Hoss, those D-rings are a great idea; something that should have been factory installed. I just put a forward shelf in the truck bed of my GFC. Half inch plywood cut to slide -- just wide enough and deep enough to rest on the rounded bottom extrusions of the GFC. So it goes full width side to side and 18" fore and aft, just behind the front GFC window. This is under the fixed forward portion of the form-a-floor which is too low for anything other than storage. This eliminates stacking tote boxes and gear in a jumbled mess at night. It takes some fancy cutting to make the plywood fit around the forward diagonal braces and the side camper-to-bed clamps. I used a piece of 1x4 side to side to make the shelf so it did not sag in the middle and I used little bunji cords to hold the shelf forward. So no more chaos "downstairs" on cold nights reading or cooking as all totes and gear are stowed forward. And I use large paper office-type clamps to roll and hold open the vents and back flap. Those large clamps are pretty powerful so I weakened their grip by clamping them onto a board for about a week. Great video for us GFC noobs!

Great tips! And awesome idea for the shelf toward the back of the truck to keep all your boxes and gear together. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching! Much appreciated!

Its interesting. You not doing a lot of the mods on the GFC forum but more so working with what the camper is and addressing feng shui aspect and functionality of it. Maybe its the location and it works with what you need. In New England, where I live, its insulation, diesel heater and making the camper useful for ski season. However, most of the time I'm finding uses for it as my daily commuter and i use it as my breakroom at work with my double cab seat as a jump seat reversing it and putting it in the camper. Epic.

I love how you say the feng shui of the camper lol! Awesome. Everyone is going to use their camper differently which is the best thing about this camper, you can make it what you need it to be! I've been thinking about winter coming up though and getting the camper ready for winter so I can hit the slopes and camp. I'll probably get a diesel heater and look into insulation. Thanks for watching John!

Thanks to you and your helpful tips and vlogs, my husband and I went on our first camping trip this weekend. We used a new pop-up suv tent at Boulder Beach Campgrounds. We got invaded by fire ants but we still had a great time. But now I know why you insist on camping away from other people. It can get loud at night and the smoke from their fire pits can get in the tent and suffocate a person. Well at least now we know for next time. 😅
We got our dogs the same glow in the dark collar you got for Rio. We love her, by the way. 😊
Anyway, thanks again and we look forward to your new videos. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thats awsome to hear! Glad you guys were able to get out and camp! Sorry to hear about the ants though! Luckily we've never had an invasion lol but we've seen their holes and have moved our camp a bit away to avoid them, you always learn something new everything you get out :) And very true about fire pits lol the wind will work against you sometimes! Glad you guys enjoy the videos and Thanks for watching!

Howzit! I’m a Las Vegas resident out here. Thanks for the pro tips. We’re brand new GFC platform camper owners as of this past Saturday. We were informed by GFC that we were one of the first people to get the new 3” dual density foam inserts with 4 way stretch nylon spandex covers. Had no idea and was already expecting the previous version. In case u wanted the upgrade. They’re avail now for purchase. Keep up the great content and hopefully we may run to ea other out in the wild 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Glad you found the channel and congrats on the new GFC! I did see GFC's announcement yesterday that the new sleep platform is available for older GFC models, thats awesome that your unit came with it because it costs almost $600 to buy it as an accessory lol Thanks for watching!! If you ever see me out on the road, dont hesitate to say Hello! Cheers!

@@Kadenventures definitely brother! Ur channels is full of helpful tips and advice to help lead other GFC owners in the right direction. Glad I found someone who not only owns one but lives in the same city as me! Btw I’m located in the southwest area out in mountains edge community. Closest spot for me to camp would be Lovell canyon. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
