So…based on this video I went and tried on some Wrangler Retro Slim Boot Cut jeans today. I couldn’t imagine that I would like them better than my Levi 505s. Man…I have never been more wrong about something. These jeans are amazing. They have a bit of stretch to them which makes them really comfortable. Thanks Jeremiah.
@dogwithavlog wrangler arnt made like they used to be. I've worn them for the past 20 yrs and the last 2 months I've had 3 pairs rip less than a few hrs wearing them.
You dont gotta be a cowboy to wear cowboy boots. Cowboy boots have been popular for casual wear since the 60s. Wearing them with sweatpants is really goofy though.
@@coke8077 agreed with you on the sweatpants part but don’t try and pretend your a cowboy and dress like a Edgar. That shit pisses me off. And the only reason people started wearing cowboy boots for casual wear was because of the spaghetti westerns that were popular at the time. People are just larping at that point imo
After trying the Cinch, Ariat, and different Retros, I have come full circle back to where I started , with the Wrangler Rigid 13MWZ , not prewashed. They fit me right and are perfect with boots. Wrangler also makes a boot cut /cowboy cut ( 945 I think) but not a fan. The 13MWZ ‘s you can still buy for $29.
I like the Wrangler retro slim boot and the relaxed boot. I just hate how the eventually split along the back pocket rivet. But just picked some up for 30 bucks at tractor supply this week.
No Levi 527! My husbands favorite, although he rarely tries anything else. I will show him this video! You are a joy to watch. You have such a cool, kind spirit.
I love the 527 too! It was my go to jean for the longest time. I did a video about them early on when I started doing jeans videosin 2020. They've gotten better since but here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/qyAVHOD0XrE/v-deo.html
Lee Jeans were founded in 1889 and are nearly as iconic a brand as Levis. Wrangler came out in 1904 and both Lee and Wrangler are owned by Kontoor. While I’m not a big fan of Lee’s lower-end stuff, their 101 line is as iconic and good as anything on the market (although pricey). Yes their jeans are legendary and have been worn in multiple westerns by a myriad of actors from old Hollywood. James Dean wore Lee Riders in ‘Giant’ and ‘Rebel without a cause.’ Laurence Harvey, Paul Newman, Kirk Douglas all sported the Rider jacket in old westerns and Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen regularly wore Lee. The good thing about Wrangler is they offer a low-cost rigid raw jean where Lee does not. But Lee has always been considered as part of the “Big Three” with Levi’s and Wrangler being the other two.
I bought a brand called RESISTOL. The jeans are very premium quality, they fit well, the zipper is a very chunky YKK with a brushed finish that I've never seen before in other boot cut / brand. They are 100% cotton and they where around 90 dollars. What are your thoughts on this subject? I've heard this brand has some history as well.
I've been wearing jeans for 60+ years. Wore 501s as a kid stepped up to Lee's in the 70s and moved on to wranglers mwz noted in your vid. They are great pair of Jeans. Lots of wear in them and made for boots. As I hit my 50s I slid into some relaxed fit Wrangler George Straits love this Jean. Fits well looks great and lasts. I've tried the various Cinch labels but I hate that their pockets are undersized and the short zipper making a challenge to water the horse if you catch my drift. They also don't seem to last as long as my wranglers. Given I've spent my fair share in rodeo arenas and horseback at age 68 I'm set in my ways. Wranglers over a nice pair of Lucheses is the only way to roll.
"Hi Jeremiah, I personally think wrangler jeans and stretch jeans are the best for cowboy boots and like I said before, I love your pirokou cowboy boots, boots that really look American!"
I'm 73 years old, 6"i" and 230 pounds with knee issues and have a stomach but no butt. Buying jeans that won't fall down is a problem. I recently bought a pair of Wrangler slim fit that stretch/flex and after an hour or so I was walking around pulling them up. This is a problem with most of the jeans I buy. I refuse to pay over 40 bucks for jeans.. When I was young like you guys I loved my 501 Levi's and wore them until they ripped apart. I wear boots and love the look with boot fit. I guess I'll need a tighter belt or suspenders or loose 30 pounds and get skinny again. I remember "conditioning" my 501s. You bought them and inch larger in the waist and two inches in length and after putting them on you would sit in the bathtub with hot water, wring them out and then to the washing machine (on hot) and then dry them. Next cut off all labels (belt and rear pocket), then sandpaper the seams to rough 'em up, Finally, wear the heck out of them and over time they would become butter soft until the butt, crotch, and knees wore out. This took about a year or so for me. I'm still on a jean hunt and liked the video.
