I love how in the TWD show, they had Rick wear western boots and carry a Colt Python, whereas in the comic, he wore standard police issue boots and carried a Glock or some other police issue semi auto. I also love how in the show he took his iconic jacket off a killer and thief he killed, but in the comic it was his sheriff jacket.
It is nowhere close to realistic. Do really think any sheriff in Wyoming encounters as much crime as the show depicts? Not even close. It bet no Wyoming sheriff draws his gun while on duty in his whole career more than Longmire does in one season. Same with Yellowstone. Not even close to realistic. No ranchers go around shooting machine guns and killing multiple people. It is more like The Godfather set to ranching. Even the theme music sounds like Godfather music. But they are great shows none the less.
Ive been on the hunt for Anton chigurh’s alligator boots from no country for old men for about three years now still no luck any leads would mean a lot
They were custom alligators made by Lucchese. About 90% of the custom Western boots you see in films are supplied by Lucchese. Why? Because they do exceptional work in a short turnaround and for a reasonable price, and have never requested a wardrobers credit or special mention like big companies do. Costume designers HATE sharing credit with a corporation, since the designer alters and customizes the garments so much, it's really not fair to say "costume supplied by Wrangler." They go after companies like Lucchese or Eddie Bauer, who sell at cost and don't require credit or on-screen branding.
Hey Jeremiah, great video!!! Thanks to you I just ordered the Justin Shawnee. I agree with you regarding Kevins boots. But hey, even if not, they look amazing!! I needed a pair of beaters so thanks so much my friend as you made my day!!!
Have a pair of the Shawnees and they’re super comfortable. The distressed look they come with immediately grabbed my attention; Dutton factor is an added bonus!
It’s a relief knowing they didn’t actually wear the Yellowstone line, considering the Yellowstone line was limited time only. May be worth good money one day though for anyone who has a pair just for collection
I also have a pair of shawnees. So comfortable. Perfect heel height. They can be plainly seen in the very 1st scene on the 1st episode of Yellowstone where John has to shoot the horse after the bad wreck. He bends down to pick up his hat and there they are. Awesome/ simple boots. Costner is the man.
Do an episode on Longmire! Everybody in the cast wears cowboy boots. Would really like to know what Lucian Connally wears those boots are a piece of art.
I only wear Lucchese boot and I can tell you the ostrich leg boot was the most comfortable boot I ever had on my foot and I have 13 pair of boots. It was my favorite
@@JeremiahCraig yes they are. Anderson Beane is comfortable to but I like a snip toe and most of theirs are square toe. I'm gonna try Black Jack custom next. Never had a pair. Have you ever wore Black Jack.
A high heel pull on boot is probably the last thing I'd wear when walking long distances are required. Nick's Handmade low heel lug sole would be better.
I remember some other OLDER western shows and always wondered what types of boots Roy Rogers wore, And what type Doug McClure wore as (Trappas) in the Virginian. EXCELLENT discussion, Jeremiah, 👏🤠👍
Rick has the best style in the show, imho. The boots, the shirt, the jacket... I also liked Negan's style a lot, with the engineer boots and the leather jacket, but Rick beats him any day of the week. One of the first movies that impressed me immensely as a kid was "For a few dollars more". I loved the scene where Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef tread on each other's boots, as a form of d*ck measuring. And ever since I love cowboy boots, but here in Europe they are not easy to find and usually are either too squared or too pointy. I also loved the contrast between Clint's beige suede (?) boots and Lee's black shiny boots. I would like to see a video on those.
You’ll also find a lot of the other characters on Yellowstone actually wear Double H boots, can literally see the Double H on the soles in a lot of scenes..
Can you do a review on the boots from the movie No Country For Old Men..if you’ve seen it you’ll remember there’s a few references to cowboys boots. Both the bad guy and good guy wearing them
Justified is the show that got me into boots. I think anteater was only in season 1. I found the costume designer talk about how they dressed him. Both the anteater and ostrich leg are in black cherry.
ARE YOU SERIOUS BLACK CHERRY???????? I was COMPLETELY OBSESSED with Justified (maybe too much…) and I always read they were cigar brown! I even went so far as to shoo as CLOSE as I could to Raylan’s wardrobe in the show; lots of flannel and henley’s, the horseshoe ring, and I bought a Stetson Marshal Hat that they sold on the Justified website! The hat on the show was a Barron but I didn’t know that until later…ALSO, stocked up on Levi’s 501 jeans since all he wore. Can you post a link to where Patia Prouty says black cherry???
