They get cleaner and more refined each time. Really like the stitching update, bluetooth audio and hidden HVAC venting.

So much nicer than any new truck. Much better layout and classy looks. Chevy should just sell improved versions of their trucks from the 50s-72.

Back in 1987, I bought a 1955 F-100 from my oldest brother. (He was a master auto mechanic) for $500. He installed a 1967 283 cu.in engine, two speed auto trans. Straight headers.Tested On Super Seven, Vermont, back in the day. At 100 MPH she would track with her straight front axil so well I could let go of the steering wheel for more than a mile. What a fun tough truck. Drove it to work for three years.

Original retro starter was on the floor, just right of the gas pedal and was never on the dash. I own a bone stock 54 that was actually assembled at the old GM plant in LA. California. That being said, I'd still love a Thrift master by you in a derelict version with all the modern upgrades. Nice work.

Ever thought of using rift sawn wood instead of board sawn lumber for the wooden beds? The straighter grain would look more premium, and it is more stable over time.

I subscribed tonight after seeing the little bumpside four by four ford, a nineteen seventy model an that was my first new truck so was drawn like a fly to it. Alass, I had this truck as a kid and it wasn't real old then ... say ten years about then and still lots of life in her. I soon graduated to the nineteen fifty one one ton and it had all the bells and whistles of its time. I used it hauling firewood and dirt for my neighbors to earn the money for a house first I figured and I did buy a home and paid for it in cash money as I held two steady jobs then and earned just as much as the working men. At thirteen, painfully skinny, but willow tree strong from packing horses with my dad and another man on the cascade mountains in washington. That was nineteen sixty and I was skinny but pushing the six foot mark and from experimenting with the razor shaving. I wish that I only knew what I know now about hair!! LOL, I have worked my entire life as I was held back from school with issues not to be discussed here. Nineteen sixty seven saw me going to vietnam and that is another trip I wish I missed. I had a lot of the nice rigs of the time, how was I to know they would become collectors... we joked about it. The one ton I mentioned was from the bank and only had eleven thousand miles on it when I got it. What I would trade to have that very same truck back again