I think your idea about losing that weight will help a lot! I've been skinny most of my life but gained a "measley" 7 pounds over the summer, and it definitely impacted the way my pants fit me. If you can get into good shape, good tone, slimmer figure, then you'll find most things for you better.
Dude I absolutely love the GEORGE Wal Mart brand bootcuts! I usually wear heavy 16 custom made for me jeans to work in but for bummin around and running errands these jeans are great. Only like a 9oz denim but 3 pairs for less than 45 bux and even if you go throw all three in a year you’re still $25 less than one pair of Levi’s 527 boots! And they aren’t even garunteed to last a year. Plus they just look perfect on my body type and with the kind of boots I prefer. Though they do have some stretch in the waist so I recommend 2-3 sizes smaller. I wear a 33 but I get those in a 30 waist and they are perfect! Thanks for throwing them on the list!
I only wear Carhartt jeans now, but I'm the past I've work George brand. Surprisingly they actually good good with my different boots. And $12 here at Walmart in British Columbia
Wore Levi 501’s till my late 60’s. Then tried Wrangler 13MWZ stiff. So for last 10yrs I’ve worn the 13’s with my boots. And I always get compliments. And glad I switched since Levi’s and I split at the “Y”. Love your boot videos and look to get more traditional boots as long as I’m still kicking!
The wrangler retros are some I found earlier this year, still my favorite so far for goin out. I like my carhartt and dickies when I need something more rugged.
I've been wearing Levi 501's for 50 years first in 30/30 then 32/30 and now in 34/30 although I can still fit into the 32's at my 155 lbs. weight at 5'9". My boots are Tony's, Double H, Ariat, and Doc Martens. The Tony Lamas are the classiest, the Ariat's are working mans, the Double H's are grab and go with style, and the Doc's are the most comfortable with Seattle grunge out the ying yang. Honestly I love and wear the Doc's the most. That's just what I wear with a Buck 110 or 112 on my belt. Mahalo
After using Cinch Jeans for the last 12+ years, been on and done everything in them, all the way up to riding bucking horses as well as Break Horses, I have no complaints about cinch, they seem to stand up to many everyday uses even working, I don’t mind paying 80 a pair at all.
For my cinch white labels I like how they fit and they are comfortable, I haven’t had a pair completely bust on me yet but they feel like they are wearing somewhat fast and I have probably only had them about 5 months or so
Yeah they do make great jeans up in Denver where there made and manufactured they have an outlet that sells jeans with flaws or just have some stitching messed up for half the price. Personally I think 80 for a pair is too much but when I can get them for half that price I absolutely love them.
I wear Cinch Silver label for everyday with a heavy starch and Cinch Ian with a medium starch for going out. Much better fit for my body than the white label
I am very late to the game but I will say that 5.11 Defender flex jeans are my go to always. They are comfortable, well made, and have 2 extra pockets sewn between your front and rear pockets that can hold a standard size AR magazine!
I always rewatch these videos and now know why I picked up a pair of Wrangler Slim Straight jeans! It's from this! I loved that pair, they are slim on the thigh but straight for boots. Absolutely love em! Thanks for the great information JC!
At work I like to wear my Blue Mountain canvas utility pants - relaxed fit. I got them at Tractor supply and for the price they are surprisingly well made.
My go to jeans are Wrangler cowboy cut and retros, but my favorite jeans to wear with my boots are Arizona boot cut and Arizona Straight cut jeans. They don’t ride up and they are great for bigger guys.
Awesome video! Wrangler retros are what I'm rocking! I even rock them with clean white sneakers BUT, have specific pairs just for shoes that are a size shorter in length since they can't stack like with boots. The non-jean retros in black and khaki are very comfortable and versatile. 🤘
Yeah I wear the wrangler retro slim boot and relaxed boot. I also like that they make my weird size of 35x30 😂. I just don't like how the first place they split open is along the back pocket rivet.
Im an arborist. I work in the office and outside. I tried the Walmart George Bootcut for $15.00 after your review and like them. My favorite jean is the Buffalo Davit Bitton straight six.
Wrangler Advanced comfort cowboy cut. By far the best jeans ever in my opinion. I’ve tried them all and none of them look and fit like those. Check ‘em out when you get a chance!
