- Hello everyone! Here is a video of how I style my chunky loose twists as a short or long term protective style.As part of my routine i always put my hair in some kind of twists after wash day to air dry. I usually keep my twists in from anything between a fews days to a month and it helps to protect my hair from over manipulation , retain length, moisture and essentially help my hair grow longer. As a lazy natural, this is perfect as i don't always have the time to do my hair but with these styles I can still slay regardless OK! LOL

Hi all here's a video on how I style my twists as a protective style for the week. Please note that apart from style 1, I keep each style from 1 week to 4 weeks and no i Don't restyle everyday (nobody got time for that) 😭
I then moisturise each night before bed with water or my Fenugreek and Bay leaf hair spray without taking them down. Sometimes I might add an oil as in my lazy mid-week moisture routine video - ua-cam.com/video/stQgRm_ytSg/v-deo.html . But only take twists down when ready for another style or wash day

Great styles. My 4c is quite fluffy and short so it would make my head small. But I'll try flat twists and when my 4c hair is a lil bit longer, I'll definitely try this.

You do not seem to have frizzy hair, do you refresh or put moisture back in your twists mid-week?
Thank you. I spray at night with water or my DIY Fenugreek and Bay leaf hair spray then tie it with a headscarf till morning . That tames the frizz

Hi, can I ask how do you get the Fenegreek not to have that strong curry/maple syrup odour? It really puts me off using it regularly
I don’t t mind the odour. You might have to omit it if you really can’t stand it or just add your favourite essential oils

Do you take the style down every night and redo them in the morning or leave it in for the time period you want to wear the specific style for?
No the only style I change is the first one. The others I keep for 1-4 weeks and moisturise each night before bed with water or my Fenugreek and Bay leaf hair spray without taking them down.
Love that you minimize hair pins. Hair pins break my hair.
Yeah I try not to use too many cos I sometimes leave these styles in for longer and the pins would just be pulling at my scalp 👎🏾
Do you spray your hair every night with water and if so would you say that has helped with moisture which leads to the length retention of your hair?
Yes I do and absolutely. That's how I keep my protective styles moisturised and neat
