He was brave and stood up to his opponents until the end. Also his fight with reji shows that
Kenta had one of the best character developments in the entire series, from a young, inexperienced, naive blader to one of the most powerful, serious in the series. He wasn't even that much of a crybaby as you make him out to be
@@brent4536 the fact that kenta defeated his first strong opponent after two episodes of training and bird whos the main character just consistently loses 10 episodes in
Throughout the show, Ryuga stuck to his guns and didn't take shit from anybody. He never gave in to peer pressure, never played by anyone's rules but his own, and never backed down. Metal Fusion set the tone for him, Metal Masters flipped it on its head, showing us that there was a lot more to him than met the eye, and Metal Fury gave us the perfect conclusion to his character arc. Ryuga is the reason I watched this show, and the only episodes I rewatch are the ones with Ryuga in them. This man was the GOAT. He only lost to the main character, who had plot armor plus the force-ghosts of three of the strongest people around (at the time) in Fusion, took no L's and no damage at all in Masters (He straight up called a nuke weak shit), and only lost to a literal God in Fury. A literal God that had the power of every bey in the world, including his own. He was fighting someone with his own power plus the entire planet combined, and he was still going hit for hit for an entire episode. Ryuga wasn't just strong, he was skilled, intelligent, and persistent. Ryuga didn't win because of BS powerups. He trained like hell to earn those powerups (Except that one time with the star fragment), and beat the brakes off everyone who were supposed to have those same powerups. He put in the work like no one else did. He trained Kenta, who by all accounts was an ordinary guy, and put him on the level of demigods. He trained him to the point where he was one of three people that ever put a mark on L-Drago. (One of two, if you exclude the S1 finale, which was two transformations ago). Throughout his entire arc, he first showed that he was not an insane maniac trying to kill everyone, then showed that he wasn't a Vegeta and actually helped save the world, then showed that he had a heart by not leaving Kenta to die, then showed his inner Vegeta by fighting the God of Destruction when there really was no need to do so, showed his strength by fighting Nemesis solo, and then showed that he was an honorable guy by sticking to what he promised Kenta, even at the cost of his life. Ryuga doesn't fit into any classical anime character categories, because he is literally built different. This is one of the most legendary caracter depictions in all of anime, and it is a shame to see that so few appreciate it. Also, Ryuga was the first person to learn how to teleport. Which makes his training even more impressive - He could teleport, and he still walked across deserts and mountains. Put simply, Ryuga is, and forever will be, the definition of HIM.
Even setting aside the show, I really think beyblades are the best “toy” ever made. Unlike the other popular games like Pokémon, Bakugan, Yugi-Oh, you can actually use the beyblades fairly similar to how we saw it on TV. Not to mention that you could take apart and make your own totally new ones. Amazing.
@@bradygoldblatt560 Take the tip of Cosmic Pegasus for example, it starts out as a semi-attack, semi-stamina tip because the centrifigual forces eject the mechanism that holds the tip, but when spinning forces decrease, the tip goes back in and the part that has contact with the ground is the most aggressive attack tip ever, huge and really flat tip overall that is made of rubber. Variares D:D's entire existance is like this too. The same centrifigual forces activate the mechanism that retracts the "shields", which rounds off the Fusion Wheel to make it better for defence. When the bey is first launched, it has a lot of spin and centrifigual force, so the shields are retracted and there are huge gaps which provides great smash attacks, because contact points are heavy and huge, thanks to the fact that they contain the retraction mechanisms. When these forces decrease, the shields are up and the bey is in defence mode, taking hits easier because of the circle-ish profile of the Fusion Wheel, thus not losing as much spin. So yeah. It was fun. Edit: Accidentally responded to the wrong comment (maybe more than once, sorry for that)(Also a typo corrected).
Deadass i think in universe the non generic beyblades in the show could kill people. We see Benkei shatter whole ass walls and make buildings tremble and thats an early feat

Masamune slowly became my favorite character. At first I thought he was annoying but bro would always try his best even if he lost he would still get back up and fight. There's a reason he was the strongest non-legendary blader.
Yes, and Metal Masters was peak anime. Gingka was peak main character, and Ryuga was peak antagonist. Then Kenta was peak in Metal Fury. I still love when he gets Flash Sagittario and starts going ham on Rago and Nemesis.
