Glad it helped Ryan! We've improved our videos a lot since this one, but it's good to know we hit our main objective with our install videos right from the get go.
Holy crap! Such a pain in the arse to remove compared to the old model. Honda must have decided to take the Yamaha route when designing that tail section and how it all fits together.
Definitely not easy and part of the reason we converted to video for our install guides...you just can't relay this in word or picture stills.
I think you need to remove the engine as well to install the tail tidy...
Honda definitely didn't make it easy!

Does the entire rear fairing have to come apart to fit this kit

Unfortunately it does as the bolts holding the rear fender on are not accessible without removal of the rear fairing.
Hey I was trying to focus a little on the Tank Pad you guys put on the bike cause I have this exact model and I was wondering if you could specificy what brand or type it is. I’m having trouble finding one where I don’t have to take off the warning stickers that go up near the gas tank. I want them to stay on the bike and that looks like it works wonders.

Can a 2012 cbr1000rr convert to 2017 cbr1000rr tail fairing?
Not that we are aware @Saff Mad. The subframe etc are all different on the 17 from the earlier models so it would require quite a bit of work a d likely a custom subframe.
