It's a bit reductive to narrow choice to two brands, with everything that's out there in the android land. I'll personally pick Pixels over either of these any day of the week, as they combine straightforwardness of ios with capabilities of google assistant and other android perks.
Apple. Simply because I've been Android for so long (P8P is my current phone until the one I've ordered arrives), often going apple and back but now I'm older, and I want reliability, and a very good ecosystem to retire into.
Agree 100% I've tried to love my wife's old iPhone when she gave it to me to play with but not having the back button drives me mad........and yes I know it has one but it's not where and when I want it.....plus my OCD kicks in trying to use both OS's lol
That back button and fingerprint scanner are the convenience features that lead me to prefer Android over iphone. I was a full Apple ecosystem punter, but once I tried a Samsung and discovered these features I found it hard to go back to being an iphone user.
That's why i've kept an Android after buying an iPhone 😅. I can't live without Android navigation gestures. Also, you can use them the same way whatever the app. On iOS, you either have to go on the top left or bottom left of your app to go back: it's not INTUITIVE like everybody is saying. That's something i had to get used to. Android is just the best to handle that.
I have a 12 Pro Max and Samsung 24 Plus. I've been an Android advocate for a very long time. I got the 12 Pro Max just for work and FaceTime family and friends with iPhones. One feature I noticed right away that Apple dont have on their phones is clipboard. The clipboard comes in handy when you want to copy and paste anything you wrote like this comment im doing now. And it saves it. Apple users are so oblivious when it comes to features like that. Just like scheduling to send a text message, which now Apple has on the iPhone 16. What I don't like is how Apple called these features "innovative" when Android has had those features for years. Also, the multi-tasking and the split screens you get with Android just blows Apple out the park with userbility. To me, it's always an extra step to do something so simple with iPhones. When you want to turn off your phone, you have to hold two buttons on opposite sides on the iPhone. With Android, you can either hold the volume down button and power button or just easily swipe down your screen and power off that way. That's the power of customization pun intended.
Much prefer one UI, love foldables, the Samsung ecosystem is good, and I use Windows so things like quick share are great. There are some things I like about apple and appreciate why people like them, but for me Samsung phones have always suited me more. As a side I use my laptop to play games. If Macs could actually one day game well I would love to get one. Maybe that would start a slippery ecosystem slope. But only if Apple had a fold...
The answer: If you are an Apple customer, stay with Apple. If you are a Samsung customer, stay with Samsung (or Android). If you are starting anew, stop by a big box store and pick the phones up and see which suits you.
@@Randomdude21-e I don't think you understand what he's saying. The anti-glare/reflection on Samsung is so much better than on the iPhone. It's one of the biggest gaps of quality between the two phones.
Apple always seems to have the edge in video quality. And I say this as a lifelong android user. Detail capture and low light noise control always make IPhone video stand out for me.
I am getting the S24 Ultra tomorrow coming from the iPhone 15PM. After using a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360, I like it more than my iPad M4 Pro. I need a break from Apple and want some fun in my tech again.
Hey i also upgraded from 15 pro max to s24 ultra yesterday! Great decision. Both amazing phones but man, the AI on the s24 ultra is fantastic and the screen ofcourse
My wife uses an iPhone 14 pro max, and i use samsung. I used quite a few iPhones until 2021, i moved to samsung, and i have enjoyed and loved having samsung phones. I had S22 ultra and now S24 ultra, the best phone i have ever had.
I find my s23+ rarely reaches 40w+ since Samsung throttles power delivery at the slightest sign of heat. It starts off at 40-42w but drops to 30-35 shorlty after, and then to 15-20w as it heats up. That's why a 25w charger is only a few minutes longer charging that a 45w charger in tests. Oneplus and other chinese manufacturers are much better for actual fast charging
For Camera Control: If you want to use a button to take photos, you already could with the volume controls. Even with the volume control of Ear Pods, what could make you take photos without others noticing...