@@FujitoraX In my humble opinion, Valt was nowhere near as good as Gingka (In my opinion). As for Tyson, I can't say because I haven't finished Bakuten Shoot. However, I feel it's necessary to point out that the characters of Valt and Gingka were doing two different things. Gingka was the strong, Gary-Stu character, and a product of the late 2000s, meant to be strong and inspiring, with strong morals and a good sense of righteousness and the power to back it up. Meanwhile, Valt was meant to be more childish, and more grounded. The character of Valt is meant to have a journey to strength more easily followed, who works hard to gradually improve as time goes on. While he does start off as annoying, he grows on you and changes those around him because his cheerful and childish nature is so contagious. He matures over time, and when he gets serious, he can accomplish great things. You can't really aptly compare the two. While Valt's development is superior, as Gingka is more of a static character, Gingka's raw determination and strong morals make him more inspiring, at least in my opinion. Again, that's just my opinion, and as for Tyson, I don't really know, and therefore, I won't say. Feel free to have your own opinion, and I will not judge you for it. I like both Gingka and Valt, mostly because the other Burst MCs are mid (Aiga barely clears). If you've read all of this, I want you to know I hope you have a good day.
@@etrnl_t I actually disagree with the notion that Gingka was a Gary-Stu character, because we see that he has flaws throughout each 3 of the series. After losing to Ryuga in the Fusion series, Gingka runs away near Hyoma Village. There are also multiple montages of him training, showing that he has to work for the power he gains. The definition of a Gary-Stu is a boring male protagonist that has no flaws and always overpowers his opponent easily without working for it or breaking a sweat. Think about it, all of the major battles Gingka has been in, he's always had to try his absolute hardest to win them, ie; Gingka vs Nemesis, etc. While I agree that Gingka has plot armour cause he's the protagonist of the show, calling him a Gary-Stu is a reach.
as an 18 yr old who grew up a little too fast (admittedly my own doing), i still watch Beyblade Metal Saga like its a mainstream anime, such as HxH and others. Peak childhood show to this day fs
what stood out to me most was how well the beys were animated and drawn. Instead of being a blurry mess when they're spinning (og Beyblade series), the Metal saga took care to actually show the parts of the bey while spinning accurate. For e.g in 0:47 you can make out the Storm Pegasus' 105 RF, Flame Sagittario's C145S. Even the powers of the beys were actually explained and that power represented the irl bey's characteristics in some way or the other, instead of just saying "magical bit-beast power". For e.g you can explain Meteo L-Drago LW105LF's "energy stealing" capabilities by the fact the the irl bey actually had rubber, to "spin-steal" from the opponent's generally right spin bey. Details like these really really stood out to me.
not trying to take anything away from what you said because its true but back in the days of the og series they just didnt have the technology to mass reproduce the many different parts that were in the show to such a high standard at a profitable price which is the main reason of the show to be a giant advertiesment for the toys
This really was peak at its finest. Every episode tied to the overall story and each character was written beautifully. Long live the Dragon Emperor Ryuga -Remember Ryuga will always live in our hearts as Legends Never Die!
Kyoya was my favourite....I was so into leone and kyoya that I shifted my favourite colour from red to green....and favourite number from 1 to 5 (coz I saw kyoya's rank was 5 on some random rank card)
I grew up with the metal saga and saw the rise of burst, I think despite both being beyblades, they're both incomparable with how different they are story wise. I may be a burst fan with how the beyblades are but the anime I think is where metal fight peaked
Burst is more concerned to "beyblade as a sport". Well, Burst God had simillar storyline like Metal Saga first season, but they still concerned as a sport. And yeah, I agree that Metal Saga and Burst are incomparable. Because they had different perspective about beyblade. Burst are simillar like the new Beyblade X. Their perspective is beyblade as a sport.
@@HafidzanHusnaI think my main issue with the burst anime is how they changed the duels from being just one fight to being mumtiple rounds. I understand why it's the case with the burst mechanic. But I think it really cheapened the duel because each round was forgettable. Like they had to artificially increase the tension by making them stay on a draw for several rounds just to come close to the intensity of the metal saga fights. Metal saga was wacky but the big fights were really intense and it really made you feel like those extremely skilled people were giving their whole to win
Also, those beyblades were the most sturdy of all the series. Everything after Metal was meant to explode, and the series before could easily have the locking system break. For the metal series, you can only really break a beyblade my overdoing it with the screw
I wasn't into Beyblade until my little brother got me into the show and then into getting the toys. Needless to say I was hooked and I'm glad my brother put me on such an amazing show. 10/10 masterpiece
One of my favorite things about the show which I really wish the later ones did is the varieties of the battlefields in this show we have the standard stadiums with the occasional gimmick, but truly start taking them everywhere and anywhere it's glorious!
