Josh tries to help Jonathan let go of Tammy's body, so that Cassie can say goodbye. Jonathan leaves on a mission, while Cassie immediately begins to focus on all the arrangements that need to be made. Jonathan is determined to make Alan pay even if he knows it's not what Tammy would want. As Cassie decides to bury Tammy in her wedding dress she finally breaks down. Jonathan confronts Alan, screaming "Murderer" as he's dragged away. Jonathan pours gasoline all over the Spaulding dining room and sets it on fire.
And this is why Tom Pelphrey is a two time Emmy winner.

This absolutely breaks my heart. And what I love so much is how Jonathan is on the brink of collapse and Josh picks him up and cradles him. I really loved how Jonathan and Josh became much closer like a father and son.
I could do without this Cassie though. I think if Laura had played the role, her grief would have much more realistic. That's the acting chops that Madam Laura Wright has. This woman, who is absolutely lovely, just doesn't cut it as a grieving mother.
I would love to have heard Laura Wright sobbing loudly
Tom Pelphrey is amazing! I see these scenes and cry along with him. Best actor of all time! Miss Jonathan,Tammy, Reva, Josh and most of all Guiging Light my all time favorite Soap Opera!!!

sigh. i ache right now literally trying not 2 keep on trying, his overall look is so realistic,the crying and the song was perfect. i love them so much
i just can't believe 9 to 10 yrs later how incredible REAL his "voice is/the cries/the yellin/the sweet talk to "BREATHE TAMI... Breathe.to again wanting to climb on top of her and go "with her in part 3. i am still sad... i am so sad again. sigh ... i am done too many tears again
Justine IKR.@2:08 always makes mi corazon hurt siempre.(always) @8:28 cassie made me cry seeing her expression and joshua talking to her to where we see Jon after that. so so tragic. He well-deserved won an emmy. Some men are meant for stardom/soaps/drama and this is Tom/Jonathan. Never tired of watching him and tam.

I feel same way, BMWRed. I wish both will be on another soap. The soaps today still on are not like this. Hope and Liam on bold and the beautiful were. in alot of ways. I hope hope logan return back to bold.
Yea CBS recent couple Liam and Steffy can't compare to Hope and Liam, you're right. The 2 of them remind me of liam with hope. I think they were perfect. Just like tammy with her soulmate on here, husband jon . . .
Jonathan really did see Joshua as his father figure. The other actors must have been so blown away by Tom Pelphrey acting!
I agree, I did not like this Cassie, from the very first scene she just never fit in with the rest of the characters. Laura Wright was fantastic as Cassie and I wish in these scenes she was playing the part.

gl i hate you forever for killing tammy and for not correcting that mistake . the actors would of been willing to come back at some point but gl kept being stupid and not resigning them to play out the next chapter in jammy. hello its a soap, no one is ever really dead. the final months of the show would of been perfect for that. olivia and natatlia plus jonathan and tammy would of be amazing.
why?! gl made some of the dumbest blunders. that is what lead to their down fall.

I can't be the only slightly, scratch that, completely disturbed by the fact that one of this shows biggest love story was celebrating incest right! I mean not only where they cousin's they were also adoptive brother and sister. I mean I still somehow look back on the story with Fondness, kind of like how I choose to forget that Luke initially raped Laura, but still first cousins marrying, that's illegal right?!?!
ajitter89 they were only half cousins but still I mean it is a beautiful story and you cannot deny the chemistry between the two actors and the presents that they brought on the screen that turned into an off-screen love wow
Ok, and Tammy's stepfather was married to her aunt, before her mother. The whole cast is related lol. James & Daisy/Susan are step-siblings, who actually lived in the same house, as children. There's a level of, "creepiness," to Tammy & Jonathan being legally married, yeah, but remember, Jonathan is the long lost son, of Cassie's long lost sister. They didn't grow up together, the way James & Susan did. Also, once they realized they were related, of course, they made no plans to have biological children, together, which is why Sarah was so special to Tammy.
Tom Pelphrey is fantastic. And i love that Josh really cared about him right here as he was so totally heartbroken over Tammy. Has Tom been in anything else since?

No ever reallygot into GH, was always into the soaps on CBS. Tom was in ATWT for a short time. It was a time where once GL ended I was not watching anymore soaps. Tried to get into ATWT when Tom was there, but had a hard time with work and life that I couldn't find the time.Yea he will always be Jonathan in my eyes. For some reason GL was really getting boring and than Jonathan Randal rode into town and brought excitement back into our lives!

i love seeing hearing a man cry. a real man is not afraid to. some hide it. i can't be with a man who would be afraid to let the tears fall. this give me such a aching feeling. i miss them soooooooooooooooooo much. more soaps need this real type of real life acting. so good but yet so sad.brilliant acting.

This soap was horribly destroyed during this era! I can’t believe what they did to this soap no wonder it was cancelled.Ellen Wheeler should never,ever be allowed to get behind a camera for the rest of her life!Thank god we still have some 70’s and 80’s episodes to view here.

Laura Wright was the first Cassie and to me the only Cassie she is so talented and this lady Im sure is good too but Cassie became such a whimp with her playing the role.

Back in 2006 I had bad car accident and watched this and when I heard the song it broke me! I started researching it finally got ahold of someone at the network after many emails his name is Brian D Siewert he composes music for soaps and other TV shows the lady ended up sending me an MP3 of it a long time ago an uncut version I listened to it over and over and all of a sudden last night had a dream of my wreck and landed me looking for clips of the show that got me through a tragic time where I almost lost my own life! Still love the song but there is a song similar called Bloodstream stateless

Such sad moments. They had happiness for such short time and it slipped right through their fingers. I wonder how reversed things would've been if Jonathan had been hit in Tammy's place. Hate tammy died some people say that lizzie and jonathan should be together I disagree I feel like they are toxic that relationship was based on a bunch of lies and manipulation from the beginning and lizzie didn't care about her baby using to trap a man she already knew was in love with someone else I think they where better off as friends ok yes maybe jonathan cared and understood her because of her family situation they had that in common but I feel tammy and jonathan was the health choice for the baby at this time lizzie was selfish but I'm glad she eventually grew up and put her daughter first and had her own lovestory with Bill but I felt that she got little taste of what she put tammy through they was better as friends but I wish they brought Stephanie back as a new character new love interest for jonathan in the end where she shared a resembles with tammy they did with Richard/Jeffrey why not tammy I would loved it
