This is song about being at a concert. It’s a tribute to where they started playing (battery street) and double meaning because a battery has a charge- they feed off the crowd and the crowd feeds off them. It’s the metaphor of being at a show. The line “can not kill the family” metallica calls their fans “the metallica family” this Al im is the first metal album placed in the library of congress for its musical and cultural significance. Every song is spectacular. Not the song from stranger things but it is on this album.

One of the things that I have really enjoyed about Metallica is the instrumental arrangement, with it's classical influence, and shredding guitar licks. It's chaos controlled, it's unbridled passion directed effortlessly in a synchronicity of sound and sensation. Poetry.

Plenty of Metallica songs to discover as well as other bands. My current favorite band that I started listening to a couple years ago (after 30+ years of nothing new getting my attention) is Jinjer. Their song Pisces (live session) is a great kickoff to them. No research, just listen and enjoy (will probably want to pull up lyrics for them, subtitles don't work). Subbed. congratulations on discovering Metallica. "Welcome Home".
you are now "Hardwired" to "Ride The Lightning" and experience the "Lux Æterna" of Metallica's career.
"In The Eye Of The Beholder" the "One" way to "Cure" "The Unnamed Feeling" of needing more Metallica is to answer "The Call Of ktulu", like a "Moth Into The Flame", "Fuel" the "Metal Militia" and "Fight Fire With Fire" "Until It Sleeps", it will "Fade To Black", and only "The Memory Remains" "Through The Never".
to ignore the feeling is "Unforgiven", becoming a "Thorn Within", leaving you an "Outlaw Torn" "All Nightmare Long" and "The Thing That Should Not Be" will consume and "Spit Out The Bone". It's "Sad But True".
so, knowing "My Friend Of Misery" is the "Harvester Of Sorrow" and "For Whom The Bell Tolls" like "Creeping Death", a new fan can avoid the feeling of being "Trapped Under Ice" with no "Escape".
Go ahead and "Hit The Lights", "Jump In The Fire" and "Carpe Diem, Baby". You will feel like the "Hero Of The Day" and not "King Nothing".
    And "Nothing Else Matters".
    Just don't get "Whiplash".

Now imagine it's the mid 1980's and you're 15 and all you hear on the radio is Micheal Jackson, Madonna and Boy George. Then... This is presented to you! Game changer. For life.

Can you now see why metal heads are some of the calmest nicest people you'll ever meet? We learned how to release aggression in a burst when needed.😂

Just found your channel tonight. Really enjoy your content and am going to be going through your videos on a binge. Would love to see you check out Tyler Childers Whitehouse Road or Benjamin Tod Using Again, completely different genre but awesome songs. Keep up the great work!

Fun fact. This song is written about the thrash metal scene, particularly the thrash metal bands that played at the "old waldorf" club in San Francisco, on BATTERY street.
