I’m just here to stroke Jay’s ego on his lighting aesthetic
Jay is pleased.
It does look great.
Very cool
Was about to do the same. Very slick.
IT BROKE NEW GROUND!!!!!
Rich Evans trying to figure out modern technology is my new favorite thing
Ahaha oh god its great
That interaction was pretty much everyone ever when "the IT guy tries to help with the new project management software".
Remember those times he tried using his phone on camera? It was like giving my grandma the TV remote
Wait till he finds out you can buy customized sex dolls that can watch star trek with you..... Can't wait till Mike pranks him when he erase her speech lines and saves his into the Doll
Rather software than simply "technology". Lots of pretenders now acting like they would be total pros with any custom softwares, or even organization...
I like to picture the team as Wisconson-style King of the Hill characters, standing around drinking beer and building shelves.
This reminds me of The Library of Babel, a short story by Borges, about a infinite library cointaining all possible books (in a specific format). The people in this world travel endlessly looking for meaning in these books filled of random letters in random order, leaving them in a state of constant despair and hopelessness. Actually... nevermind, I see no similarities
Like the library from doctor who?
minecraft officially made the library of babel ingame as part of an april fools joke once & it really is an infinite library with all possible books.
There's a website that lets you do this
That actually exists online. The library of Babel was featured in a Vsauce video, it contains like 10 to the power of 5000 pages of 3000 letters+period+comma+space combinations.
HOLY SHIT IS THAT CANE TOADS: AN UNNATURAL HISTORY??? My bio mentor in college showed us that documentary and I non-ironically love it. You guys gotta watch it!
wonder if it's technically the best movie made in australia
Genuinely a good movie
Thanks for the recommendation !
When yall retire you should make this collection a tourist attraction, I'd pay to just walk through and see all these different movies. It's one thing for a website to have infinite movies, but to physically see a tangible collection of this size is very impressive
Take a shot every time they say "shelf".
You are now Mike Stoklasa.
I disagree, the video ends at one point, but Mike's drinking doesn't.
You have partially experienced a fraction of what it is to be Mike Stoklasa, temporarily.
@@LawkzBro 'Stoklasa' is a czech surname, so that is expected.
Very good, sir.
Just want to throw out some appreciation for the work everyone on the RLM team does. Rich puts in so much organizing and constructive work, Jay and Mike trade in editing videos. Everyone trades off production roles.
Thank you guys for the work you do. ^^
Jay confirms. RLM crew get "a lot of action."
This was weirdly humble and sincere for the guys. Nice change.
Rich doing all this screening proves he’s been the real hero all along (as if we didn’t already know that)
And he doesn't drink anymore so he has to do all of that sober! He's the hero we need but not the one we deserve.
The hero we need, but not the one we deserve.
Well he is Spacecop
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how hard these guys work for our entertainment?
The thought of rich pre screening a billion black spine tapes makes wish they would just film that. His disgust, frustrations, and annoyance would be entertaining by itself as he repeatedly swaps and trashes tapes
No
@@MajorT0m Why are you even here then?
@@jeremyross9698 The "can we just take a moment to XYZ" comments are everywhere at the moment and they bore me. Besides, RLM aren't a charity organisation, they have a lot of fun and get revenue from what they do.
@@MajorT0m true as fuck, these "can we just take a moment" comments are fucking cringe
I formally apologize for sending you Monsters of Rock and Roar. I kind of sent it just for that opening song so I’m really happy it ended up on black spine. And the song closed your 100th episode! So that was cool. I also apologize for Explore the Naturist Lifestyle. That was my fault. You had to look at uncomfortable naked people with Macaulay Culkin because of my actions. I am sorry. And, you’re welcome, Rich. 😉 I don’t apologize for Rent-a-Friend. That is legitimately weird and should go back on the wheel!
Congrats on 100 BotW, love you all, look forward to the future of RLM!
Thank you for your contributions sir!

