This is all I have done for the last two and a half years of my journey! It's so easy and definitely helps to retain length. I stopped relaxing in 2020, put my hair in braids while I grew it out, and when it got enough length to manage, I cut off the relaxed ends and did this style straight through. The only difference is, I do a side part, and have 8 smaller twists in front as a side bang, and 6 to 8 chunky ones throughout the rest of my head. I also retwist every week. When I have an event, I loose the twists in the back for a half up half down twist out. After the event, I put the chunky twists right back in. I have 4c high porosity hair with super fine strands, and I've been able to grow my hair to 18 inches (some areas 19, some 17) in 4 years with dusting trims! Chunky twists really work as a protective style! (Hope this helps someone)
can you show the way you do twist with the side bang
@Brandiisbeloved I do it very similarly to this youtuber, If She So Pleases, in this video:- ua-cam.com/video/pHEBJ37KqBc/v-deo.htmlsi=CNAbbAbzjQS3vxDe
She gives a very detailed mini twist technique with a lot of hacks and tips to make it more versatile. I part my hair the way she does in the thumbnail, but I usually curl the ends of my bang twists by putting 2 small bantu knots on the ends, 4 twists each, overnight. I loose it in the morning and the curl lasts whole day.
I do prefer chunky/ slightly large twist than small/ mini twist. 😊
Sometimes I do as well! Especially if I’m on a time crunch. :)
Love your hair. I’m going to do chunky twists. I have grown my hair doing twists. Best protective hairstyle.
This is one of my favorite styles! Perfect 😍
I love this. I am definitely trying it.
I love the way you explain the parting. That’s the part that always makes me hesitant to do twists. Thank you! ❤
You're so welcome!! Glad it was helpful :)
Love it 😍 ❤
The best parting technique for long hair like mine. I will try it thanks for sharing😍
Of course! Thank you for watching!
1:52 I “smole” a whole smile to see your beautiful results. I don’t understand why I stopped wearing my mini twists but you are helping my resolve to resume this, easily one of the most perfect ways to style a gorgeous, luscious mane. Thanks for sharing your success with us! ❤
That’s so sweet of you! Thank you so much :)
Nice 😊
I want to do those but yoh I have 2 inches of hair
Hello 👋. Love your videos ❤ I am new to twisting. I really like twists. Do you ever moisturize your hair while in twists or do you always take your twists out to moisturize your hair? Thanks in advance ☺️
Thank you so much! 💕 I do both actually but mostly I’ll moisturize while in twists. I have a short on my channel of me moisturizing my hair when in this style. Hope that helps! xx
Thanks for the video... For the blend oil you use on scalp....You added all the mentioned oils together or you got there powder form and mix them?
Mixed the oils together!
How long do you normally keep it like that? Nice video 🎉
Thank you! Usually about a week!
@@faithpelerin ok thanks🎉
Nice video and hair style.❤ Are you low porosity?
Thank you! High porosity actually!
How long to you leave these in for before having to redo them ?
@@crystalc9937Usually a week or week and a half!
How do you take care of it and how long do you keep it in.
Hi! Usually I leave this style in for a week. I have a Short on my channel of how I moisturize them! 💕
Your twists look so cute & juicy 😍😍. Tfs.
