This place holds a special place in my heart. Starting eating here in the late 70s with my Dad. It was his favorite, also my first experience with real spice of that unbelievable quacamole sauce. I will never and I mean never travel to losangeles without stopping in to get the best Taquitos in the world. This is true example of real love of cooking.
WHY BECAUSE ITS RECYCLED SHIT LMAO I ALLSO SEE HUMAN DNA IN THE MEATS

Life is memories and you painted a great picture!
The Mexican food in L.A. is the greatest. I grew up in East L.A.
I hated the place but I do miss the cuisine!
Vatos Locos S A
Grew up down the road in the San Gabriel Valley…Mexican food is my go to comfort food! Those taquitos look like they’re worth a drive home from Northern California😊
Then don’t come back !!!!
Wow, I didn't know they made those Taquitos from scratch. So Many Memories I have of that place since I was a Child (And I'm 54yrs. Old already)... 👍👍👍👍👍
✌️👍👌
Ya estas rukito I’m 55 so yo estoy mas ruka 😂
@@lolitasaucedo67 lol... 👍👍👍👍👍
Omg me too we would go church and my parents would take us there and later I worked at Olvera street as a teenager.
Bean and cheese burrito was the best!
My Mom took me and my siblings there starting in 1968! Best taquitos ever - and the scent of all that cooking - incredible!
Was the green salsa always so runny? Not my favorite 😊
Everything looks good, except for the runny green salsa they are making nowadays.
Yes it was always runny. There’s a DTLA restaurant called El Tepeyac (on Evergreen) that serves their taquitos with a heaping mountain of real guacamole.
Sounds like a great memory 😊
@@chilipeprsandi, 😅 it doesn’t matter, the flavor is excellent!!
had no idea that much work went into making the taquitos and sauce. thanks for the behind the scenes look. made me appreciate them even more. Thanks!
Me too! Unbelievable the hard work and fresh corn tortillas from scratch!
That white taco bell style always tricks everyone
Definitely a lot of work 😊now I really want to taste these
@@eddiegarcia1560agree my friend 😊
never ever go here. homeless people and very unsafe place
Let's all appreciate the time, patience, hard work and dedication that these awesome people do to bring good food for the masses.🙏🏻
Now where's my taquitos cause this looks delicious , and I'm hungry!😋
Simple recipe. Labor intensive. Detailed. Worth it. It's the reason why the taquitos are so good and famous. A testament to how long they've been doing it. PREVECHO. CALIFORNIA LOVE 😎🎭✌️
Okay cholo
This the first meal we have when arriving to LA and the last meal before leaving. I have traveled across the globe and have yet to find a better meal. Muchas gracias mi amigos!
I definitely want to try this next time I am in LA😊
It doesn’t get much better than this in my opinion
Já veio no Brasil ??
I love to watch how good is cooked.
I love Mexican food, it’s just my favorite and I wanna make some now
Me invitas
Once that yellow processed American hit the beans, it stopped Mexican food.
Nobody saw the garden hose ? Wow blind people in the house
Cielito Lindo is great. There are several other taquito stands at Olvera Street with different guacamole sauces. Olvera Street has some great eateries including La Luz del Dia at the beginning of the street with its signature carnitas, nopalitos, champurrado and tortillas de mano.
And those taquitos look exactly the same of those in aka Plazita Olvera👌🏻 hmm 🤔 I rather cook them myself!! They are not that good.they taste like fried tamales.( La Plazita)
All taquitos taste the best at first fry. Early Bird gets best taquitos. Yum I'm planning a trip soon. Taste test.
This is like homemade just in production mode. Simple ingredients, labor intensive and love. Mis respetos. I live in Fontana and will definitely check it out.
¡VIVA MÉXICO! ❤️🇲🇽❤️

I was dating a man in LA back in 1975 that took me to Olvera Street to get Taquitos and I have been hooked on them ever since. My son always says to me when we eat at a Mexican restaurant "Mom, that is all you ever order!" Oh well, I love them, that's why I always order them. 😁

I love these taquitos and didn’t know this is what it takes. I appreciate them more now.
This what you call "Authentic" no buying tortillas, or salsa, it's all made fresh. Well, gotta go to the store, I am making these tonight. Kudos to my Mejicanos for this awesome peek into the hard labor of making taquitos. God Bless you all.

Wow so much love and effort is put into thise famous taquitos! Always my favorite spot when visiting La Placita Olvera!

