Technically Ky would have been able to Identify what spell was cast on the Desk as identify also can tell you any spells effecting a creature or object, and if it was created via a spell. Its something nobody remembers cause everyone only explains it to their friends as “Learn what magic item do”
This is why knowing how you're spells work is important.
Small stuff like that can add up to challenges later on.

Man, this was a fun little dungeon crawl. It seems some of my theories are correct but its still a bit to early to really tell what our "yellow" dragon is doing right now.

Only when you reach level 15 you can use each Rune twice.
Moral of the story when you have a crowd of enemies clustered together, and a chokepoint always use fireball you have absolutely no reason not to if you have it available use one resource save several

Alright, Bosco, time to make Ky OP. Shadow Blade is a dagger, right? So, if it has the light property, after you summon it, you can Bonus Action swing leaving you your main Action to spell cast.
It's a bonus action to cast and it's technically a sword so it's a. Action to attack with it
@@jessenielsen7218 It takes a bonus action to summon it on the turn you cast the spell. After that, you're holding a light weapon. It's got the finesse, thrown and light properties.
Because of the light properity, it can be swung as a bonus action, similar to a dagger. So, that free's use Bosco's main action to cast a spell in the same turn.
@@darktanuki2207I think you're mistaking something. You don't get to attack with a bonus action regardless of weapon attack unless the weapon specifically states it, you have a special ability or spell active, or if you have already attacked with another weapon in your main hand. None of those properties give you the ability to attack as a bonus action on their own.
If I'm mistaken, please give the exact page where this ability is given in the books as proof, because I have NEVER heard of this rule before.
@@Antelieris1 This is where Properties come into play and is VERY important in 5e. It hides the rules in plain sight and isn't good on enforcing working around them while still keeping consistancy. Page 195 of the PHB explains Two-Weapon Fighting. Personally, I'm not talking about this style but it goes into Properties somewhat. It says that if you attack with a light melee weapon then you can bonus action off-hand with another light melee weapon...or throw it if it has the Thrown Property. You just don't get modifier in damage unless you have Martial Arts or some sorta special power or item or whatever.
Now, I know what you're thinking. It CLEARLY says you HAVE to use your action to then bonus action attack, even if both weapons are light. But that's the trap of 5e. It doesn't say that in the way you're thinking. What it's telling you is that IF you use your main action to attack, you can use your bonus action to attack TOO as an off-hand. You aren't forced to use one Light Property weapon over the other in a specific way.
You honestly CAN use your bonus action off-hand swing FIRST and then use your main action to swing. Or throw. Or....cast a spell as your main action. Action economy in 5e isn't locked or else bonus action abilities would be defunked if you weren't able to use them first because classes have a lot of bonus action abilities. Heck, there are bonus action SPELLS too.
Knowing this, Ky can summon Shadow Blade, a bonus action spell, on one turn and swing with his main action. Then on the SECOND turn, he can bonus action swing with his 2d8 psychic damage dagger as an off-hand and then use his main action to cast a spell. That's not breaking the action economy.
It's not different than using a bonus action to swing a dagger or throw a dart and then using your main action to go for a grapple check with your main action.
Two-Weapon Fighting is written like it's meant for a specific style of play anyway instead of the concrete rules of melee combat.
@@darktanuki2207 No, sorry, that's not how it works. Specific wording:
"When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you’re holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you’re holding in the other hand. You don’t add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative."
By the stated properties, you MUST make an attack action to attack with a light melee weapon to be allowed to attack with the other weapon. You don't get to cast a spell because casting a spell is not an attack action to attack with a light melee weapon. It's an attack action to attack with a spell. A melee attack and a spell attack are two different things, and thus you CANNOT cast a spell and then make a melee attack as a bonus action unless you have a feat or the like that allows this. Both the action AND the bonus action REQUIRE a melee weapon attack.
Homebrew, that sounds like a cool idea, but neither RAW or RAI support your claims.

Just catching up but i gotta say; even though Zito tends to reference Gais as a grappler, Ive always thought of him as a Stance-fighter, when he burns meter on a weapon(Stance)-swap he would instead enter Giants Might, and his specials would have additional effects assigned based on which rune is tied to a given super... Also i see him in a Guilty Gead style game, his jumps and charging ram-attacks scream that he is a secondary rushdown.
Id add more, but i feel this is too long already; maybe some other vid.
I’m worried about the dragon in the other room we should save resources also I won’t use my single greatest attack for a cluster of enemies that uses one resource. Instead, I’ll use multiple resources and longer battle.

I worked in a museum gift shop and had a customer lick some once. She said she was a teacher. I was doing my spiel about it not being real. She said she knew and told her students it's harmless or something like that. Then she licked it to demonstrate its harmlessness. It was still dirty, and lots of people touched it. They mentioned possibly casting dispel magic on the desk, so they might have been saving the spell slots.
@@asheronwindspear552 1 fireball saves ~3 other spell slots, lots of potential damage taken, and a ton of class resources spent on the fight. And they have a teleportation circle in this vault, they can come back any time they want. I can forgive Isqan for not shredding them with Spike Growth, because that's a very situational spell, but Fireball is almost explicitly designed for situations like this!

With how Ky treats people it feels like Bosco can't do a character it isn't some kind of a dick. Remy was a douche and threatening characters he really shouldn't be (Tiengo and Flor), Bryant was a asshole who admits he needs therapy but will get pissed off if you suggest it. Ky is basically Bosco trying to piss as many people in power off as possible to try and get himself killed so he can make a new fighter.
