- Guiding Light January 24th 2007 Blink of an Eye Inside The Light episode that ends with Tammy Winslow-Randall's death.
Tammy wakes up and urges Jonathan to get Sarah away from Lizzie and Alan. Jonathan and Reva leave on a mission to bring Sarah to Tammy. Alan refuses to let Reva take Sarah to Tammy, so Jonathan kidnaps Lizzie until Alan hands Sarah over. Lizzie threatens to sue for custody, and Jonathan turns dangerous. Beth arrives with Sarah and hands her to Jonathan. She asks that he promise not to cut Lizzie out of her life. Cassie tells Tammy about the house she bought for her and Jonathan, and Tammy asks that Cassie look after Jonathan if she can't have her happy ending. Tammy fades in and out of consciousness, whispering Jonathan's name. Jonathan brings Sarah to Tammy and realizes how weak Tammy has become. Outside, he breaks in Cassie's arms, saying that she was right to think Jonathan was wrong for Tammy. Cassie comforts him and tells him that Tammy was lucky to find love. Jonathan, in denial, tries to stop Father Ray from performing Last Rites, then begs for him to ask God to save Tammy. At Tammy's bedside, he begs for her not to leave him. Jonathan continues his plea to Tammy, wondering who will keep him good if she goes. He kisses her as she reminds him that he has Sarah now, and Tammy slips away as everyone reacts to the heartbreaking loss.

Blame Les Moonves. I mean, he cancelled GL and ATWT. Plus, he ruined a once great NFL pregame show in The NFL Today by adding some unfunny and worthless comedy and sensationalism to it to compete against Fox and ESPN (Meltdown of the Year, Unknown T.E. Speaks, Tiki in Canton, mocking Tim Tebow and flirting with Candice Swanepoel, anyone?). With that being said, f*** you Les Moonves for ruining CBS. And also, f*** you, Sean McManus for allowing that (Les Moonves ruining CBS) to happen. Period.

Just cam e across this again. This scene made me cry some 5+ years later. Tom Pelphrey was robbed of a daytime Emmy for this. I don't even remember if he was nominated but do know he didn't win.

It got stupid towards the end filming outside and it just had no more ideas except always getting reva and Josh back together over and over again

They announced it was canceled on April 1st. My husband told me and I kept insisting he was pulling an April fools on me. I remember I was devastated!
This scene bought tears to my eyes. Every girl wants a caring man like Jonathan. I loved Tammie and Jonathan together. They were my favorite couple on Guiding Light around 2005-2007. This takes me back to my elementary school days and my middle school days. Jonathon played that role.

I swear I have always loved Guiding Light since falling for Roger(Michael Zaslow) and Holly (Maureen Garrett), but when Tom Pelphrey joined Guiding Light, there was so much energy in the show and excitement that I had not seen in a long time. Guiding Light exploded! Anyone that had a scene with Tom shined along with him! Kim Zimmer and Stephanie Gatschet were amazing with Tom. I have seen these scenes so many times and still cry. Thank you for sharing.

😢 sympathy greetings from coastal Mississippi. I watched Guiding Light from 1990 to series end . I cried when Tammy died, to this day it still gets to me. Even though I miss the Light House, it will always live in my heart. Forever Springfield Illinois ❤

I liked Tammy. I prefered him with Lizzie or someone else but I did really like Tammy. I didn't think that they should have killed her off. This scene is still beautiful. Jonathan's wails of grief are heartbreaking. And Reva cradling Cassie was so sad.

Tammy dying and Cassie feeling devastated and taking it hard; We were the same way when my eldest brother was hit by a drunk driver back in 2013. He was 35, was a gulfstream mechanic. We went into our dark places and thought of drastic things, but we moved on.
Tammy and Jonathon make a great couple

just posting on a soap board on fb today and we were all gushing almost10 yrs later on Jonathan long hair rugged self sexy and his sweet adorbs tam, and the baby scene killing me tonight watching this again and i miss both so much. -12:47 til the end i feel so so cried out. i just do. Even 9 yrs later. i am so devastated still .and also

1 of daytime all time classic soap scenes/couple of all time. that is how i feel anyhow. getting chills just looking at part 1 through three. they were such a real type of couple,the 2 truly were. i miss them, but glad i got their story on here still to sigh ... *tears*