Yet another thought provoking vid. Thanks. But is this a fair comparison? The Model release dates are too far out-of-sync imo. How long has the S24 Ultra been available? The fact that your comparison is sooo close means the S25 Ultra will trump (lower case T) the 16 Pro Max? I made the switch from iPhone 14 Pro Max to S23 Ultra and won't ever be going back due to the better screen, battery life, customisable UI (you still haven't mentioned Good Lock!) and Photo AI. You can also buy/create pre-shoot 'screens' for your photo's if you don't like Samsung's as-shipped colour saturations etc. I use the S-Pen for Magic Eraser and other on-device Photo Editing (which incidentally you can't do on AI-less iPhone). The Samsung deals and trade-in's make the Value Proposition even stronger. And lastly, how many Apps on the iPhone/iPad/MacOS are actually Apple? Not many unless you're a Final Cut Pro video editor; suggest WhatsApp, Google Maps, UA-cam, GMail/a.n. other Mail, FaceBook, TT etc. etc. are more Android centric than iOS (try running WA on an iPad). Food for Thought?
Yeah that's the way Samsung and iPhone have been setup for years now. They both get their moment to shine to be considered the best phone, until the other one is released. Anti-reflection/glare on the S24 Ultra is a big advantage over the 16 Pro Max. Dex is also something the iPhone doesn't have anything like.
How’s the shutter lag on the S24 Ultra on moving subjects - eg: kids on the normal camera auto mode? Are the photos blurry? A lot of mixed reviews out there
Shooting moving objects indoors in lower light conditions with an S24 Ultra is asking for disappointment. Here there is a big shutter speed issue. Outdoors in good light, it's shutter speed is as fast as any other mobile device. Why Samsung haven't sorted this yet is baffling?.
i have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra love the screen on the Ultra its that small camera hole the anti-reflection is amazing and the non rounded corners make it a winner. Had a pre-order for the 16 Pro Max and 8 hours later i canceled it even bigger screen on it and can't do split screen on it so whats the point and the rest it's just ah ok but not worth the money
Even as an Android user, I have to say that your comment is so true. I think Android is catching up in some video categories, but catching up always means that you are running second best.
The reason the screen looks better on the Samsung is the anti reflective glass. To replicate this on the iPhone I recommend getting a flolab screen protector.
I don’t understand why reviewers lack common sense. S24 ultra has insane deals going on but still these guys point out the official pricing from Samsung. In my country S24 ultra is about 500 dollars cheaper than 16 pro max right now
You are soooo right! I could NOT have said it better. They act as if the S24U has just come out when the S25U is right around the corner. They do this to justify Apple prices on a new phone that's actually the same phone from last year! LAMO
Two very competent phones, similar pricing, similar specs. If you prefer Android or Apple (or in one ecosystem or the other), that's the decision made for you.
A good reason not to choose for the Iphone is that in Europe we will not have AI very soon, depending on the language. I guess it will be '25 '26. By then we talk about Iphone 17 or even 18. So by now I'm not on a hurry to buy an Apple Phone.
Get both, plus a Sony xperia 1 mk 5. Yes, triple carry, is a thing! 😉 Also, get a Google pixel 3 regular and XL, plus 4 regular and XL, in all the colour options, as a retro carry option! You know, for fancy weekends 😎
I would argue the iPhones do more than what is immediately apparent, though I get what you are saying , I also have a galaxy note that does easy more than than your ultra😊. I was in a car accident out in the country about a month ago , I had my iPhone and my newer android phone , my iPhone did everything I would possibly want in the case of an emergency, it called emergency services with my location with no prompting from me , it also sent multiple texts to the next of kin , again all without being prompted . My newer android phone with all the same of my details , left a button on the screen saying it detected an impact and to press the button to call emergency services. If I was unconscious bleeding out , guess which phone I want with me or with my kids ? The ultra may have an extra camera feature or two , dex which I used for 1.5 years , the SPen , all good features , but for the features that matter , imo iPhones do have the edge for getting more of the basics right . But we all use what works for us , enjoy your galaxy .
I have both as well and now a 16PM and the iPhones are simply better all around, they just do what they are supposed to do, better than the s24U. If you think the iPhone doesn’t do as much as the s24U then you just don’t know your iPhone all that well and should take some time really digging into it, because it really is better than the s24U by a large margin.