I was in this sort of weird position where I watched the end of the early Beyblade with Tyson and Kai, and I watched the beginning of the metal fusion Beyblade. Only watching the first season. This was a fun video even if I didn't have as much nostalgia.
Can we all talk about one UBER underrated characters. Which is Tsubasa and Yu. Tsubasa ACTUALLY went ham during the KOTH in Brazil and my god the fact he has such a basic design for a bey, dude is seriously hype.
Beyblade metal saga was my childhood. The days when we would hold real tournaments and clash with our friends and other kids through our beyblades were dope.
In the 1st episode of the 1st season, it was explained what the power of the bey is. True power of bey has nothing to do with attack power or stamina, he attacks using the feeling of the blader that is connected to him. The Hell of Kerbecs is a form of the bey's ability and is not an absolute indicator of strength, moreover, a similar change of space was already in the 1st season with Thermal Pisces.
While I do like metal fight beyblade saga, and I do think that it was a great part of the beyblade franchise, I still think that the original Beyblade saga is better.
These kids too young to understand 😂, a lot of these new characters were just reincarnated from the og show, like the lion guy was basically what ray was and ryuga was basically kai lol. Plus the og story line was better overall and Tyson was a better main character than this pegasis guy. I forgot alot of these names but I have watched both series start to finish a long time ago
Rayuga carried this whole Bayblade series. GOAT Character. Although, for me, the best Bayblade is the classic one (Bayblade G revolution), and my favorite Character is Tysaon and his Bayblade Draigun
The metal saga was def peak. I’m mad happy that someone is giving the metal saga credit it deserves. Also fuck Chris dawg. To this day I still wanted Masaune to win that fight and become a legendary blader. Yes Ik, he didn’t deserve it but I rather him get that power up and beyblade evolution/change than some random mercenary blader that BY PURE CHANCE HAS A DAMN WINTER CONSTELLATION beyblade too. To me Chris was a ass pull to me.
The thing about masamune and it really hurts to say one part of me is just like WHY COULDN'T Masamune be a legendary blader but the other part is this. If you remember masamune's whole thing was that he was such a strong blader on his own. Like Masamune during Metal Fury was literally on par with the bladers that had the star fragment. Imagine how broken he'd be if he did get a star fragment.
The scene where he throws Meteo Ldrago might be the most iconic beyblade metal series moment. The fact that it wasn’t a gimmick and actually works to win battles IRL makes this moment even more f#cking legendary. Ryuga was him and we all know it
Metal saga was cool but the OG beyblade with Tyson and Kai I think was just better. Seeing the bit beast fight and everything was just so cool and because I started with that, the transition to metal saga was a bit rough because you don't really get bit beast fighting. You just get animal spirits occasionally appearing and spinning tops hitting each other lol
The old series is the best one out of all of them, you tripping. Metal series is fantastic and all but the OG had Kai who IS still the most badass and dripped out character out of all of them. Ryuga has a close shot though.
in south america shaman king, digimon and medabots were insanenly popular, and not underated at all, we even had collective card albums that were sold for each of those (at least in chile). but yeah, those beyblade and pokemon were amazing.
I remember when metal saga was kn Netflix. I always wanted to watch it but i had to share screen time with brothers since obly the computer had Netflix at the time. I only ever watched like a few episodes but i wish i could watch the whole thing. It was pretty cool even though i only ever owned like two of the older beyblades before they went to burst. I had some burst at some point but i don't know where they are anymore.
Beyblade X have reaaalllyyy interesting storyline and I think better than Burst (first season) storyline. Unfortunatelly Beyblade X animation is a little bit rushed because untill now, Beyblade X manga still on going at chapter 6. This December should released 7th chapter. And the problem is, new manga chapter released once in a month and anime is once in a week. There's big chance will be a lot of filler at BBX. I suggested you read the manga too because the original story is at the manga. But still, BBX storyline is very good. Bird's determination to reach the peak and Kurosu X's wish to have proper battle with Chrome. Can't wait how the story unfold.