WRANGLER TEXAS, all day, every day! Enough high waisted for bending over and standing up, can handle a big thick belt, and had enough room in the make parts area. Nice pockets to. The guys at the ranch here, 67% wears just this model...84% wear only/mostly WRANGLER because it's the only jeans that doesn't tear up after 1 week, like most city/hipster brands like Levi, Aviator, Hugo boss, Diesel, GAP, Ariat, G-star. 1 pair goes around 4-8 weeks here with the cowboys, depending on season.
Appears you are a big Levi's fan. Wore the 501 in high school with boots. Gravitated to the Wrangler brand for many decades. Older now and the Wranglers are to tight. The relax fit are to relaxed. Cinch in my brand now. The Green, Black and White labels are my favorite. Looking forward to winning those Luchese boots. Happy Holidays.
When it comes to my jeans for wearing with my cowboy boots I always go for the Wranglers 13MWZ boot cut and each pair I get a year to 2 years worth of wear out of them and then toss them and replace with new pairs and have been wearing them since I was a kid
Don’t sleep on the George Jeans. Bought a couple pairs a few years back as cheap work pants while working at a diesel garage. Fast forward to now and they are still going strong. Surprised me for sub $10 jeans at my local Walmart
Love to get you take on some of the Kimes Ranch jeans. I'm waiting to drop some LBS before I invest. 501's have always been my go-to because they fit my body the best. 505's and 517s are good as well.
Brother, I REALLY appreciate that you say these are your favorite and why. I HATE when people try to tell me what is the "BEST" or "COOL", etc. Thank you for your humble and honest reviews. Have you tried the Wrangler Rock 47 (for me, relaxed fit because of my body type). They "punch above their weight class" for price. Nice channel
I still have 4 pair of George jeans. Have been washed over 25 times and they are still good as new. I wear them to work most everyday and never had any rips or issues. They hold up great and look better than my wrangler on me. $15 is a steal for these. I can't see myself paying $80 for a pair of jeans, but if money's no object I say go for it..Those ariats do like sharp .You got great reviews. Keep it up bro.
Ariat definitely makes my favorite jeans, although for my body the m4 fits me the best, some classic wranglers are always great but it looks like I definitely need to try the Texas Jeans cowboy cut!
My Ariat M4 Bootcut and Wrangler Retro Low rise Bootcut are by far My 2 favorite jeans. I'm 6'5" and have a hard time finding the right fit let alone the length. I LOVE MY ARIAT JEANS and Ariat boots!
Bought 2 pair of wrangler relaxed boot jeans at Walmart, stop! Lasted 3 months and split in the butt pocket area, they are garbage! The Levi boot cut have lasted me more than a year and wore out at the knees and the butt was still good! Thanks Levi for quality!
I've been wearing cowboy boots for 4 decades. Levi 501's over the entire time frame. Add a nice belt, a form fitting t shirt and a black leather cafe jacket for the real look.
@Jeremiah, You got me on this jean video. I have a major concern with belt loops, especially the front. Not being too far apart and also compatible with a real belt and also a real belt buckle. Made in USA is also great. New follow, thanks.
My go tos are usuall -Levis 501 original -Buffalo Six-x -Buffalo x-Driven The Levis win for longevity The Buffalo jeans have a much more fashion denim fabric, but for daily wear they work well for me and my stupid build.
Great info on the many different jeans out there. I am 6'2" 215# with a 66 y/o body. That being said I have always worn Levi's. Tried the "517 Boot Cut" and felt like my man bits were being strangled. Also tight in the seat and a little to low rise for me. I have been wearing "Western Fit" jeans. They are more of a "Relaxed" fit. They fit my size 15 boots well and are very comfortable to wear all day. Interested in your thoughts on these jeans. Thanks for all your UA-cam videos on boots, etc.
I've been thinking about trying those Levi's western fit jeans. Thanks for sharing this with me I'll try to get to them next year! I appreciate you watching! Cheers
It would be great if in these Jean reviews you could include what they look like with belts, Thicker/slimmer belts and what they look like tucked in (with belt)
Not gonna lie my dude, this video has been extremely helpful for those of us who don’t have large shopping centers near. I buy most of my stuff online, and it’s a crap-shoot. Only thing I’d like to see from your format, is when you go through the Rundown section, can you start adding leg opening measurements? A lot of companies are now starting to add that info, because anything over 18” on me look like I’m wearing bell bottoms. 🤙🏼
My top 3 #9 - Levis #6 - Texas Jeans #7 - Lee’s Btw, we rocked Lee jeans decades ago when they were a big thing, I mean a very big thing in the city. I still wear them today.