@ haha the iPhone 16 does more than the s24ultra? sorry but you are smoking crack. I just switched from the iPhone 15 and I am saying Samsung got it all, they even have dynamic island, they have edge lighting, they have so much features etc that iPhone never will have. so you smoking something lol. I'm glad I made the switch, it feels like freedom because I have full control of my phone compared to iPhone. no regrets
@@robhughes8516it depends, the s24 ultra does more. Thats what it is. But do people need that? No the average doesnt care and miss out on anything. The area where iphone wins is social media, hands down. But in terms of features like AI and camera modes the s24 ultra wins easily
Great video. I do agree that a few apps look more refined on ios. But when it comes to ecosystem Samsung also has other equipment like washing machines, fridges and tv's that are connected and that's just not there on apple. Its not just about the laptop imo.
Not sure I spend more than 5 mins a day with my fridge or washing machine, while I certainly need a computer all day long. Thus, the integration of the latter is much more important to me, and very likely most people. So yeah, it's just about the laptop / desktop computer. More especially so, since the rest of the home can be easily integrated via Home Assistant et al.
The customisation on Android is just unmatched. You can literally do whatever you want, though. Wajt the iphone dynamic island on the samsung you can literally get it
Living in China, I prefer Apple. I was just adding a lengthy comment about Android in China and UA-cam just crashed. 😢 I prefer the Apple ecosystem, hands down
The Samsung ecosystem is unmatched (S-pen, DEX, non-refelctive screens, TVs, T7 SSDs, etc, etc, ...) Apple has few limited products, while Samsung has 100s essential products. But, it's easier to fool than to convince the iFools of their illusion. I wish I had access to Huawei Harmony OS ;)
i have s24 ultra and iphone 15 pro max, i use the 3 weeks one and after i take the other.i feel more comfortable with iphone but i like a lot s24 ultra, it seems a bit snappier too. for the moment i don't feel that i will change them for 3-4 years. by the way, my I14 max have still 100% health battery
Thank you for you video and your answers I hope you to review and test the new nothing ear open and tell us which has more neutral and better sound quality
How is it that we now review phones without talking about how well they pick up a mobile signal, how well they hold on to the mobile signal, and what they sound like when making phone calls!
You didn’t mention split screen to use two apps, where iPhone massive screen is a waste. I have fold 6 and iPhone 15 and love the true multitasking on Samsung. Love both devices and enjoy both world but would agree with most of what you’ve shared, vid recording is best on iPhone and some exclusive apple service that works flawlessly with my mac and iPad, Samsung works pretty good with my Samsung tv and galaxy tab, overall great devices but apple slightly wins it but very, very minimal.
Ive only owned androids mostly samsungs but i ordered my first iphone, the 16 pro max in desert titanium 512GB. Android just feels too boring now, and i just want a phone that works 100% of the time. My samsung has made me late to work 3 times due to android having a bug in the clock where sometimes an alarm doesn't go off. Its been present in android since the beginning. Also im not a fan of the more rectangular sharp edges on the s24 ultra. I currently use a note 9 and refused to upgrade until they did away with hole punches and notches but the 15 pro max with the dynamic island really interested me, now with the apple intelligence and dedicated AI processor so it doesnt need to connect to any servers, the 16 pro max seemed like the clear choice
I love watching these videos, but its becoming so difficult now to fall into one camp or the other. I have had used Samsung phones, since I moved over from the Oneplus 7 pro, I loved that phone, the popup camera was brilliant, someone needs to try it again and give us a full screen with cut-outs. Before that I had pretty much every iPhone. I currently have a Samsung S23ultra and although I normally upgrade yearly, the S24 ultra didn't seem worth it at the time. I still use and iPad and an Apple TV as I still don't think there are better products of the same type. I used to use Macs, but as I worked with Windows I found myself back within that ecosystem, I now hardly every use a laptop or desktop, so don't have a requirement for either. IOS18 is great as it now gives me the Android features that I liked and missed, so although I don't think the iPhone 16 is a huge improvement over the 15, I do like where IOS is going and of course we now have usbC. So, my problem is I prefer the iPad and Apple TV, but I'm really not keen on the Apple watch, I just prefer a round watch, so I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, but of course you cant mix them. My heart is saying I should just stick with Samsung, but I know when the S25 comes out, it will be the same as the previous models with a few minor improvements. My head, just wants to try something new. I have looked into folding phones, but I don't like the thin front display of the Samsung's and although I love the look of the Chinese phones, the Honor V3 looks great, but from comments of have read the support is dire. As I'm writing this I think I'm coming to the conclusion, that for me the Samsung ecosystem with a currently working AI system, similar cameras, less of a notch and a finger print reader (which I still prefer over face unlock), seems to be the best option. Maybe the iPhone17 and Apple Watch 11 will be the way to go, or maybe the the Samsung Galaxy Fold 7, or I could look at the Pixel range. I will probably be having the same debate with myself this time next year though!
