Thank you so much for the shout out! We love watching your channel. But, you always make us hungry. 😂 We too have a love hate with the cushions. We have some folks 20 mins north from us who make wedge campers Snap Treehouse. Love how thier sleep platform is on hydraulics. Plus they have an open 30" crawl space at end with a mini ladder. Great design. Mark (& Teresa) Hampstead Maryland Ford Ranger - GFC Camper V2 #1919
Thanks for watching guys! We have a friend in Vegas making a similar style camper as well with the full bed platform (instead of individual cushions) on hydraulics as well, good to know there are more options out there! Always cool to see other vendors coming out with new campers like this!
I have a GFC also. I think the more and more I use/move the bed platform, the more I love it. I always thought it would be nice to have the "push up" floor like in some or the "slide" platform like Vagabond + SP....but now I see how useful and vertisle the GFC actually is. I've worked on one side as a "stand up" desk which is awesome.
Agreed! I do love the versatility as well its fun to play around with it. And agreed on the standing desk! Works out perfectly for it. Thanks for watching!!
Keep up the great work, Kaden! Grateful for what you do -- I enjoy keeping up with your adventures as they inspire me to get out in our GFC! Also really appreciate you highlighting your gear finds and GFC "hacks" in general. You're a great asset to the GFC community! Hope to cross paths one of these days.
Thanks Sean! Appreciate the feedback and Glad the videos are helpful ! if you ever have any questions or video requests let me know! Thanks for watching!
Hey Kaden, good to see you again. Susan and I baled on Death Valley due to crazy incoming weather, so were back home in Tucson. Love the simplicity of your rig and how you can reconfigure to meet your needs, less is definitely more my friend. Well, enjoy, were headed to Roosevelt lake to do some pre spawn bass fishing. Peace and safe travels. 😢
Hey Dave! Sorry to hear about the crazy weather that pushed your Death Valley trip! We are hoping to make a trip out there before the heat sets in lol And agreed less is definitely more! Never heard of Roosevelt Lake, i'll have to look that up on the map. Thanks for watching and safe travels out there!
Dude welcome back to AZ! Bro we gotta have a brewski when your here! We can camp out here in the white tanks or at lake pleasant! Do a little fishing!! Thanks for the shout out to surprise!!! 🙌🏾👊🏾
That would be fun! I was actually going to camp in Lake Pleasant this night but decided to start making the drive home instead lol Hows the fishing out in Lake Pleasant?
looks great. Just ordered my box! What about the camp chair up against the cab window to sit on - old man backs not good sitting in the bed, but your young so... Funny I made that note just before you commented on your position/knees LOL
lol! The camp chair I use is called a Front Runner chair, its packs down small and makes it easy to move around the truck bed and is comfortable! Link here if your interested: amzn.to/3Fy5dti Thanks for watching!
Thats awesome! And yeah i've done that one night and the extra panel does help with me thinking I might fall into that big hole in the middle of the night lol! Thanksf or watching Dakota!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoy the videos, the flat tailgate comes from Mountain Hatch, its the only company that has one for Nissan Frontiers, a bit expensive just to flatten out a tailgate (i'm sure you could DIY something) but the flat tailgate has been great for camping! I've seen some knock off ones like this amzn.to/3XnjNvP which is about $100 cheaper than Mountain Hatch
Kaden. Please do a review on the gfc...wear and tear. Pros cons, pricing etc. I'm looking at it more. Now that they have a shop here in Cali. Thanks sir. Keep the videos coming
Hey David, I did a 1 year review video on the camper a few weeks back - here you go: ua-cam.com/video/RxapTa_zGAg/v-deo.html If you have any follow up questions let me know! Cheers!
Yes! I was actually looking at bug net material so I can create some custom bug screens around the camper, possibly looking at doing this for the summer! Thanks for watching Michael!
Just found a Titan XD lifted with a roof-top-tent included in the deal... really trying to resist and make a more adult choice...convince me otherwise😅
Oh damn! I'm Pro adult choices unless the truck is a good deal with low miles =p and RTTs can be pretty cheap ~$900 for the Smittybuilt ones so don't be too swayed by the included tent ;)
@@Kadenventures it is a good deal on the truck, extras aside. Just having trouble justifying the 5.0 diesel and all when it will be 95% driving to/ from work unencumbered 😅
Did you ever build out the bottom? If I were to buy something like this I would like to use the bottom a lot relax in. Not sure about the room though. I’m 6’2” and wondered if I have enough room. Like the channel.
I will eventually build out the bottom to have a bench seat and some storage, my truck bed is a 5ft short bed so you being 6'2" may be a bit cramped lol
How do you watch movies without service? Do you have offline subscriptions? We just carry DVDs and iPad because we're cheap but there's gotta be a better way 😅
Where’d you get those curtains? I’ve been looking for something similar for my GFC Topper, and is that an awning I saw mounted? Thanks for the great content!
Hey Steve! I made the curtains myself, just bought some fabric from Hobby Lobby and cut to size ($12). Then Super glued velcro ($5) to the edges to connect them to the truck, super cheap easy DIY :)

I'm considering the GFC, so it's nice to be able to watch you and see how a typical evening might roll out. Thanks for this video!
Thats what I really like to portray is different ways to use this camper so happy to hear you like the videos! Thanks for watching!
Thats definitely a nice spot! The desert silence is one of the best ways to unwind and relax.
Couldnt agree more man! Thanks for watching Jay!
About to board a flight from Berlin to Copenhagen and just downloaded your video for some in-flight entertainment 👍
Nice!! Hope your having an awesome time in Germany! We'll catch up when you get back stateside

So awesome to see more Frontier camping content on YT, thanks for sharing your adventures and I hope to cross paths camping someday!
Thanks Ryan! That was one of the reasons I started my channel, I was drowning in the sea of Tacoma camping content 😂

Great video man! I too get sketched out when I sleep without one of the panels in.
lol Glad i'm not the only one! Thanks for watching! Appreciate it
Nice video
Appreciate it Scott, thanks for watching!
That's how I set up my GFC, except I moved one panel up top when I slept.

Have you considered getting one of those Chinese diesel heaters?
Hey Josh! yes I have thought about them but I decided to just use what I got this season and will probably upgrade next year lol

Thanks Roger! I'm hoping to get another trip scheduled with the Vegas Overlanding group in April/May

do you make a super duty topper like this?
I dont but GFC does make a truck bed tropper (without the tent) and its very heavy duty
