God of War runs pretty well on it once you overclock and push watt. I think 1Ghz is find you get around 30fps so PS3 performance and you don't drain too much of your battery (obviously 1,6+ Ghz is better but battery wise it doesn't make sense).
Exactly the video I was looking for. Hopefully we can get an app that makes it easy to change the TDP and GPU clock.
If you could please do a sort of teardown-style video for this device to see how repairable or not-repairable some of the components are. Obviously not everything will be.. user-fixable but it would be nice to see what is and isn't and to what degree essentially
Just seeing if the battery is replaceable would be great.
This is the most powerful UMPC even more than other AMD/intel device since it has better cooling it won't throttle it'll keep its clocks sustained
AMD really is pushing forward with their CPUs performance.
My desktop 3700X at 105W can't keep persona 5 at 30fps no matter how hard it tries, meanwhile here it plays perfectly fine on a 12W handheld.
You may be bottlenecking on the GPU if you don't have a powerful one. Just getting a GPU upgrade will give you 200% more performance if you were bottlenecking on it.
eh persona 5 will soon be running natively and will be a breeze to play
@@shlokshah5379 Emulation is all about CPU. GPU hardly matters. I have an RTX 3080TI with an i7 7700k and it runs GOW3 only about half as well as Max 2 in this video.

Can we get an AMD egpu review? I really know which model I want to pickup with my current 3080 egpu.
AMD needs to do some tuning of boost profiles. CPU boosts too hard, reducing GPU clocks, but then gpu seems to get stuck at random frequencies or tries to push too much voltage reducing clocks.
That's the purpose of more or less gaming dedicated socs with this use in priority like the steam deck
@@Tigerhearty My Steam Deck exhibited similar behavior. Limiting CPU boost clocks massively increased performance and power efficiency.

Even though I have a steam deck, rpcs3 performance is one thing I am envious of with regards to these 6800u devices.
How do you like your Steam deck? Will you be getting the Win Max 2 as well? I've backed the Win Max 2 and I have a reserve on the Steam Deck since late last year.
@@tonycurry5545 you will be getting your steam deck sooner now. Valve have just said they will be sending out all steam decks this year for those that have a reservation. I'm enjoying my steam deck and use it almost everyday. I fancy getting a win max 2 as well for the increased performance of emulation.
@Lee Ting I can play demon's souls and persona 5 at locked 30fps so i'm happy with that as they are both are a couple of my favorites. I've tried red dead redemption and the last of us on the steam deck and they are unplayable at around 10fps so yeah the 6800u looks like it has the power to run those at 30fps with its 8 cores and 16 threads.
Only reason I decided to wait. Ps3 emulation for me at least is a big deal

I think I'va already asked, but what is that indicator on the upper left again? Vulkan? Can someone point me how or where to get this?
Vulkan is just rendering backend. Some emulators can use opengl, vulkan and directx, mostly emulators work better with vulkan, it's included in gpu drivers, no need to install 3rd party apps

@@youtubepro2323 I always use a screen protector on all of my touch devices so I got the mid level to save some money. A matte screen protector will probably be like $10. Memory could always be added later for a cheaper price as well.
