sounds like that despite having an aftermarket headers it kept the beautiful high pitch V10 sound, not like with the Evolve or the Agency Power headers
I would love to see these headers on a stroker S85 like Troy Jeup's 5.5 or 6.0l. Evolve intakes and a tune from Jim on that engine might be the ultimate N/A S85. I'm salivating just thinking about it.

@@randywei7 Hey Randy, got installed the headers a few days back :) i might got the V2 headers, sadly they doesnt fit perfectly on the steering column. Did you got the same problem and may have a solution? sometimes in right turns the headers hit the steering and thats very annoying and dangerous :)
@@wengim5630 I do notice that sometimes I do feel a slight rub when turning after having the headers installed. Doesn’t happen often and my tech saw where it was rubbing and didn’t think it was too bad. Only happens during slow turns, I noticed. And only after metal has warmed up and expanded a little

Definitely recommended the 3.91 LSD. Best bang for the buck mod, IMO. There's a reason why they call it the "poor man's supercharger". You can either order it already pre-built into a LSD from places like performancegearing.com/ or you can buy the R&P itself from like Turner Motorsports and find a local shop to do the swap of gears for you (I did the latter route - cheaper, but you must find a good shop).
Hi mate, greetings from Australia again. Would you recommend Evolve mafless tune or BPM for the M5? I am really enjoying my Tuned dCT E90 M3 with full exhaust, feels very good and quick however I have never owned e60 m5 and would love to experience the V10. Had the e39 M5 and ess 625 SC e92 M3. In your opinion would I be happy with a e60 M5 with say primary cat delete , rear muffler delete, a tune inc smg and maybe 3.91 gearing change. What’s you experience., what’s faster and more thrilling . Thx again for any advice. I don’t want to move on the e90 and be sorry .cheers
your ess625 M3 would be the faster than a FBO M5. As far as tunes, I've never tried the BPM tune so I can't comment on how it compares, but I have friends who really like it. The v10 of the e60 M5 is intoxicating though and something that neither of the cars you mentioned can match. The e60 M5 lacks in low end torque, but getting a 3.91 LSD like I did helps a lot. Hope that helps a bit.
I used an external microphone (Sony, I think) that I hooked up to the audio jack on my GoPro. GoPro was mounted inside the car on the sunroof and I ran the audio cable through thr ski rack opening through the trunk to the back of the car and mounted the mic on the bumper
Is it just my impression or gear shifts are slightly quicker than stock? I had an M6 E63 for a few days and must admit the gearbox caught me a bit off guard: snappy and a bit slow. This one looks "crispier".

You never know the true health of his engine to just go off peak power so its better to use the delta before and after. From big differences in Dyno'd and also the air delivery set-up (fans) it only can be certain to use the same dyno, in similar ambient conditions before and after. PEAK HP is just one indicator and not a very good one. The overall area under the curve at all rpm ranges is the way to test a mod. Jim, the creator of the FAMS tune is seriously the best and offers the grail SMG tune for free! I can not wait to try his decat tune with Eventuri intakes and Infinity Design TRUE long tune headers. The headers look UNBELIEVABLE and deliver torque gains in the low and high ends of the power band. What headers was your friend running? 93 or 91 because a California car? how many miles on the engine and its service history? New plugs and coils or old, how many miles on the plugs and coils? Many people buy cars that were beat on or not properly maintained from people wanting to get out of the car right before a big service bill is due. New owners slap on a tune and wonder what is going on. Not suggesting this is the case but can say its hard to believe he is running healthy, DECATED, and Jim's tune and only making 537 BHP. Decatted stock headers alone will give that.
And what’s that weird green light flickering on your dash when switching lanes I’ve seen it on other m5s but my car doesn’t have that. You should go get it checked out.
@@formo11 The HUD is a special option. The turn signals being displayed on the HUD is a coding option. I believe it's enabled by default for Europe, but for North America it's disabled by default.
@@TheTAEclub Make sure you don't skimp out on maintenance. Always let the oil properly warm up before really pushing the car. Before the oil is at temp I never drive above 4k RPM. I get my car's fluids changed out regularly. Oil changes every 5000 miles.
@@randywei7 totally agree do you think 08 cars are better mechanically than 09 10 cars since 08 seems to have the least amount of problems and I saw some 2010 cars that ran into major issues at 40k miles. Maybe it's because the 08 cars a driven more and the latter sat in a garage...
Thank God it doesn't. A huge heavy car like the E70 really needs forced induction to make it move. Even the 4.8 N62 V8 isn't anywhere near as good as the twin turbo diesel. If the high revving S85 was in that car, it would be frustratingly slow to drive for 99% of the time and then the moment you decide to rev the engine out, you'll be in a huge house moving forward with 500hp, haha.
No, no other Evolve Stage 4 cars in my area AFAIK. I'm selling my Evolve LTH to a local guy though. He may already have the tune and intakes. He actually bought my old Evolve Race-R headers a few years back haha

Low ratio diff is a great idea because other drivers are dangerous when you are going 200 miles per hour.

Yes, I do like my FAMS tune more. Jim is able to add extra tweaks (i.e. faster SMG shifts) that no other tuners offer.
