I just bought one. Best literbike ever made for the road. Hands Down. I will put out an owners video in a few months. I test rode the GSXR, R1, 959 and this. Honda won for me hands down.
I am also considering to buy this model 2017....i have 2 question for you 2 both... A) the handlbear posición...is it more lean forward and downward than in the versión 2010 >2016? B) what about VIBRATIONS? I heard in the 10>16 model they are much disturbing..... I appreciate your opinión I love this bike...but in spain,2nd hand, is 15000e, versus 8500 e versión 2010...and i want to know if the difference iS worth while
+normlizer You have good taste in dream bikes but I may be a bit biased haha. No problem at all bud, thanks for saying "thanks" as it's a rarity on UA-cam with the vast majority of negative so thank you...
I do love the RC213V-S but even in my wildest dreams i could never afford one of them. :( I def could use a upgrade in bikes as my 2000 RC51 is getting a little old and outdated campared to these new bikes.
Love this moto and review, (as the bike is virtually the same for '18 & '19). One important item that was NOT pointed out when quoting HP specs, this moto is ECM muted by 15-17hp due to noise restrictions entering the USA. So, it is NOT 189HP until you send out the ECM to be flashed back to what comes standard in Europe...
At 5:10 you mention 3 levels of wheelie control and 9 levels of traction control. I thought wheelie control was tied into the traction in the 2017 and couldn't be adjusted separately? I thought this was one thing they rectified in the 2019, along with fixing the rear wheel lift as the ABS was too intrusive under heavy braking on the track? Cheers.
Thanks for the information. It's October 2020 right now and I'm looking for a used CBR1000RR I need to keep under $10k what do you recommend? 2017, 2018 or 2019 models?
@@hfr8343 2012, I know it's a older one. But I'm very happy with it. No ABS, No TC and that's really what I wanted. It's all stock except for the Akraprovic exhaust.
Actually it's no that easy. The sub frame is weakened on the SP and the holes where you would normally mount the passenger pegs does not have any threading. You would need to tap the holes. The owners manual states in several places that you should not convert the bike to carry a passenger. I have a '17 SP and I also had a '14 SP. On the '14 Honda did basically the same thing. I swapped a stock sub frame from a '12 that was close in color, but was not weakened. I had no issues carrying my girlfriend. Not sure if I'm going to convert my '17 with a stock sub-frame swap, as for '17, none of the stock CBR's have a silver frame, only black. It's also nearly $500 for the stock sub-frame. Not a cheap date.
+M J Yessir, all 2017 CBR1000RR models have LED headlights. You can see them in action at 7:08 . I meant to get up closer to them but forgot. You can also see the 2017 CBR1000RR SP headlights lit up on my review at - www.hondaprokevin.com/2017-cbr1000rr-sp-fireblade-review-changes-specs-sport-bike-cbr-motorcycle-news . Thanks for checking out the video and for posting up too.
+Sebastião oliveira Sadly that's probably going to be a no no. For 2017 they definitely aren't as all colors have already been announced etc. It's definitely a possibility though if they build a 2018 CBR1000RR SP. The reason I don't think they will is because the Repsol CBR1000RR SP models in the past haven't sold as well as the years they built the SP in the HRC color scheme like this year. I'll have 2018 CBR information posted up over at www.HondaProKevin.com in the next couple of months before Honda technically releases it "officially"...
The SP / SP2 versions of the CBR1000RR do not come with passenger pegs like the 'standard' CBR1000RR models. They also do not come with a passenger seat, just the cowl that replaces the passenger seat.
+p7272 Not sure if you're joking or being serious lol. If you're being serious, what would make them up to your standards as far as quality goes? I'm always up for constructive criticism ;)
LOL!!! When I first saw the video I was only getting 360p, but now I'm seeing the good stuff. Must have been YT issue. Keep the good stuff coming. PEACE ;-))
+p7272 lol ahhh, I gotcha. Sadly that's a big issue with UA-cam as if you check out most videos within an hour of being uploaded they are usually capped at 360p. It should be available now though in 4K. Thanks man, appreciate that. As long as you guys continue to watch my boring lil walk-around videos I'll keep em coming haha. Thanks again for watching and for posting up kind words too!
+TheVilouboy It's probably due to how limited the bike is and that there aren't a lot of owners out of that small percentage that will take the time to post a video. Honda built less than 600 SP and less than 100 SP2 models with most SP2 models being sent to race teams. I'm still in contact with the (1) SP I sold earlier this year and he's still in love with his. Hopefully we'll see some owners post up videos eventually.
bigbangzGaming because people are paying for them. Just like cell phones have gone in price up to a $1,000 or more is the same with bikes, consumers are paying for the price tags so they keep increasing prices. You have bikes that are above $30,000. Ridiculous $$$ to be on two wheels.
+nao mikael I think the vast majority agrees with you as the Matte Black 2017 CBR1000RR is leading in views and "likes" even against the limited edition SP version. I've gotta agree with you too. Normally if it's a Honda for me, it's got to be red but this matte black combo with red accents is dead sexy!

Are the motors run it , ready to race on purchase, or do you still need to run it in ?
love of the dasboard of this model awsomview
ure so lucky person can have that bike!
Can the quickshifter / auto blipper be 'turned' round into a race pattern ie 1 up - 5 down?
yes it can. No problem :-)
I wonder if this guy answers questions, if you do, can I get a regular CBR 1000rr with the SP1 parts? Or an SP1 Black?
No you can't. Standard RR, SP 1 or SP 2
Hi! Can I please you help me find from where you buy that engine black plastic cover???
Is looking awsome.... thank you for your time
Linda máquina eu só espero que dessa vez a CBR tenha ficado melhor que a S1000rr mais que a CBR ficou linda D+ ela ficou meu Brother.
I love CBR
Is it possible, and available, to convert passenger seat, and pegs for this bike. Thanks
+najim H Yup, it sure is. Thankfully Honda didn't make it too difficult just like the previous generation SP to throw passenger pegs and a seat on it.
