- After nearly five years of hard work and dedication that has only continued to get better over time, we have finally reached the 50th moveset of my Challenger Concept series. It's a time to look back on how far this series has come, all while looking to where it will go from this point onward, and there's a lot of notable milestones that are present in this video. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Mega Man X series, with X himself having been planned to get a video as far back as 2019, so the fact that it has all come together here on the 50th video in the series makes it all the more impactful to me.
I thank you for watching and supporting this series, and I promise...we're only getting started. For now, let's take a look at how this legendary Maverick Hunter can work as a fighter should he ever be chosen to join the battle in Super Smash Bros.

This is a seriously well-done moveset, especially with the "Charge Weapons" gimmick providing so much for it! The only thing I will say is that Soul Body is Split Mushroom's power and not Cyber Peacock's (his was Aiming Laser/Rakuhouha, but they are both _X4_ Mavericks) and the charged Triad Thunder (Lightning Flash) could also pass well as Spark Mandrill's Electric Spark from _X1_ (due to it being a punch that traces thunderbolts along the floor). But other than that, it's all pretty much perfect for X!
Welp. You did it. A moveset 3-4 years in the making finally being released to the public; it being the 50th one, no less.
This proves it. You ARE the best UA-cam Smash moveset creator. Congratulations.
I'm so happy for you right now, and that's because you managed to make 50 movesets. That's an achievement in it of itself. I remember meeting your channel thanks to a tweet by Pizza where he shared your first Doom Slayer video, and from there, I never stopped watching you. And I'm so glad to finally see X's moveset be completed. Can't wait for what other surprises you have in store for us. ;)

Your videos are way too high quality for your channel to be this small. Amazing stuff. I've thought about X in smash a lot and my dream moveset is really similar!
Also, is #52 Zero just the X version, just the Zero version (likely not), or a combination of both the X and Zero versions? Both versions of Zero are pretty unique in execution due to the differing game engines, so I can see separate videos being made for the two of them.

So, if I'm understanding it right:
Standard:
Jab / F-Tilt: X Buster
Jab / F-Tilt: Charged Variation: X1 Charge Shot Lvl 3 (color reminds me of MvC:I)
U-Tilt: Boomerang Cutter (X1), but based on MvC:I's version.
U-Tilt Charge Variation: 2-Input Version of Regular Boomerang Cutter (X1). Functions like doing MvC:I's interpretation twice, which is what he can do in MvC:I.
D-Tilt: Spinning Blade (X3), but there's only one blade and the blade doesn't move up.
D-Tilt Charge Variation: Charged Spinning Blade (X3), but without the ability to change the angle of the blade.
Dash: Charged Tornado Fang (X3), but without the ability to stick to walls.
D-Tilt Charged Variation: Regular Tornado Fang (X3), but with only the option to shoot one.
Smash:
F-Smash: Magma Blade (X6), but just the blade part.
F-Smash Charged Variation: Regular Magma Blade (X6), but just one fireball in front of X instead of two. Damage is inverted as X6 has the fireball do more damage in general against bosses.
U-Smash: Rising Fire (X4).
U-Smash Charged Variation: Basically Rising Fire (X4), but based on MvC:I's rendition of the move as a Charged Rising Fire in X4 also makes X launch upwards since it's a Shoryuken.
D-Smash: Double Cyclone (X4, but the cyclones don't rise upwards)
D-Smash Charged Variation: Completely new attack that is functionally identical to Volt Tornado from X7.
Aerial:
Nair: X Buster
Nair Charged Variation: X1 Charge Shot Lvl 3 (color reminds me of MvC:I)
Fair: Fire Wave (X1). Basically if the button was tapped for a bit. Should it be able to persist if the button is held like in X1?
Fair Charged Variation: Completely new attack that sorta functions like a cross of MM2's Atomic Fire (big fireball) and Zero 2's Laser Shot EX Skill (piercing).
Uair: Storm Tornado (X1), but it goes upwards like a Charged Storm Tornado.
Uair Charged Variation: Completely new attack that is also functionally identical to Volt Tornado from X7.
Bair: Named Shotgun Ice (X1), but functionally like Charged Frost Shield (X3) prior to it detaching.
Bair Charged Variation: Either a localized version of the small shards from uncharged Shotgun Ice (X1) recoil, a variation of Triple Shot (Z2), a variation of Blizzard Arrow (Z3), or a variation of Ice Javelin (Z4) as I'm not fully sure what was meant by the wave here.
Dair: Ground Dash (X6), but aimed downwards and never leaving his cannon.
Dair Charged Variation: Ground Dash (X6), but just aimed down.
Grab/Throws:
Grab: Strike Chain (X2). Is this also a Z-Air?
Pummel: Kneeing (basically MvC:I kicks)
F-Throw: Soul Body (X4, but based on the X5 Boss Fight version since it's just a shoulder check).
U-Throw: Wind Spiral (X5)
B-Throw: Magnet Mine (X2), but with forced immediate detonation and lack of aiming. Functionally identical to Flash Bomb (MM8), Blast Shot (Z2), Burst Shot (Z3), or Burning Shot (Z4).
D-Throw: Spin Wheel (X2)
Specials:
Neutral Special: Sonic Slicer (X2)
Neutral Special Charged Variation: Charged Sonic Slicer (X2), but only 3 shots instead of 5 and they never go back down, which makes it act more like the MvC:I version of the move.
Side Special: Frost Shield (X3), but also based on MvC:I. When it lands on the ground, it's also a reflector.
Side Special Charged Variation: Charged Frost Shield (X3) mixed with Ice Wall (MM&B) and Blizzard Buffalo's attack from his boss fight.
Up Special: Charged Speed Burner (X2), but functionally like Fox's Fire Fox from the Smash Bros. series. From the X games, it's like the Mach Dash from the Blade Armor (X6)
Up Special Charged Variation: Charged Speed Burner (X2), but 3 times.
Down Special: Triad Thunder (X3), but it automatically spins instead of inverting upon repeated button presses (like in X3).
Down Special Charged Variation: Charged Triad Thunder (X3), but it also has a diving version when done in the air.
Final Smash: Basically his MvC:I Level 3 Hyper Combo mixed with the fact that he can shoot out of both buster cannons (like in X2 or X3).
Breakdown by Games (treating normal and charged combined, so each weapon only counts once [besides 3 new attacks created just for Smash]):
X1: 5 (X-Buster as the Charge Shot is X1 Level 3, Boomerang Cutter, Fire Wave, Storm Tornado, and Shotgun Ice)
X2: 5 (Strike Chain, Magnet Mine, Spin Wheel, Sonic Slicer, and Charged Speed Burner)
X3: 4 (Spinning Blade, Tornado Fang, Frost Shield, and Triad Thunder)
X4: 4 (Rising Fire, Double Cyclone, Soul Body, and Ultimate Armor)
X5: 1 (Wind Spiral)
X6: 2 (Magma Blade and Ground Dash)
X7: 0
X8: 0
Original: 3 (though Vulcan Fire is a cross between Atomic Fire from MM2 and Laser Shot from Z2 while both Emerald Cyclone and Violet Squall are fancier versions of Volt Tornado from X7)
Have you considered making some of the costumes based on each of his armors? Having more armors in the costumes would spice up his wardrobe a bit more. X Fire from Command Mission would add a really stunning Black and Gold color scheme while having a cool design, for example (same with Shadow Armor).

