I remember I first started watching you back when I gave lords of the fallen a second chance after watching you start playing. Here I am years and games later still watching you for awesome content and guides/builds. Keep it up man!
Hi fellow bow mains, wanted to mention spread bow is even better than rapid at the moment, of course the distancing makes it harder to play, but paired with dodgebolt, the new stake thrust in between combos, and bladescale hone buffing close range coating, you get a lot of damage.
If for some reason you really just want to make one bow, you can always go with the Seregios bow. Great raw at 380, 10% affinity, Rapid 5 on charge levels 2 and 3 (though it needs the Mighty Bow Jewel), two level 1 slots for your Quickload Jewel 1s, a level 2 Rampage slot, and it (may) have the innate Bladescale Hone it used to have back in Gen 4. That 380 raw, by the way, is up there with Tigrex and Diablos bows, both of which have negative affinity, and the Garangolom Bow, which gets Rapid 1/Spread 2/Rapid 3/Spread 4 - not good if you want a pure Spread bow either.
@@JanusHoW True but with bow you really just need one since once you get it to trigger, the buff lasts a good while so I just don't think its worth deco slots to max it out
I've been trying to working with dodge-bolt for quite a while, I've gotten to the point of dodging about 60% of the moves by timing them right, but seeing a build like this where you also use charging side-step makes me feel thankful that I don't HAVE to use dodge-bolt all the time.
To be honest, Dodge-Bolt timing shouldn't be what you focus on since it'll just get you nailed...Treat it like Charging Sidestep but with a bonus sometimes it parries! If you can slap in an Evade Extender while using Dodge-Bolt, it covers the same distance as base-distance Sidestep for less stamina cost. But yeah, if it's not feeling right for you, Sidestep is still a good skill to use! Stamina consumption is less a problem and the edge cases where Sidestep will exhaust you where Bolt would not don't come up all that frequently.
@@TransientWitch Thank you for the advice! I didn’t even realize that there was a difference in stamina consumption between the two moves. Good to know :).

Thank you for this easy to follow build/entertaining video. I’m doing half the damage right now with bow… with this build I may be able to out damage my husband and his friends!
you only need 2 const tbh if you voucher every time, cuz 70% chance the fighter dango gets activated and the fighter dango lvl4 only needs a const lvl 2 to reach the stamina reduction cap
@@GoddamLuke the problem with the lvl4 dango is, 70% is not that high, if it fails to activate, you will have to change your set to one with lvl 4 cons, or run with a shitty lv 2

Hey, nice bow guide ! I'm just thinking whether have you overshot the stamina efficiency as you already have a level 5 constitution on your gears, meaning that you most likely won't be receiving any effect on Dango Fighter anymore.
Thanks for the build. Seeing the Ibushi bow being suggested made me go look at Espinas bow if one doesn't like negative affinity. It only has pierce on 2nd shot but the rest is all rapid. Also only has a Level 1 Rampage slot so that's definitely a turn off for some
Interesting build. I’ve been using a much (at least I think) weirder build using gore mail to max coalescence. I don’t have that incredible of a talisman but I can definitely see the value in this build here. As for switch skills I prefer Focus Shot over Butcher’s bind purely because of how inconsistent butcher’s bind feels to me. Edit: I do actually run melee attack on blue so I can have at least some form of cutting damage, but unless I need to sever a tail I’m not really going to use it.
I'm trying out bow/lbg in LR, and work my way up (i'm MR5 w/ GS), so i can learn the weapon better. (i use tier equivalent gear) But i keep finding LBG just.... decimates my bow times, despite me having constitution 4 ish?? I'm just bad at hitting the shots while dancing around i guess. Glad to see it gets awesome later on, just so early i feel it just is so bad compared to LBG point and win. :D
i have a question, so say for the lunagaron bow, the charge levels for three and four are the same. Is it still necessary to gem in bow charge plus or would it be better if another decoration is used instead?
So is the Bow better than the LBG is Sunbreak? I'm a new player trying to figure out what I wanna stick with and while the LBG can be pretty fun, spamming pierce/slice gets boring really quickly.
Bow is much more involved and requires more skill to perfect. LBG and HBG are great weapons but all you really have to worry about is some slight positioning. Bow requires much more finesse and has a significantly higher skill ceiling.
@@jameelkurabi no. if we're talking max level efficiency it's HBG, Bow, then LBG. LBG is braindead and easily the strongest of the three rn, bow is very good and sometimes hard as you can get comboed very hard and one shot but it has very strong mobility. I'm curious, is it really okay in bow to run crit boost 3 but no crit eye or other affinity buff other than weakness exploit? and also why are you (and other youtuber I found) not running crit elem? is it not good?
He mentions during the video that the innate element on bows is significantly lower than other weapons such as DB and switch axe. He still prioritizes the proper element for the matchup but the highest raw with some element is more efficient.
How is it with Pyra kadaki "blast" bow? Looking at it, it seem like it have good affinity with decent raw. Also good slots I know before l, base Kadaki was good if you wanted to go pierce.
I've been a bow main but Rajang is a little too scary and fast for me to even think about using a bow. He can easily one to two shot because of the lower physical defense you have with bow.
I beat all of Sunbreak exclusively with the bow - my advice to you is to use the Dodgebolt skill. This allows you to dodge an attack the second it lands, without taking any damage. You also attack with your arrow, causing melee damage, though if I'm correct it consumes more stamina than a normal dodge. Well worth it, in my opinion.

Make sure you have even con and SS that stamina isn't a concern. Having good monster knowledge to know when to dodge in between shots is important, you can also use aerial aim to leap over certain attacks. It's all just practice.
