past as a one stop for travelling. However, the smaller phone where the Apple wallet sits neatly on the back is the best for me. It is light and fits in pockets without being noticeable. If I need a larger screen I simply use my Macbook Pro14" or an iPAD.
iPhone 14 plus just seems stupid inho ! Bring back the mini !!!
I love the cute little mini, reminds me of my iPod in high school, Only way more power. Coming from using the 12 pro max (it’s a great device ) but I can say the mini is way more comfortable to hold and the pro max is phonezilla lol.
Thanks for the video and your take on the iPhone 14 pro as well as the iPhone 13 mini. Yes, I‘m in the market for a mini, and especially because I‘m looking for a compact Apple phone, that can replace my SE 1st generation 😀
I‘m not so much into phones, but the 13 mini seems to be a good deal and the last opportunity to get a small but powerful and current phone with years of support by Apple to come.

I will be buying a 13 mini this year, primarily for the size. I’ve used the latest flagships from Apple and Samsung. They’re great. However, until a phone can do everything a laptop can, I really want my phone to be more of a phone. The mini send to satisfy my needs quite nicely without needless expensive fluff.
Apple needs to stop coming out with phones every year. Change it to every 2 years

The reason is: bigger phones are more easy to drop. apple makes more money out of it.
