Emily's Shocking Journey: Crohn's Reversed, FODMAPS and Fat Loss

  • Today Emily shared her story of being diagnosed with Crohn's syndrome, her struggles with managing it and the different treatments she had tried. She eventually found success with the carnivore diet and her recent blood tests show improvement in her health markers. The focus of this interview is on part two of the Emily's journey on a carnivore diet. We discuss her experience with blood tests, how she approaches the carnivore diet, and her views on FODMAP intolerance and its effects on the body.
    Emily and Coach Stephen also briefly touch on FODMAPs and how it relates to their coaching work. FODMAPs are short-chain carbohydrates found in many foods and can cause gas, bloating, and abdominal pain in people with sensitive digestive systems. The elimination of FODMAPs has been shown to improve symptoms for many people. Monosaccharides, including fruit and honey, are part of the FODMAP group and can cause issues for some individuals, especially agave which is high in fructose. This can result in digestive problems, even with small amounts.
    Emily is also back to discuss more about her weight loss journey on carnivore, as well as to address some comments regarding dairy. She talks about her weight loss progress, which has been a side benefit of carnivore, and her current weight of 168.7 pounds. Emily also shares that she has been struggling with a stall, which she believes is due to dairy in her diet. She plans to do an experiment by cutting out all dairy, including butter, and reducing her meals to two per day.

    Great story. I managed to reverse my chrons too. My doctor told me I would probably dramatically reduce my life span not listening to him. So far iv proven him wrong! Carnivore is amazing

      The carnivore diet (also called a zero carb diet) is a high-protein fad diet in which only animal products such as meat, eggs, and dairy are consumed.
      The carnivore diet is associated with pseudoscientific health claims.
      The Carnivore Diet, is nothing but a TikTok, UA-cam and Facebook Food Fad.
      It’s a diet where people are trying to “talk-it-right”…magical thinking.

    I also suffered from trying to eat higher fat. After several attempts to increase the fat I finally figured out the cause of my loose stool was the meal size, not the level of fat. I used to eat OMAD, I now eat 3 meals to accommodate the amount of food that satisfies me for the day. For context I used to eat 3 pounds of meat per day. I now eat 7 boiled eggs crushed up with my butter mayo for breakfast, two 1/4 73/27 patties( I consume the rendered fat as well) and 7 more eggs with butter mayo for my third meal. I go through at least 4 sticks of butter per week due to the butter mayo. My Ming winded point is I am able to consume so much more fat with zero digestive upset.

    OMAD with meat broths, tallow, liver and no salt has helped tremendously to heal my remaining health issues.

    Dairy, even butter stalls me. I become obsessed with it. Learning to render fat from grass fed cows. Eggs boat and constipate me. Canned meats,especially sardines, give me an autoimmune flair. I do best on Lion.

    I ve never had that with onions or garlic… I think this is about your microbiome… when the right bacteria is not there u can’t digest it well… ❤
