Just got another OXO salad spinner at the thrift store for $2.25 plus 90% off since it was kitchen stuff that was 90% off that day. I bought it to gift someone at work who talked about getting one. ❤ she was super excited and thankful!

Your tip re lemon juice in salad washing worked FANTASTIC...kept my lettuce fresh an entire week...thanks! A tip for you is to let your bananas ripen to the stage that you like them, then put them in a plastic bag & store in the fridge. They will STAY at that stage for over a week, honest! The skin may darken but inside remains fresh. Your kids may eat them up faster than I can, but it has really saved me from making banana bread again & again because they got too ripe! Also, apples give off ethylene gas & thus cause other fruits to ripen faster. Works great if you’ve got green bananas, but not if you don’t want them to get too ripe, too fast. LOVE< LOVE> LOVE your channel! 👍🥰

Being a Massachusetts girl, I never put celery in my chowda.. bacon or a slab of salt pork to start your base. Then onion, garlic, chicken broth diced potato, clam juice, fresh husked steamer clams, heavy cream and float a couple PATS of butter on top 😀

I've made clam chowder for years. Add the clams at the very last moment, otherwise, they become tough.

How long do you spend on meal prep? I love love meal prep but I have noticed that I have been shying away from it lately because it takes about 4 - 5 hours to prep breakfast, lunch, and dinners (I don't completely cook dinners but go ahead and chop things, get things marinading, or assemble casseroles).

    • @Jen-Chapin

I loved Home Chef when I used to get it! I have a family of 6 but I ordered the 2 people dinners because I'd make it on special nights for hubs and I lol! Do you do the 4 person? Do your kids enjoy the meals? I've been eyeing Kimmys recipe!

Home Chef is definitely interesting, especially for a work lunch prep. At $4.95 per serving, that’s about the same price as my hospital cafeteria charges per entree. Home Chef would definitely taste better 😳

Try Green Chef if you haven't before. I found them better than Home Chef. The portions are bigger and the recipes aren't as fussy.
I hope you didn't throw away the broccoli stems. 😣

Also, didn't the fish smell fishy when heating it up at work? I am always wary of bringing seafood for lunch since it's taboo in the workplace