I just switched from an 23 Ultra to the 16 PM and I have loved it so far. Price wise btw, in Canada you dont get the storage discount. They do have a 300 dollar off deal going till Oct 20 BUT you have to get the green blue or orange one to get the deal. Ofc in the end I wouldnt say the difference of a couple hundred should be the deciding factor. In the end theyre both great phones it all just depends on what youre using it for and what other devices you might have.
I find iOS to be very sluggish next to a pixel or Samsung. Android is more intuitive to use, eg you can access settings from within the app. I use a pixel with a Mac and it works fine for me as I mainly use third party apps which are better than apples version. Eg Notion and Word and google drive and docs.
@@lowkey3820 iOS is sluggish compared to android because the interface and the animations are tuned slightly slower than the android counterpart It's not slow because it doesn't open apps quickly or things load slowly. Far from that, the interface is just tuned slightly slower In order for android match iOS you have to set the animations to be 0.5x more slower and that is from my experience
Do you think that there are any advantages one way or another for someone who wants to get the best music experience from the phone? I use Apple Music and use it wirelessly and with dongles/wired.
@@MarkEllisReviews Hi Mark. I really enjoy your content and appreciate the response. Yes, I have an Android DAP and use an iPhone 13 Pro Max for my daily phone. I do wish Apple would embrace the higher end codecs, but apparently if it is not their property they are NOT interested. I mean what would it take to license LDAC for example? 4 dollars a phone? Okay, it's just not that big of a deal, but I do like being able to use the higher resolution whether I can hear it or not! ;-)
I clicked on this video out of curiosity. I've been a Samsung phone user even before they made Android phones. I used to carry 2(TWO) Galaxy Note phones daily. Hoover 4 years, for certain reasons I decided to buy the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Since then I have always carried a Galaxy S Ultra phone and an iPhone Pro Max phone. Ergo smart watches. A long time Samsung watch user but 4 years ago bought my first Apple Watch. Which I then used exclusively for the past 3 years. However two months ago I bought the Galaxy watch 6 Classic. So now I switch from one to another from day to day. Or sometimes even within the same day. I'm a "ZEBRA". I'm also an S Pen fan. It is a major reason why I never consider any other brand apart from Samsung as my Android choice.
Have you done a review of the Apple Watch Series 10 and compare with the Apple Ultra Watch please? I have looked and looked and looked but cannot see anything.
Hi Mark, another great review. Being on a rural area with marginal coverage, what phone would be the best for call coverage? We all get caught up in all the features on a phone, as do I, but what is really important for me is making a call. I see you are quite an outdoor person and just wondered if you did a signal comparison? I’ve always been Apple but tempted by the S24 ultra for the s pen for my business, wish Apple would do one. Maybe I am too old to leave Apple 😂. Thanks
There are some nice handsets out there for Android but I'm stuck on the iPhone because I prefer iOS. I also make heavy use of shortcuts scripting so even if I preferred Android I'd be giving up a lot of functionality to use it. Fortunately I love iPhone hardware so it works out, at least for me.
@@bertiewells1 Probably the one I use most is "Morning Routine" that activates when I turn off my alarm clock. Tells me the date, weather, reads my upcoming calendar events for today and tomorrow, then plays the local 10 minute news podcast. I also use one that photographs documents, OCRs them and creates an editable document in the notes app. I also have one for Amazon that pulls up Camel Camel Camel to see what the lowest price was so I know if I should buy or wait for a sale. I have one that is a multi-function for the action button that performs different actions depending on the orientation of the phone (flashlight, silent and still and video camera). One for downloading UA-cam videos etc. There are a bunch of them.