There are 3 things Igorot people love: denims(stf), leather boots and country music. I just realized Igorots of Northern Philippines are well and heavily influenced by Americans during the colonization era. Joke says we ain’t Filipinos, we are brown Americans.
I couldn't agree more. For boot cut jeans you will not find better than the Levi's 517. If you are slimmer or like a little tighter jean with boot cut then try the 527, they're great too. These two are like comparing the 501 to the 505, you're getting a little more room. 505 and 517 = more room.
My 517s are the ones I wear with my boots. They are less flared than some of the other " boot" jeans but they do go over my boots well. The biggest drawback is their price.
I recommend visiting Denver where the cinch jeans are made and manufactured. They sell clothing with small flaws for half the price so you can find some jeans for 20 to 40 dollars it’s incredibly worth it.
I just picked up a pair of levi’s 527, definitely a different feel than what i’m used to with my slim straight 513’s, but the 513 doesn’t work for me with boots. Maybe they aren’t long enough. The 527 feels a bit bell-bottom ish but i like them. They’re very comfortable. Who knew shopping for jeans to go with boots would be such a project lol Great video!
I just discovered your channel, Jeremiah! It's awesome and informative. I love Levis 527 the best and I saw your video on those jeans. Have you done a video on Wrangler Wrancher Dress Jeans? Those are my go to for dress pants with cowboy boots. Best look ever in my opinion.
Fun fact, my wrangler jeans ripped 2 giant tears down the ass and my George Walmart bootcuts are still going strong. I might just have to cycle all my jeans out and just buy George, they are cheap, comfortable, stretchy, and so far super durable
Finally, solving my real-world problems. Exactly what I needed.
Yes! Thanks for watching!
Yep been having this drama all week and thought I need too look up some jeans found this video now I can go hunting for some that will work
Fricking best channel on UA-cam. Not a single video is dull. Jeremiah Craig is a national treasure. Country-on brother ✌️

I like levis 517 wramgler,

Levis 541s really work for my Dan Post "Franklin" style boots. Although the 541s dont last long with use, they definitely look good with boots.

So happy you like Texas Jeans man! I really don't know how they make them for that price here in the US. It''s so awesome!

The wrangler 13 review is so true, I'll be trying to reach down for things and I notice! 🤣
I go with the George straight wrangler 13mwz cowboy cut they run about 50 to 55 dollars
I wear Cinch Silver label for everyday with a heavy starch and Cinch Ian with a medium starch for going out. Much better fit for my body than the white label
Great review. The Levi 517 is by far my fav. boot cut jean. Thanks for sharing!
Rock and roll denim! Super comfortable and fit perfectly over cowboy boots.
I would never wear my rock and rolls for work, those are too nice and to pricey to mess up haha they are my going out jeans

I have about 20 pairs of Levi 514s, some of the are over 10 years old. Best jeans imo 👌
Levis 501 are my go to, lots of compliments when i wear em with my vintage Justins
Love my Wrangler Retros but you must do a video on Rock and Roll Denim jeans. Quality and comfort is second to none
You got it! I wanted to this year but Cinch was first in that price range. Rock and Roll on the list for 2022!
The Wrangler Pro-Rodeo is tops still, wore them when I was a Chute hand and still do at times these days.
I always rewatch these videos and now know why I picked up a pair of Wrangler Slim Straight jeans! It's from this! I loved that pair, they are slim on the thigh but straight for boots. Absolutely love em! Thanks for the great information JC!

Ariat jeans in my personal opinion are the best in the market now I use them and I believe they're the best
I've put the George pants thru Arizona summers working outside. The thin flexible material make them very comfortable and durable.
Don’t sleep on the George Jeans. Bought a couple pairs a few years back as cheap work pants while working at a diesel garage. Fast forward to now and they are still going strong. Surprised me for sub $10 jeans at my local Walmart
I wear Wrangler 20x jeans and shirts with Ariat boots. Always have. Always will.
Love to get you take on some of the Kimes Ranch jeans. I'm waiting to drop some LBS before I invest. 501's have always been my go-to because they fit my body the best. 505's and 517s are good as well.
Bud, you have got to try the Tecovas Slim Jean, my favorite boot jean right now.
