- Our latest furniture flipping project turned $45 into $325 in less than 72 hours! Watch as we refinish and flip an old wrought iron patio set that we purchased from an estate sale, earning a profit of $250.
We purchased a similar set in 1999 and just painted it for the second time. Originally a green color and now is black. I don't think we will ever get rid of it. Your paint color is wonderful and so glad it found a happy home.
Thanks for watching Pepper! The patio set sold super fast, the new owners were so excited to get it. We hope to have more furniture flipping videos out later on this year.
Loved that color!
Looks fabulous !!
Thanks! It was hard to part with it after it came out looking so nice! 😆
That turned out so well. Great job guys 🙌
Thanks so much !
Hello!!! I do this all the time here in Mississippi and it is a pretty lucrative side hustle!! Thanks for the vid!!!
Hey Eric, thanks for watching. Yes, it’s a great way to make some money on the side. We are working on a few more furniture flipping projects this summer so keep an eye out for that video to drop.
Take care and keep on flipping
Love the color! Its up my alley. Im hoping to find something like to flip and keep for my patio! Haha Im moving into my new home in a couple months and want to flip most of the furniture.
Thanks Kelly! Good luck with the move into the new home and have fun making it your own!
Do you have to put a sealer so it doesn't rust??
Hi Angela. We didn’t use a sealer, we just made sure the rust was gone and the metal was dry when we painted it. Maybe we will have to try a sealer on our next project and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for watching! Take care.
I began painting mine standing it upside down first. Nice job though.
Yes! That's a great idea!
Did you sand by hand or sander?
We prepped the surface with a combination of wire brushes and sanding blocks. Thanks for watching
I would have liked if you had shared what you did
I sanded the table and chairs down real good after cleaning it, then painted with spray paint and finished with a protective clear coat.
How many cans of paint did you use?
Hi there Jatrine. It was about 7 cans for the table and four chairs. So, about $40 in paint. I actually meant to include that in the video and totally forgot! Thanks for asking!
So add another $50 at least for paint. Just spent that for same project and not halfway done
@@rlgman are you refinishing a white or black table? I have found that the black ones can take more paint sometimes, especially when re-painting with lighter colors.
@@AtomicPickers white on previous white. 5 bucks a can. 7 a cam for rust reformer. Didn't get primer yet. 4 chairs and table wrought iron
@@AtomicPickers Thank you so much! :-)
No primer?
Hi Ken, the spray paint we used was both primer and paint.
@@AtomicPickers even though the paint can says no primer needed or primer included. For longevity and a quality piece finish, it’s nearly always best to use a metal kill rust primer on repainting.

Thanks for watching! The new owners were very happy with the way the set turned out.
@@kyliemunday They already got paid, they don't care if the paint peels off in a few months.
Not wrought iron lol.
The cost of the table and chairs was $45, but you didn't include the cost of the paint when you calculated your profit. So, $50 in paint means your cost was $95. It's still a nice profit.
Hi Alisa, yes the paint ran about $45 for the project. Sorry if we didn’t include that in the video. Thanks for watching!
Talk about polluting our environment!! Yowzwrs! Look at that paint fly into the air we breathe!! 😔
Bless your heart
Did you sand by hand or sander?
This time I sanded by hand. But I do have a sander I'll use on some projects.