Flame Sagittarius was my first Beyblade. I later bought the ray striker, hell kerbecs, twisted tempo, eventually a phantom Orion and the last one was varyaries. Hades is the best Beyblade I have ever seen.
The original english opening and hindi openings are both fire and the dub was also great. I still watch 1-2 eps time to time whenever i want to feel the nostalgia from 12 years ago. Only 2 years ago i found out that there was a movie after Metal Masters and nobody knew about it.
Tbh metal saga is very underrated version of beyblade series. The tyson shit idk why fans love it, ig (90s is the best) formula is applied there. Then there is burst series, thats all about showing fancy beys with fancy tech and mechanics to sell their merchandise as they are super famous now, and story is shit. Metal saga was all about friendship, learn from mistakes, give others chance to grow ( I'm talking about kiyoya, rayuga, banke and krist etc). This show had some jam packed fights in every series and really showd it's all about story and not merch and uprising of company. That's what makes metal saga a really good anime, even tho it's based on a life where a toy 🪀 is literally a mass weapon of destruction (hey hades tec basically created a death ray with this beyblade shit 😂, even death star bows over hades ,😂). So anyway what i wanna say is "Metal Saga" is the best beyblade anime of history so far
Nice to meet a fellow man of culture who gets that: Beyblade > Yu-Gi-Oh! > Digimon > Bakugan > Pokemon. Okay, that might just be my ranking but, it's nice that someone spoke about all of them in one video. Edit: There's no way you dissed the original Beyblade like that, the metal series was good but, the OG holds up a lot better, in the same way Yu Yu Hakusho holds up better than some later shonen series. It's that old-school dubbing, hits different.
@@terra3673 Nah, it being ranked last amongst those other series doesn't mean it's bad, just not as good. Beyblade was just a lot cooler imo, Digimon had an actual plot and character development, Yu-Gi-Oh had Kaiba and Bakugan was like a discount Digimon (still had a plot tho). Pokemon just got repetitive after the first few seasons (some of the newer seasons are great tho). A real anime lover knows how to distinguish quality from nostalgia.
I like Beyblade G revolution more than any of the metal seasons. Most characters in the original were incredible and had their own growths. Out of the three seasons of the original, I think V force is the one which was kinda lackluster but the 2 other seasons were better than all metal seasons. You should rewatch and review them
I've watched the OG series and G revolution was great I agree but the first 2 seasons were nothing compared to the Metal Saga, though they were far better than Burst.
Yu was my favorite character and libra. He was annoying most of the time but in the fist season he was op but got nerfed pretty hard after unfortunately. I just love how dumb he is but how smart he can be in battle
One day we gon have to talk about Og Beyblade, cuz I ain't about to pretend that shit wasn't hitting on all cylinders. Og Beyblade wrote the book on peak Beyblade
I grew up with the originals Beybalde anime starring the Bladebreakers, so I'll always have more nostalgia for those shows, but I see clearly why your generation was able to enjoy these so much. It's a different time but the style only evolved from there.
Ikr! But people tend to like more 'realism' in anime nowadays than back in the day. They say that Beyblade is a 'sport' anime so it should be more 'realistic'.
I've also been rewatching the show for a nostalgia trip, now that I'm older... how time flies. "Beyblade, Beyblade, let it rip Let's fight an epic battle, face off, and spin the metal! No time for doubt now, no place for backing down... Beyblade, Beyblade, let it rip! Beyblade, Beyblade, let it rip! Spin out some blade now, bring on the power! Right to the top yeah, we're never giving up... Here comes, here comes, Metal Masters! Let's go Beyblade, let it rip! Metal Masters, let it rip! This is it, get a grip, let it rip!" Goddamn, that theme song still hypes me up, even as a university student. Ryuga is the GOAT though 💪💪 For a kid's show antagonist, he never gets nerfed, gets a good amount of development, and even after his redemption, he only ever teams up with Gingka and the others just because it's convenient. And I noticed that you're a fellow man of culture for using Colress' battle theme 🤝
Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, bayblade and a bit of Pokémon (but I was more of a fan of the Pokémon games). Digimon wasn’t introduced to me until I saw digimon fusion randomly one day out of the blue and thought it was alright then found the original from there. In order between the favorites in order was Yu-Gi-Oh! 5DS, Bakugan being a very close second, bayblade and then Pokémon. To this day I still have love and appreciation for these ones. Later installments, on and off
Metal saga is one of the first anime that use japanese original soundtrack as well as having a serious story and have a relatable protagonist. That's only the beginning.