He wore the Anteater boots in season 2 too. The ostrich leg didn't come in until season 3 when Raylan started showing his boots off a lot more. Amazing show and absolutely fantastic books!
Great video! Did you ever do a video on the boots worn in Brokeback Mountain? Jake G.'s black boots are so cool I really liked the campfire scene those boots are awesome. Thanks
Great video. Missed the live show…dang! Great shots of boots! Rust to Riches on Netflix- the deal guy Sean sported lizard boots almost all season. Said the were northern Canadian lizard (tongue in cheek), but maybe they are Boulets? Got made fun of a little on the show, but said they cost $600. Curious as to who made those?
The arait roper is the best walking and working around boot. I have two pair and love them. I've beat those boots until there almost tore all to peices. But hey 70.00 to get them restored was worth it
Yellowstone is awesome! RIP is the man!! He’ll take his boots off and beat the snot outta anyone who double crosses the Duttons!! Lol loved Longmire but that show has nothing on Yellowstone! Such a well written series!
@@aliengerder9479 because this is a UA-cam video about boots! Lol and why not he’s used a branding iron to beat up bikers, and he took a guys pistol from him and hit him with it! Rip will use whatever’s necessary to get the job done…hopefully he gets to beat that punk Jamie’s ass this season coming up! Lol
Ok the boots the great mr Costner is wearing in that picture are my favorite pair that I own those are the justin ctackes bent rail small square toes and these are actually some of the softest and most comfortable boots I own
Justified, Longmire and Yellowstone are my favorite TV Shows, So you can guess where my interests are at.and as I've said before I'm an Aussie. Of course I love your show too or I would'nt be on here now.Good on Ya Jeremiah.
Does anyone know what boots Wayne wears in the show Letterkenny? Specifically episode 2 when he beats up Rat Ass. They look like a worked in work boot.
Yeah, I was kinda thinking that myself. Hopefully they’ll start making a Yellowstone line as well since they are really pushing out Yellowstone branded merchandise this year.
Hello! I have developed a issue with my boot and I would like some advice you or others may give. I have my self a pair of Justin's boots model 7318. bought around June of last year. 2-3 days ago I had to do a long walk and on the inside of the boot, at the heel there's this thin soft patch of leather I believe it is, and it's Ripped. So whenever I walk it feels like I'm stepping on a rock, or piece of string, I originally wanted to cut that piece off but Im not too sure how too, and my mom said it would be safer to Not do that in the chance I could make the issue worse. So should I let it naturally fall off or should I hire a professional to cut and replace that patch of leather. I wish I can show a picture so I can better explain my issue. Sorry for the long rant, and thanks for any tips or recommendations I may get!
No worries! Sounds like you just need new heel pads. You should get them both replaced so that one doesn't feel too different from the other. Go to a cobbler/shoe repair place and ask if they can put in new heel pads. It shouldn't cost a lot
Just an FYI, in season 4 John Dutton wears a ostrich shorty by Burn 1876. Taylor Sheridan spoke on it. I'd prepare your wallet before you look those up. He wears the black color.
Hay from Canada. I know you like Boulet (so do I, I have 3 pair) Check out "Hart Land" a CBC produced series, one of Canada's longest running shows. TWD: doubling the price of guns and boots no longer made (yeah I know CZolt makes a new python)
He carried an H&K Mk23 in the comics
You are right ricks cowboy look is why better
Rick is the goat!!!
Seeing cowboy boots in the film "No Country For Old Men" is the reason why I am in the market for cowboy boots 😂
Longmire is legendary. Simply the best and most profound modern western show.
It’s good but unrealistic
I respect your opinion but please watch Justified
@Jeremiah it was also directed to the original commenter, but yes it’s really special watch it!

I love how ostrich leg looks like dinosaur boots!
@@terrellmabrito They do look very prehistoric lol
@@teaganbowers9379 I agree. Great show, I was broken when it finished.
I hated the ostrich boots and the anteaters weren't much better. Plus, in most of the shows his jeans were two inches or more too short.
Yeah it was awesome. I didn't watch the last new season though.
Freakin' awesome! We need more cowboy boots on TV!
just got my first cowboy boots last year...pair of Tecovas Cartwright and love them.

The lucchese he wore on justified i believe was called the anderson. It was full osterich leg upper and lower. Theyre also about $1800
I'll just stick with my Tony Llama ostrich boots.