It always used to drive me crazy when video shops sorted stuff by genre. I remember looking for Trainspotting once and had to ask at the desk and it had been filed in the comedy section. Just file everything alphabetically - so much easier.
I'd love an hour long video of Rich Evans just doing carpentry. He can call it Sexier Than Jesus.
Yup.
I wonder if like Rich, Jesus regretted giving up his day job?
When the inevitable time of burning the building down will come - please do it by letting Rich make french fries downstairs! Let it all come full circle!

I just love the energy that radiates from you guys in videos like this. I don't know what kind of energy that is, but I like it. Like in your Ben and Arthur episode where you guys are talking about budget independent film making tips, and here as you guys explain your movie organization system.

Don't worry Rich will be cool with fire safety.
Getting waco vibes from jays statement
@@CaptainPlainJaneway Make it into a really shitty action movie.
I love these behind the scenes looks. Also, why has Nukie been this running gag for so long? Is it ever gonna be screened? Or is it just a meme at this point that will never be addressed lol.
on the wikipedia page for nukie, it lists Mike as saying that it's the worst movie ever and that he wants every copy of it on earth
They twitted about receiving one copy and said "Fuck you" either because it had some fame of being super bad or they already watch it so... you know the internet. People just kept sending copies. Doubt they'll ever watch it
I think they just received tons of Nukie tapes right as they started BOTW, meaning people _really_ want them to screen it, so of course, being the trolls they are, they decided it would be hilarious if they kept teasing it but never actually doing it. They also probably don't wanna do it because it's one of those famously bad movies that have already been done to death by other channels.
Well, I didn't think they'd ever show Blood Shack (The Chooper), but they did. I know Jay screened it on a livestream a handful of years ago. Speaking of which, I wish they would do more of that again.
@@EyeShotFirst Wait. Jay live streamed stuff? Where did this take place?
Pretty solid collection, it's no Victorville Film Archive of course, but you guys are definitely movie buffs in the making!
This makes me want a full RLM documentary
Finally another exciting entry in Jays vlog
What was in that freaking box?!?
This is an amazing little doc. Thanks for the insight.
I had no idea Rich screens everything. Poor man.
Their collection is basically the dumb version of Criterion’s closet picks and I love it for that. None of the diamonds, only the rough.
More or less.
I don’t think the criterion collection has Ryan’s Babe or a single Neil Breen film, so I find your claim to be erroneous
Aheeem, Surviving Edged Weapons?
They need to get all these B movie actors and directors to their studio for them to choose their picks lol
I love that you basically had to reinvent the library to catalogue all of your films. It's nice to see this quick behind the scenes stuff
Though I personally wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t quick
I loved the wide eyed fear of rich having to synch up the system 5:46
Rich Evans being spooked by a Windows update is great
Not suprised these guys get more action than anything else.
rich evans gets the most action
Wait hold up.. Tell me about them Cane Toads.
Cane Toads: An Unnatural History is actually a very good documentary. Interesting topic, good production for the era. Whoever put it in the "worst" section clearly hasn't watched any of it.
Seconded. It's a really fun documentary, and it's less than an hour long.
We watched that in my Environmental Science class in high school. Toads are some weird fuckin animals

Maybe Mike can install that spook house carnival train and we can ride around the studio.
It should be a memorial: "Here lay the souls of Jay, Rich, Josh and Jack." Even if they are still alive, that is where their souls died. And Mike killed them!

The one good thing about Star Trek Picard is that it's what led me to find this channel. One year later and this is now my favorite thing on UA-cam and I still have more videos to catch up on. Thanks RLM, you've helped me through more shit this past year than you'll ever know.
Well, I'm glad Rich did re-screen all of the black spines, because Black Spine Junka 3 was a pretty good episode despite being black spine.

Well, they all graduated from film school, so...
I see Mike was passed out drunk again and could not make it to the studio for filming this.
Missed opportunity: have Mike laying down somewhere random like he's passed out drunk and Rich, Jay nor the camera acknowledges him
Just like a rockstar
This is way too sincere for the thick wall of cold sarcasm and cynicism that Mike has erected to isolate himself from the world.
I really liked this style. The slower editing and calmer filmstyle. Softer lighting and general visual style worked really well.