Y’all have to admit that one moment when we thought masamune was finna be a legendary blader and then Chris just went sicko mode obliterating him was hard
The biggest p*sstake was the Gingka v Kyoya battle in metal masters.. Kyoya studied Pegasus and had a plan for every one of Gingka's moves... meanwhile Gingka after getting absolutely battered all battle was able to draw just by screaming and his plot armour.. they should have made Masamune win against Nile which would have allowed Kyoya to win vs Gingka..
Peak and best elaboration

So yeah.
It was fun.

Yes, and Metal Masters was peak anime. Gingka was peak main character, and Ryuga was peak antagonist. Then Kenta was peak in Metal Fury. I still love when he gets Flash Sagittario and starts going ham on Rago and Nemesis.
Rayuga wasnt an antagonist in metal masters
But yeah I really enjoyed Kentas rise in metal fury
@@rasberrydefender1930 bro I know that lol never said he was. I was saying that in terms of seasons, Metal Masters was the peak of the series.
Gingka was mid compared to Tyson and Valt, Metal Masters agree is the best season of metal, and Ryuga was mostly peak beyblade character.
That's the whole selling point that u get matching beys in real life to buy...it's basically a huge advertisement for the toys lmao
@@terra3673 don't mind watching such cool ads tho
not trying to take anything away from what you said because its true but back in the days of the og series they just didnt have the technology to mass reproduce the many different parts that were in the show to such a high standard at a profitable price which is the main reason of the show to be a giant advertiesment for the toys
This really was peak at its finest. Every episode tied to the overall story and each character was written beautifully.

Metal saga was wacky but the big fights were really intense and it really made you feel like those extremely skilled people were giving their whole to win
ngl Burst might have better finishing move names than Metal series.
Burst is great but it was extended for too long tbh, should have ended with super z
Also, those beyblades were the most sturdy of all the series. Everything after Metal was meant to explode, and the series before could easily have the locking system break.

Nile was one of the most OP and amazing characters in the Metal Series.
I was in this sort of weird position where I watched the end of the early Beyblade with Tyson and Kai, and I watched the beginning of the metal fusion Beyblade. Only watching the first season. This was a fun video even if I didn't have as much nostalgia.
Same here except I was transitioning from Metal Saga to Burst.😂
Can we all talk about one UBER underrated characters.
Which is Tsubasa and Yu. Tsubasa ACTUALLY went ham during the KOTH in Brazil and my god the fact he has such a basic design for a bey, dude is seriously hype.
Was? It still IS peak
That's what I'm sayin
These kids too young to understand 😂, a lot of these new characters were just reincarnated from the og show, like the lion guy was basically what ray was and ryuga was basically kai lol. Plus the og story line was better overall and Tyson was a better main character than this pegasis guy. I forgot alot of these names but I have watched both series start to finish a long time ago
I agree! the og is better and g revolution was just wow!
Kai from OG series and Ryuga from Metal series are my favourites❤

I liked chris bro was just in it for the money and his beyblade was broken as hell
Imagine how broken he'd be if he did get a star fragment.
anyone remember monsuno???
Beyblade was wild. Really enjoyed that they started going around the entire world after fusion.
10/15 years later, this video just randomly showed up in my feed and BOY. That version of beyblade was goated. The flashback hit HARD.
The scene where he throws Meteo Ldrago might be the most iconic beyblade metal series moment. The fact that it wasn’t a gimmick and actually works to win battles IRL makes this moment even more f#cking legendary. Ryuga was him and we all know it
Ryuga was peak screen time whenever beyblade came on
No matter how many versions of beyblade are made, I'll never forget the metal masters. I still remember it like it was yesterday...
Bakugan and Beyblade had NO RIGHT being as good as they were for an F-ing Merchandise anime. These shows absolutely slapped.
Metal fight was so good, I hope beyblade x grows to be even greater
Yu-Gi-Oh (GX & 5ds) and Beyblade metal fusion were PEAK
OG series was definitely better. This was close tho

Y’all have to admit that one moment when we thought masamune was finna be a legendary blader and then Chris just went sicko mode obliterating him was hard
Couldn't care less about masamune or ginga...both characters should be deleted honestly
Kyoya got truly robbed in that battle..