@@bertiewells1 I use a bunch of them. I typed up a short list but UA-cam deleted it. Nice vid, going back to Apple myself from a fold 6 lovely tech but don’t use the inner screen much and not really a multitasker shame tho oh is that a xiaomi band 9 your wearing
I own a Samsung S24 Ultra and a Iphone 13 Pro Max and I really like both designs and I use each of them for different purposes. Myself, I'm more favorable with Samsung because of the customization that Iphone lacks compared to Samsung. The one factor that has not been compared in most reviews comparing these two brands is when it comes to music, since I'm a music person. With Iphone it's far more difficult to have a hard copy of your music, where as with Samsung it's very much more easier to aquire. Also too, when it comes to setting up custom features with your contacts, it's very limited with Iphone. As with Samsung, you can organize your contacts in folder files on your screen. Widget setups with Samsung is so much more refined. As far as the ecosystem goes, be informed that all Samsung appliances and entertainment devices are apart of that ecosystem as well. Apple is very effective in what it offers, but Samsung is too and is more equipped to work with other technologies than Apple and far less expensive for those features.
Great content. You forgot, one thing, and that is multitasking. In which you can't do it on the 16pro max. You might say well I don't really multitask, but you know a lot of people do, even you have you ever used multitasking on your MacBook, apple computer 🤔 bet you did,and still do. Oh, and that thing on the home screen of the s24 ultra is the antiglare coating baked into the screen.
100% S24 Ultra. Many reasons but particularly the os is much more flexible, split screen, S Pen, the ease at getting music and videos on the device, homescreen shortcuts for files and spreadsheets. I could go on and on
I love that Siri is a large language model using the beta 18.1, but the fact that Siri on my HomePod or Apple Watch isn’t Apple Intelligence makes it feel like Siri still doesn’t work right now
I go for the Samsung because I have the S24 Ultra and the tab S9 plus with keyboard. And yes I like Apple for their laptops. I own a Macbook Air 15 inch ( 24/1TB), and am very happy with it. I would like to know how many people use all of the features you can find on these top cellphones.
I am like you, macbook pro but go with S24 plus and S10 ultra tab on order. Got so fed up with how lame the iphone was getting I gradually swapped over bits of my apple ecosystem. Left with Macbook and Apple TV box, and everything works swimmingly for me. I feel I have the best of what I want these gadgets for instead of feeling like I have to have all the same.
I just don't like the iPhone design. The Dynamic Island takes up too much screen space for me to want to use it. Also, I don't agree about the quality of Android apps versus iOS entirely... Yes, there are more variations of certain productivity apps... However, the top productivity apps that have both an Android and iOS version are on par. For example, how many music making apps does one need if there a handful of really reliable apps available? That said, it is very interesting as to how people use their phones. How many people are using their phones to produce high quality music (as opposed to using a decent DAW on a PC or Mac)? How many people - outside Tech users - care about camera apps such as BlackMagic Camera? Who cares about shooting LOG video footage?
Simply put, I prefer Samsung for the extensive customization and the flexibility of android in general. I could give two shits about benchmarks. I tried switching to Apple a few years back and gave up when it took me forever to transfer my data and photos over to the iphone. I can just plug and play with android
I am samsung person! But, i like so much your video and you are so right, everything is what you prefer end will use, so I am agree with you! Enjoy your new phone. ❤
I would actually recommend both personally. I have been daily driving a 13 Pro simultaneously with an S21 as a spare for a couple years now and that has been a lovely (and obviously silly) experience lol
You are correct. I had the S21 Ultra (still use it sometimes to watch UA-cam, browse the internet, etc). I am currently rocking the S24 Ultra for personal use and the iPhone 16 Pro Max for work. Samsung and Apple are pumping out terrific flagship phones. They each have their own advantages over the other, but both undeniably great phones.
I have s23ultra with Verizon. Upgrading from iphone 13 pro max to 16 pro max on my at&t phone. At&t for the Navajo rez. Verizon for off the Navajo rez.
let me tell you why you like theSamsung display more and it feel more immersive, something you forgot Samsung did is the put an anti glare / light reflection coating you can see it even in your video , it’s amazing how they did it and it looks great !! apple fanboy here 😂😂😂
So you can better buy the iPhone 15PM because it’s the same phone without the Camera control button. Personally I like the S24U more but the reason I have the 15PM right now is because of the video recording. I hope the S25 can take better video
Apple fans and Android fans don’t hold a candle to fans of both. I have an S24U and 16PM. Why pick one when I can have both? Have to agree no phone can touch the display on the S24U. It’s so good.
