I love seeing you play racing games as always, but seeing you branch out a little and showing us what YOU enjoy in your own way is great! (even if it is racing games they're older games, feels like a classic older Pants video). I know UA-cam doesn't really like it when creators try to branch out (seriously, way to encourage creativity guys), but a video like this every now and then is quite refreshing.

I love my Steam Deck, but I do plan on upgrading to a better device; either one of the 7840U devices or possibly the ROG Ally. The big size of the deck doesn't bother me; it's actually very comfortable to hold, but I just want something that's just a bit more powerful than the deck. I don't mind using Windows because I already dual boot Windows on my Deck so I'm familiar with the handheld Windows experience. I certainly would not buy a GPD Win 4 right now unless they make a ".5 Version" like they did with the GPD Win Max 2 that includes the newer 7840U. If there was a Win 4.5 that had a 7840U as opposed to the 6800U the Win 4 currently houses, however, then this would be my #1 pick by far, simply for the fact that it has that slide-out keyboard. A LOT of reviewers of the Ally are complaining about the on-screen keyboard when setting up Windows or game launchers, and while I already have a bluetooth k&m I already use with my Steam Deck, just having the option to slide the screen up to reveal a full tactile keyboard when I'm on the go and dont have access to a bluetooth keyboard would be awesome. We'll see how the next few months play out with these companies implementing the new chips.
It would be dope to have a "Budget Build Shuffle" where you make cars in every discipline, and have to choose for them randomly. So you might get a drag build in an off-road race and a drift build in a regular one🔥
Sony could easily just make a PS4 portable. Plays most games out now on slightly lower settings (which is fine for a small screen) and has a huge catalog already. No need to make separate games. I think it could do very well.
Sony is making a new handheld, just not the one people want. They have ported the most popular games slowly to PC and that is their solution, buy any x86 handheld and rebuy the games is the way they are going it seems.

the price alone doesnt make it a worthy competitor to the steam deck. the price of a 512gb steam deck is $680, while a GPD WIN4 is at least $1100, and the price of it is gonna go up most likely, since its like a "early adopter discount"
I wish Rockstar gave midnight club to someone else like criterion with NFS unbound maybe there would of been a lot more midnight club with more cars, customization, big maps , online, updates nonstop, DLC and stuff

Im not including the new PS portable or Logitech as they are just cloud focused which for me is garbage.
I own a Steam deck and it's better on price than GPD and Aya Neo also Valve is backing there Steam Deck with software updates, and they won't just churn out a new one in a few months making the previous a waste of money like GPD and Aya Neo.
I've seen several of these handheld computers that I really liked, especially the Gundam Edition of the ONEXPLAYER Mini, but this is the first one that I legitimately crave.
Hmmm... I have a suspicion the ASUS ROG Ally will probably blow this out the water in terms of performance per dollar atleast and likely in terms of pure performance too
Issue is the ally isn't nearly as portable. He mentioned liking this because of it's size, while the Ally is still nearly the same size as the steam deck.
Android is lacking in one area though. It would be epic if we had windows on android to run older pc games on it. Even a compatibility mode would make me happy.
@@Aliyah_666 it is available for select phones with the Snapdragon 835 and 845, Windows on ARM can run games suprisingly well. Only issue being resolution is fixed to the phones screen and can cause games to run at really low FPS.

I have a GPD Win 1 and 2. and had a great time with both devices :) but not sure if I would spend 800€+ If I was still traveling a lot and had to choose a device. I would probably spend it on a steam deck if my ONLY priority is playing games. On the other hand... a GPD is windows based and can be used for other useful tasks... AND it has a actual keyboard! not sure.
you cant play rts on that thing, no track pads means painful desktop movement, also way smaller thumbstick plus double the price for a device that's gonna be phase out with gpd win5, its cool but might not live long.
This is the first handheld to get me after the steam decks nice price. Partially sold on the nostalgia but all in when I saw the keyboard. Size wise it it’s in a switch lite case so it’s actually pretty small, it thicc tho. Also might be running a certain Zelda before it’s even out on switch lmao. Sadly it’s pretty expensive and you’ll prob need some diy skills cause customer service is a joke for repairs but you’ll have better luck getting spare parts sent. That said GPD has sold revised mobos so potentially could get a 7840u upgrade which would be a hair better than the top tier Rog Ally plus 32gb ram models vs 15gb Ally’s.

Seems like you need to buy the new Asus rog ally so you won't get screen tearing because of the freesync technology that it has, i just pre-ordered mine to play all of the old skool racing games

Handhelds like the PSP and GBA were my jam back in the day, but nowadays why not just have a good laptop and controller? My G14 cost less and is more useful, powerful, better screen and battery. I guess they're better for bathroom and bed gaming lol.

It was surprisingly refreshing seeing you play other games. But those games are ancient. I'm gonna boot up my ps2 now.
