I’ve been using the 13 mini for 10 months and I’ll be upgrading to the 13 Pro bc while it has been fun rocking the mini, I decided to switch to it due to losing my 13. I miss having a bigger screen for watching videos and playing games, and sometimes even when typing. I feel restricted whenever I wanna get some video editing done or anything that requires precise adjustments. I will miss it definitely but I also can’t wait to move back to a bigger screen. I missed the better sounding speakers too. The mini is quite hard to hear and lacks a lot of low end compared to the bigger models.
i wouldn't say "maintain", rather "how did i lose that much battery capacity in only 17 months?" 😂 actually, it was due to wireless charging and using my phone more often. most importantly, i let it reach below 20% and then charge it back up to 100% as of late. also, i've been recording more videos, so the phone gets warmer, plus going into the summer, it'll be worse.😭 it's small battery could only do so much and the battery health and durability varies from person to person. hope battery technology gets better soon.
13 mini is portability. My advice is just pair it up with Magsafe Battery pack. I am a heavy user, 6-8 hrs usage. But if I have MBP, extended to probably 10-12 hrs. That’s really heavy usage otherwise Iit’ll make it in normal days thats for sure. But the definition of phone for me is portability of basic phone features added with Apple Music or Spotify and thats it. Not much of social media, no gaming, and just enough of UA-cam. I will keep my mini until the next mini or until it wont work at all. PS. During travel days. Definitely bring the battery pack and shift your phone to Low Battery Mode and try to download offline maps before traveling and you’re off to go. Bring your charger and Charge your phone whenever you have a chance when traveling.
Very helpful thanks and I trust you because I too use Bleu de Chanel. I used to live in UK but moved to France many years ago and don't miss the M25 madness at all... I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy A3 which is a great little phone but now lacks the punch and capacity etc for some apps and normal usage. So am thinking of an iphone 13 mini because I HATE large phones!!! Never was an Apple fan until I bought my Mac and now like their stuff a bit so maybe this little mini will do for my needs.
How quickly does your phone die after a day of heavy use? (Watching UA-cam videos, etc.) Around what time would you start your day and what time would your phone die with no charging in between and with brightness in the middle or higher?
it depends. as i have a physical and electronic (eSIM) SIM on my iPhone, the battery life isn't great. bcoz of this, the phone is searching for 2 phone signals constantly and the battery drains somewhat faster, but not only that. here's what i typically do on my iPhone: - take pictures and videos using the LIGHTROOM or BLACKMAGIC CAMERA apps, respectively. - stream music via TIDAL (320 kbps) to my AirPods (Pro) - scroll through social media - respond to e-mails - use iMessage - calls i start at 09:00 and finish at 17:00 (not everyday). my iPhone would be below 30% with brightness set on auto, but i typically override that anyway. 😁 plus, for a few years now i haven't installed the UA-cam app on my iPhones, as it drains the battery quicker than usual (i've experienced this in the past). but, i do have it installed on my iPad Mini, as that's what i use for consuming media and it has a bigger battery anyway (or i'd use my laptop or my projector for films, tv shows...) overall, i just use my devices and charge them whenever needed. everyones use case and habits vary massively. thanks for your question! 👍🏼

I won't be upgrading anytime soon. I hope Apple will give us another mini sometime, but until then I will stick to the 13 mini!
