I show how I cut holes for can lights when my Milwaukee adjustable hole saw broke on me. You could also use a jigsaw to cut the circle if you were careful.

👍 Yeah, I haven't ever had to cut holes in wood with a router, but this could work for that too. The Milwaukee adjustable hole saw was fine until I hit that screw. For someone that doesn't know what they're doing though, I can see it grabbing and running off with them.
