In this video I’ll pick a full stock portfolio for 2024 in a single session, starting from scratch. You’ll get to see the full step-by-step process. All the nitty-gritty details. At the end of the video, I’ll invest $3,000 of my own money in this portfolio. I’ll keep the stocks for 12 months and repeat this process next year. If you like this format, I’ll do another video for 2025, where we do a follow-up on the performance. The idea is that you should get inspiration for your own investment process and that maybe you’ll even find a company that you like here.

did you set the insiderscreener market cap too low? 30m- 1000m only. may be thats why all the big cap last 12 months insiders buys don't appear and skew the selections?
Also, you set total revenue for 2006 and not 2016, is that intentional or a mistake?
I have a small question: Why didn't you put the net debt in the tikr screener? It would save you ton of checks :)

One thing I really enjoyed about this video, is that with your screener, you were able to narrow it down to only 10 companies… and of those 10, I actually just added 2 to my watch list (just days before watching your video). Great video! Perhaps you could do deep dives for each of the company one video at the time. That way we can absorb over weeks and monsth.
Thanks! This was helpful in understanding some of the tools to use to filter. That's my biggest challenge. Figuring out the right pond to swim in. Now, if there was an easy way to analyze investor presentations, annual reports, etc and all of the qualitative data.

This was fabulous and very helpful for those of us who are developing a portfolio for the first time.
Develop knowledge first before setting up any type of portfolio. For example do you understand the underlying nature of a business so as to be able to value that business.

I do observe how the speedy approach filters out some opportunities that probably would warrant a second look anyway (pretty much all cyclical commodity resource businesses are out, no matter how attractive their valuation or how solid a track record they've got -- it's simply the nature of their industry that it's cyclical. E.g. the lithium/chemicals producer Albemarle).

I'll check out your paid content but am not sure if it's a fit for me as I still stick mostly to US stocks. Maybe I could use your research to expand my international circle of competence. @TheSwedishInvestor After you paste the numbers in Excel, just select all the data, right click, and select Format Cells. Set the data to General and it will do what you where doing removing the $ and , I hope that helps! Thanks for all of your videos. They are awesome and informative.
Finally a video that shows fundamental analysis in action. I'm more so on the technical side (my circle of competence) but use quant screens to sort out the weak companies so this is golden content. I have one question. Why do you want to see a 10 year upside when you're staying invested for 1 year before moving on the new companies? Wouldn't like 3-5 years be sufficient?
After so many general principles and theories it was really nice to see a specific screening process in action. It's easy to imagine you could add a lot more, like you do for your main portfolio, but I was also surprised how much got done in 10 hours. If any of them pay dividends what will the policy be? To reinvest in the company? I'd be very interested to see the follow-up in a year about how the picks did, and maybe even to keep tabs on them for another year after that to see if holding them could be better than the magic formula style sell after 1 year strategy.