Pause at 8:36 👌🏻that’s the look right there buddy
Brother, I REALLY appreciate that you say these are your favorite and why. I HATE when people try to tell me what is the "BEST" or "COOL", etc. Thank you for your humble and honest reviews. Have you tried the Wrangler Rock 47 (for me, relaxed fit because of my body type). They "punch above their weight class" for price. Nice channel
them piston boots and brown leather ones are fire 🔥🤟🏼🗽
I still have 4 pair of George jeans. Have been washed over 25 times and they are still good as new. I wear them to work most everyday and never had any rips or issues. They hold up great and look better than my wrangler on me. $15 is a steal for these. I can't see myself paying $80 for a pair of jeans, but if money's no object I say go for it..Those ariats do like sharp .You got great reviews. Keep it up bro.
Wrangler retro is comfy for sure but i ended up tearing a hole in them on wire while my regular wranglers took them just fine
Ariat definitely makes my favorite jeans, although for my body the m4 fits me the best, some classic wranglers are always great but it looks like I definitely need to try the Texas Jeans cowboy cut!
Levi 517 Boot Cut wore em since High School am 67 now.
My all time fav is Arita M6, Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore. Fortunately I stocked up before they sold out.
Levis 527 makes stretchy bootcut jeans. In my opinion these are the best.
My Ariat M4 Bootcut and Wrangler Retro Low rise Bootcut are by far My 2 favorite jeans. I'm 6'5" and have a hard time finding the right fit let alone the length. I LOVE MY ARIAT JEANS and Ariat boots!
I like the James Cody look. Lol. Didn't know they made jeans but also liked the Ariats
Same here and Levi's 501 for just about every kind of footwear or Levis 618 bootcut if you can find any. Wrangle 936 instead of the 13MWZ, that's it.
Wrangler retro slim straight fan here!
Wrangler 936 rigid denim cowboy cut slim fit & late 80’s Levis 501 XX……are my favourites
@Jeremiah, You got me on this jean video. I have a major concern with belt loops, especially the front. Not being too far apart and also compatible with a real belt and also a real belt buckle. Made in USA is also great. New follow, thanks.
Wrangler 13MWZ with 2" of extra for "stack". They were made to ride in and when mounted they work best. End o story.
My go tos are usuall
-Levis 501 original
-Buffalo Six-x
-Buffalo x-Driven
The Levis win for longevity
The Buffalo jeans have a much more fashion denim fabric, but for daily wear they work well for me and my stupid build.
This is a Great Video! Helped me so much. Keep them coming.
Will do Peter! Thanks for watching!
Wrangler 13mwz are my go to jeans with my ropers
Cheers
Thanks for the video! It was quick and straight to the point!
1st time here, love that bullhead artwork!!!BTW: Sweet Martin acoustic brother.
Cheers! Thanks buddy
My top 3
#9 - Levis
#6 - Texas Jeans
#7 - Lee’s
Btw, we rocked Lee jeans decades ago when they were a big thing, I mean a very big thing in the city. I still wear them today.
Well, I had opposite results. My best pair are the Old Navy…and worst…wrangler. I will try your other suggestions
517’s fit my body shape the best.
2nd wrangler boot cut
I’m going to try the Ariats that you mentioned at #1
Thanks
There are 3 things Igorot people love: denims(stf), leather boots and country music. I just realized Igorots of Northern Philippines are well and heavily influenced by Americans during the colonization era. Joke says we ain’t Filipinos, we are brown Americans.
You are a goober.....you make me 😂. I enjoy watching you talk and share your videos. Keep entertaining me!! You just got a new fan!!
I really live my George jeans, I have 2 pair. At $15 a pair they are great. Also love my Wranglers. I wear jeans almost every day for work.
Thought the old navy looked good and #13 are wide and good for large men to kinda give them stright look boot cuts are hard to find on heavier men
I’ve tried a good amount of jeans but I stick to cinch, wrangler and Levi’s
Great review. Didn’t know how many options I had before watching this. Thanks.
Just bought my first pair yesterday and so far I'm liking these bad boys 😎
Like my Banana Republic boot cut. But favs are 501.
I personally wear Cinch Silver label that I picked up for $70 and I personally like them. I also wear Ariat Rebar’s
Dude lee is a underrated brand of I’ve had one pair that lasted me 5 years and do a lot of heavy work
Fun fact, my wrangler jeans ripped 2 giant tears down the ass and my George Walmart bootcuts are still going strong. I might just have to cycle all my jeans out and just buy George, they are cheap, comfortable, stretchy, and so far super durable
Arizona loose boot cut are awesome