. No touch screen laptop either for me. its literally more effort reaching up. your hands are right there on the pad or mouseWindows sucks sooooo bad. I dread opening my Dell which is maxed out too
Yep. I am a camera guy and I wanted to choose iPhone. But the locked down OS didn't do it to me. Samsung cameras literally looks like a 300$ budget phone. Last option was pixel. The cameras are closest to iPhone and low light, it beats iPhone photos. Gone for the pixel 9 pro XL
The biggest deciding factor really boils down to what people are used to. Yes there will be people switching but when you're used to a device, changing is really hard. I will continue to use android as apple devices are too simple and boring for ME. I like to tinker with my phone and customize it to make it my own, change the icons, use live wallpapers, charge my watch with my phone, install emulators, use the spen, having hands down the better screen. One day, if apple becomes more like android, I'll consider switching.
I have both mobiles, in terms of display iphone is no match to s24 ultra, when I buy a 1000USD mobile, a gap on screen like dynamic island is irritating, moreover 16 pro max is 300 usd more expensive than s24 ultra
Actually, your maths is off. It is 8 months old and was released on the last day of January. So a while before, the S25U comes out, assuming the same release schedule.
Like yourself I’ve tried to get away from Apple. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that, for me at least, Apple is king. Other manufacturers make amazing phones too BUT that Apple ecosystem is just the best.
That is exactly how I feel. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max right now and have bounced between both systems, but it is the ecosystem that wins the day for me as well. Especially the Notes in Apple. If I went to the S24 right now I would have to hassle with the integration of the other system.
@@BrianVallotton the quality of the accessories, like AirPods, are second to none; their transparency mode cannot be touched. Everything is just seamless
The correct take. Android devices always look appealing on a spec sheet but in use even the latest flagships continue to underwhelm in hand. Apple might not have a stylus but the polish and ecosystem are simply on another level. No one has yet matched Apple’s overall user experience, speaking as a reformed Apple hater and Android fanboy.
Agree with you on everything. But not about S-pen. That thing just makes loads ofnthings quite easy and functional on the Ultra + the sheer amount of things that the ultra can pull off - just the dex and split screen feature. It's the Ultra again. You forgot to comment on the anti reflective coating. It's a game changer, if you use your phone outside.
Just buy a screenprotector if you like it.
@@Randomdude21-e it's not a screen protector
@@rafabesouchet i know its not but you can just get one for other phones if you want it..
@@Randomdude21-e just like you can buy a professional microfone, and plug into your S24 Ultra. You don't need Apple's studio microphone.
@@Randomdude21-e I don't think you understand what he's saying. The anti-glare/reflection on Samsung is so much better than on the iPhone. It's one of the biggest gaps of quality between the two phones.
I would pick Apple - but ONLY because video recording is my priority. In most other ways Samsung wins.
Apple always seems to have the edge in video quality. And I say this as a lifelong android user. Detail capture and low light noise control always make IPhone video stand out for me.
Buying either of these, or the Pixel 9 Pro XL, you will be really happy. The differences are now minuscule and pretty meaningless.
Right!
My wife uses an iPhone 14 pro max, and i use samsung. I used quite a few iPhones until 2021, i moved to samsung, and i have enjoyed and loved having samsung phones. I had S22 ultra and now S24 ultra, the best phone i have ever had.
Apple doesn't have split screen feature, has only 8GB ram, only 30w and slow charging.
Using the S24 Ultra is something else that iphone users can't understand. I also expect my 16PM soon by GOD'S grace.
Videos taken on the 16 Pro Max are fantastic.
It's also a battle between Titanium Orange and Dessert Titanium! New subscriber here from the Philippines. Keep the good reviews coming!
I have 15 Pro and the S24 Ultra, the Ultra is a much better device overall. It does way more, including those awesome green text message bubbles.
@@robhughes8516large margin?