2:18 wanna go out on a limb and say that no, Rock would actually be considered as X's BIG brother not his little brother, since he was made longgg before X.
In a sense, yes, but I'm saying it in less of a "He came first" context and more of a "He's far more advanced" context.

Goodness this was an amazing moveset video FeliciaFan! Definitely worth the years long wait, I couldn't be more happier with this especially as a Mega Man fan! I love how ALL of this moveset uses Maverick Weapons, even his normals! Again bravo and I especially love the charging mechanic that's present all throughout! And man... I cannot wait to see what you do with Zero next time! I just really hope you stick purely to Mega Man X stuff for him because I don't like movesets where they combine stuff from both the X and Zero series, it just doesn't work in my opinion. I would rather those 2 be separate characters since both games series have enough material for 2 different Zero movesets. Still I definitely can't wait to see your next moveset videos!

You keep referring to Megaman as X's "little brother." But since X came second, wouldn't HE be the little brother?
i must say you got a better job with X here than with your Zero video as you had way more creative takes with his main source material rather than basing him off an appearance at another fighting game spin off (TBF Xs only been on MvsC-I) but one criticismo that i got make is that you used way too many fire based moves on his set, maybe try keep only one and use more variety of weapon archetypes he has in the series, for example having X8 shining ray or X5 wing spiral as an up smash instead, down smash could be a mini version of X6 ray arrow or X3 triad thunder where he punches the ground and releases either dual laser geysers or electric electric spheres around him respectively.
One minor nitpick, you said that his forward throw is from cyber peacock when the weapon soul body is from split mushroom. Cyber peacocks weapon is aiming laser
Solid moveset, but you're missing the best weapon he ever got. Chameleon Sting.
i'm surprised you didn't use giga crash as his final smash

It's such a shame that they it won't have the Mega man X Truforce as Skin 6 & The Kai X as Skin 7 If it had those skins in smash bros ultimate then It would have been so cool to the players that loves Mega Man & I'm not being rude or anything I'm only saying that It would had been so cool in game
