    Warren Buffett’s 25 Most Important Investments Ever (RANKED): ua-cam.com/video/jMuX_-hE7SQ/v-deo.html
    WARNING: There's been a lot of spam on the channel lately by UA-cam accounts trying to impersonate me and recommending scam investment managers. They have the same name as me and use the same logo. The purpose of this channel is to help people learn how to handle their own finances and their own investments. You should know that I would NEVER recommend that you put up your money with any of these managers. If I decide to promote something on this channel, it sure won't be any expensive money managers or bitcoin/trading scammers. Also, the promotion will happen in the video itself, not in the comment section. I bet that most of you see through these fakes, but if you ever feel uncertain you can tell the difference between my account and that of a scammer's by observing the name of the commenter. If the name is highlighted, it is my own comment. If the name is not highlighted, BEWARE! I encourage you to report the impersonator so that no one else is tricked into wasting their hard-earned money with them. You can help your fellow investors out here, as UA-cam removes fake-accounts quicker when multiple people report their suspicious activities. Thank you!

      I personally don't look at the number, I will adjust my lifestyle to live rich no matter what the number is. Warren's lifestyle is such that he probably could live on $50K a year, so a million is still a lot of money.

Now in his 90’s, death is at the doorstep. He will soon learn that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Then he will have regrets.

    Great video. But I always wonder - yes, you can try to emulate what young Warren did, but how much of that worked simply because it was mid-20th century? How much would no longer work here in 2020? Talking about stocks specifically, you're competing against AI and HFT - young Warren didn't have to do that. I agree that his personality traits are very helpful as an investor.

      You're 100% right. Buffett has trailed the S&P 500 for nearly two decades now. And think about all the time and energy he has spent, just in order to underperform the index. Such a waste. (EDIT: Matthew Hook pointed out that this statement is not correct, Buffett has in fact beaten the index over two decades by a healthy margin. However, he has trailed it for the last ten. A lot depends on exactly where you choose the endpoints)

      @@pratik7260 There's two aspects to it. One is the actual things he did - everybody knows you can't fix pinball machines nowadays. But the second aspect is his personality traits. This is where I wonder. Would someone with the same personality be successful today? Today 99% people only talk about Buffett. No one really gives enough credit to the people around him for what he is.
    1. His wife- for looking after the house while he was busy reading and making money and for also tolerating his frugal behaviour
    2. his father for being a congressman and a stock broker and for not being a financial burden on his son
    3. his 2 mentors for teaching Buffett their own strategies by writing a book as well as in person and
    4. Munger for being a support system to Buffett
    And I am sure many other family and friends we don't know about

    • @sp123

      The system is intentionally leaves these people out beaus they know poor people think Buffet's accomplishments are done by one person. Rich people inherently understand the power of relationships.

    His Dad was a congressman with ties to the government. His Dad was also a broker and trader, which is one of the biggest reasons why Warren is where he is today. It is of my opinion, that Warren *probably* got insider information to many of his investments, which is illegal today.
    Because of his Dad’s connections, Buffet was able to raise 10 000 dollars for his first fund from wealthy families. After his Dad’s untimely passing, he immediately closed the fund and returned the family. Many people believe this is because he no longer had the insider information from his Dad to make the proper decisions.

    I've followed Buffett's second rule since the guy himself relentlessly pushes it in interviews. I took a deep breath and put a few thousand dollars (which was a lot to me back then) into NVIDIA. I forgot how much it was but my dad was NOT happy to say the least. Today, those shares ballooned to about $64,000. My biggest regret is not investing in Tesla. I though their shares would plummet if a rival decided to take on Musk but for some reason, it never happened.

    • @bingo567890
      @bingo567890 3 роки тому +5

      So far yes, but soon the Tesla might explode since too many people brainlessly put their money into it in such a short time, without the support of company’s actually income growth. Yet, in long terms Tesla is gonna be extremely good, unless some sorta similar cars requires new form of energy take over before the prevalence before 2040 where most countries already banned using old form of cars. So, don’t feel regret, there is always time dude!!

    • @MrSupernova111
      @MrSupernova111 2 роки тому

      If you bought NVIDIA when it was about $30 a few years ago it means that you started with about $8,000. The S&P 500 doubled in about the same time frame. You got very lucky. Don't expect those kind of returns every time you buy a stock. I see that you already lament not investing in a company that didn't produce a profit for the majority of its life simply because in retrospect the stock price outperformed the market. Tesla could very easily implode as competitors gang up and Tesla fails to deliver in profits. Look at Facebook or Peloton if you need an example of what happens when investors dump the stock.

    So basically:
    1. in the beginning he used his discounted price from his grandfather grocery store, none should believe he would have payed the same amount as any customer, basically he paid gross or even grandfather supported him with even lower prices,
    2. then he was extremely, super lucky on stock market, not saying he was not a great investor, but having those profits, especielly he was almost all in many times, and not having unlucky pickes, where for example had buyout thefts (pushing the price to the floor to buyout cheap the company) or other incidents is extremely lucky...
    3. Even in his first investment, which stock felt a lot, get back... Usually stocks felling this much not getting back, so at least 70 case out of 100 he would have loose everything... He had luck from the beginning even when he did not know anything about stock market... And his story could be much otherwise without winner's bias as saying he will kill himself without 1 million dollar until age 31...
    4. his father was a politician and a brokersman: how easy to invest with insider information about macrooconimc hanges and governmant decisions, plus with a geninounly honest and expert advisor (his father)...
    5. probably this newspaper job was achieved by his father influence, if it is that good money, I bet there were a ton of adults (not buys) applying for it.
    6. getting 25.000USD (20% of his wealth in that time, and in actual value 25.000 USD) just for not smoking (ok, though life:D, potentially getting allowance from parents as well),
    7. his university teacher was one of the best investor of all times, hedge fund manager, and was giving freely investment advices, and as well (potentially insider) tips to the class, again, hard to invest with all of these advantages...
    8. now it start to be even funnier, buying shares in a classroom where the CEO is the teacher, of course no insider information were shared there, and hits made buffet 1000x!!! RETURN, biggest return in all time, in super young age...
    9. partnership with father,
    10. ciger butts strategy is not working anymore, in the age of high volume trading algorithms, public information for everyone, plus buyout thefts much more frequent than it was before probably... So when a company is down, it can go even lower by a LOT and be bought out for pennies...
    11. I am 10000% sure that Warren Buffet cigar butts strategy would not work in today's environment, to many theft, manipulation and dishonest handling happening, the only way if you can buy enough to have voting power in that company, but then again, you need a lot of money for this to work...
    It is clearly seen Buffet was EXTREMELY lucky in multiple time in his life, as well not discarding the fact that he was a genius investor and probably someone who can save money and invest and living rigid life.
    But it can be seen that not everyone has even the 0.1% of these options, or even 0.001% if born in a developing country, not a white male in US, not considering all the above points so simply not fair to compare yourself to Buffet, he had an enormous advantage in life. Good luck all!
    A bit funny, to show these unrealastic stories....