😢 I prefer the Apple ecosystem, hands down
Wouldn't an Honor or Xiaomi device work better in China than iPhone? You probably won't even get Apple Intelligence right?
@@ThePCForever True, no Apple AI in China, but Android is also stripped down since most Google apps don’t work
@@seanarmstrong8460heard you can work your way around that and it's ultimately a non issue.

How is it that we now review phones without talking about how well they pick up a mobile signal, how well they hold on to the mobile signal, and what they sound like when making phone calls!
Because they've worked perfectly in that regard for decades. And I'd love my audience to stay awake for as long as possible.
@@MarkEllisReviews Fair enough…especially the staying awake part! Great video, by the way.
Great review Mark and now my only decision is iPhone 16 pro or 16 pro max! What gear are you using for filming ( camera and mike?
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Great to hear!
The price thing is a bit off as you can have amazing deals for a Samsung phone even after just a few months after it was released.
That was the point I made!
Samsung usually run random promotions though out the year too. I’ve seen the s24 ultra as low as £850. They didn’t last long though
Eg Notion and Word and google drive and docs.
iOS sluggish is wild you must of been using one of those 60hz iPhones.
@@lowkey3820 iOS is sluggish compared to android because the interface and the animations are tuned slightly slower than the android counterpart
It's not slow because it doesn't open apps quickly or things load slowly. Far from that, the interface is just tuned slightly slower
In order for android match iOS you have to set the animations to be 0.5x more slower and that is from my experience
I’ve actually never heard that before until today. Right now. iOS…Sluggish? Alright. I guess it’s possible.
@@ifrankenstein7455 If you turn "Reduce Motion" on in the iPhone settings, it feels as snappy as Android with animations set to zero.

The rounded corners, the notch in the screen, and the raised clear square around the cameras are not good design imo
Do you think that there are any advantages one way or another for someone who wants to get the best music experience from the phone? I use Apple Music and use it wirelessly and with dongles/wired.
Android, arguably, due to the audio codecs it supports out of the box.
What smartband are you wearing with the purple band?
Thanks!
Have you done a review of the Apple Watch Series 10 and compare with the Apple Ultra Watch please? I have looked and looked and looked but cannot see anything.
My Series 10 review is coming soon!

What are the shortcuts you use most?

Nice vid, going back to Apple myself from a fold 6 lovely tech but don’t use the inner screen much and not really a multitasker shame tho oh is that a xiaomi band 9 your wearing
Indeed it is!
Very informative very informative❤❤❤ unique comparison❤❤

MagSafe is a huge one for me.
Very true most already know which one they want but we enjoy the battle.
S24 ultra with the great screen i can use in full sunlight, The anti glare is a big plus but do not use a screen protector.
"Apple Intelligence" or "Artificial Intelligence" ... ha ha ha ... hilarious! :)
Samsung has all the smart appliances and a much larger ecosystem...
100% S24 Ultra. Many reasons but particularly the os is much more flexible, split screen, S Pen, the ease at getting music and videos on the device, homescreen shortcuts for files and spreadsheets. I could go on and on
Best thing about S24 Ultra. The anti-glare and hijacking any unsecured Samsung Smart TVs in your area. lol
I use Windows. I love the freedom I have with Android/Samsung. I love my S24 Ultra.
I feel blessed by God. I bought my S24 Ultra 256GB yellow version today. I hope to have it for about two years until the S26 Ultra is released.
I know which one I prefer, and I know which one is on its way to me thanks to your video! And also in the same colour you have! But which is it? 😅
Certainly both great products but I stay on Apple because of the software and whole ecosystem.

My s24u is the 512 its good on storage but i think in the future ima upgrade to 1TB
i want a phone that is iPhone build quality, iphone video quality, pixel quality photos, and galaxy level features ..... that runs android
I have both mobiles, in terms of display iphone is no match to s24 ultra, when I buy a 1000USD mobile, a gap on screen like dynamic island is irritating, moreover 16 pro max is 300 usd more expensive than s24 ultra
The 24 ultra is almost 10 months old.The 16 is one week.I think the 25 ultra when it comes out would be a better comparison
Plenty of people seem to be interested in this comparison, mate!
