Wow, never heard anyone do Joni except Joni. This guy is pretty good, actually! That doesn't sound like high praise, except after listening to almost all of Joni's albums over and over and over again, it takes some time to get used to hearing someone else sing them. I have to say, listening to "Amelia" for some reason, this is the first time I heard that song and realized Joni was singing to Amelia Earhart. Great guitar playing!

Brian, regarding Joni and her many lovers, as an avid reader of Rolling Stone WAY back in the day, she was tagged as "old lady of the year" for her many lovers, right after Ladies of the Canyon came out. I believe Joni was singing to Graham Nash on the song Willie. I played that record to death until Blue arrived, and the circle began again. Then I matured and the songs DNA (did not apply), as her style also changed as she progressed into jazz. Check out SHADOWS AND LIGHT, live in Santa Barbara, CA, 1979......band included the late Jaco Pastorius on bass, Pat Metheny, Michael Brecker, etc. Electric evening and great recording.
