- Fortnite...a name that almost everyone knows and garners so many different reactions from different people. It's definitely a game that took some time to come around to, as while I used to roll my eyes at its silly dances and general absurdity, it has become one of my most played games in the last couple of years. Thanks to this change of heart, the idea of seeing a Fortnite character in Smash has gone from a grim expectation to something I actively hope for and want to see happen, and today we're taking a look at just how this iconic battle royale can work on the field of battle. So grab your squad, load up on ammo and don't forget your chug jugs, as it's time to talk about Jonesy!

Not a fan of fortnite but I can't deny the impact the game has had on gaming culture and managing to stay relevant through all these years.
Definitely deserves a mention in Smash at some point, not a roster spot, I don't think that'd go over very well, but something like a Mini Costume was something I expected for Ultimate
This moveset was so cool!!! I didn't think Jonesy would have such a fun moveset to play, but you sir managed to make him so fun! I think my favourite part in all of this is the final smash lol.
I'm more ambivalent to Fortnite than anything but the amount of work that went into this is impressive! Also being able to incorporate the Fortnite dance into your combos is a hilarious concept and honestly would've been enough to sell me on this moveset alone

Nice work! Was waiting to see what you would do. I do wonder, if we're splitting a Fortnite moveset between two fighters, if Jones is the one who should have Build since it's not necessarily something commonly connected to his character. But I guess I'll have to stick around for what else you do!
Peely sould be the zero bulid version of Jonesy
Honestly, I think Team Zero (What I think the follow up to Jonesy should be.) Should be a mish-mash of some of the more iconic Non-Jonesy skins.

Given how many games run on Unreal Engine alone, I'd be cool with a Fortnite character. I would personally have each costume be a different character but this works too.
I feel like considering how alternate universes and time jumps are a key lore bit for Fortnite (hence why Jonesy has so many different skins and incarnations) it makes sense. I feel like a Ramirez set of alts would also make sense, like the male/female Fire Emblem protagonists or Alex is to Steve
More moves should use guns like one of his smashes could be a shotgun or something or his jab being like steves but with his pickaxe

I feel like the only change would be in the alternate costume segment, instead of the sweater jones, it could be one of the more iconic versions of jonesy (Even though his name isn't in it) Rex, its been reference in the game several times like on the giant mecha and in the among us ripoff where in Jones room, he has that costume on display, along with 4 others

Jetpack, grappler, grapple glove, shockwaves, impulses and more, yet you chose a teleport. I love the rest of it but, it’s a teleport.
A teleport that also acts as a horizontal recovery option through the glider and can cause a scramble if an opponent is too close because they can be drawn into it, yes.
I feel like maybe instead of doing cuddle team leader, I would recommend either a member of the seven or Slone

Oh boi if this character has does join for next smash game then everyone’s hatred will increase further just like byleth joins smash.
I’d say it would probably be closer to Steve’s reception.