As a child my dad would take me to this Taquitos Restaurant, where I grew to love these rolled tacos, along with the green sauce and cheese. And now 60 years later, this is where I go if ever near LA, besides Knott's Berry Farm Chicken Dinner and any Bob's Big Boy.
I love this Cielito Lindo! I can't get enough of those taquitos and that salsa it's even better when the taquitos are in the salsa, it's one of a kind. When I go back home I always need to eat there. Placita Olvera is part of my childhood and I loved getting my cucumber with lime, salt and chilito wrapped in plastic wrap, 😋 mmm unpeeling it and taking that first bite was incredible. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
Angelinos know where it's at when it comes to taquitos and Cielito Lindo is what it's at! The taquitos are so good that the restaurant features the recipes on their site knowing that it will not reduce their business one bit.
Advice-Go early. Once the lunch hour hour hits the line gets long and there are very few tables at the restaurant.
This is one of my favorite places to eat!!! So awesome to be able to see all the behind the scenes!!!very cool, now I’ll have to go get some taquitos! 😎🤤
Yes one our favorites as well!! Thank you for watching! 😍😍😍
What is the ADDRESS?
I’m taking My Familia from Tx. To eat here.

Back when I lived in Vegas and would take the bus back to Southern California once a month to visit my girlfriend...would always have people complaining about a multi hour layover at the train station...I would ALWAYS send them to this place and Philippe's and tell them those are the two best places you can eat while you are stuck waiting for your train or bus connection! Lots of people traveling up to Oregon etc, but a lot of people from out of country.
I would also always go to either place when waiting for my girlfriend to pick me up...would get in line and get us both food
Thoughtful boyfriend!!!
Sorry, perhaps thoughtful girlfriend!
8:40 I shed a tear. That looks absolutely amazing!
It looks and it Taste Delicious 👍🏻
The only tears I shed was the water coming from my mouth.
Processing of making these are just sooo priceless..🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Man, those big ass pots and equipment remind me of my Grandma's work kitchen up in Calistoga when she worked as a cook for the workers at Christian Bros. Winery. My parent's would take us yup to stay with her for many summers. She would make us tacos of beans and rice in the cafeteria she ran all the time and the dinners would be all kinds of home made Mexican food. It was glorious! Thanks for posting.
Todo muy limpio y organizado..
Da gusto comer en ése lugar!
No se limpio
I used to eat just about every day. When I was working in Placita Olvers as a hostess 20 years ago. I so missed this taquitos they were the best ever.

I miss Olvera Street, Chinatown, and Philippe's so much. I moved out of L.A. in 2007, and there are only a handful of places that I miss, and this is one of them.
A Los Angeles landmark. I love this place and I hope it lives on for generations to come. Nothing better than putting down some of these before a Dodger game.
Trabajoso.. Pero vale la pena.. Esquixitas comidas..todo un arte diria yo
My favorite Mexican food
My brothers favorite taquitos joint at calle olvera street Los Angeles original Mexican taquitos been there to orale
Olvera Street is my mom’s favorite place in LA, after arriving from Mexico. As a kid, it was always such a colorful calming part of LA to visit on the weekends. I love how it smells so earthy and welcoming. The plaza smells like fresh tortillas, sweets and herbs. It feels like a tiny warm village in the middle of a compact, traffic-consumed city. Always such a sweet part of the city that reminds me of how much history Los Angeles has-in contrast to how it’s marketed to the world from Hollywood’s skewed view.
Yo i thought this was a simple operation here. Never knew how much goes into making these simple tacos so damn good!
A mix of tradition, talent, and love.
Impressive how much effort and work to feed us hungry people thank you for sharing this amazing video
Beautiful! That's exactly why it all taste so darn delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for all that effort!
I used to go as kid with my parents now we moved to Wyoming I must visit soon I grew up in Boyle heights
OMG, these taquitos are so good! I drank a cup of salsa when I was pregnant with my first son.
Hahahaha that’s so funny
Man that's a lot of work for fresh ingredients hope public appreciates what it takes. Old school better than all fast food.
These taquitos look so delicious, ahora tengo hambre , qiero estos taquitos. 😙😘❤👍
I grew up in walking distance from Olvera Street. I miss going there. China Town is a special place for me and my brothers as well.
I worked at the Olvera street as a teenager in the 80’s, and I would eat there all the time. I never imagined that it was all made from scratch. I had forgotten about this place. I will try to make a trip out there soon looks so good, I can almost remember the taste 😊❤
I was just there with my daughters about 2 weeks ago, that salsa is delicious and the beans were just as good. The only thing that I have a complaint about is, I wish the taqutios were a little bit more fried. This is a must have when you go and visit Olvera St. I have always enjoyed going there , it is a good place to visit.
This place is amazing. Been going here for years. The green/Guac sauce is so good I can literally drink it.
The real deal!! hats off to those hard working employees!!!!
Like every school kid in the LA area in the 50s and 60s, I ate their taquitos on every field trip to Olvera Street. I remember them costing 25 cents for two taquitos in that white, paper thing, with avocado sauce squirted on top.
I love their food, I remember going there as a kid. You'll never eat better taquitos.
All that hardwork i bet the food is straight 🔥
Bout to go get 2 dozen this Saturday and watch the 49ers. Why have they not went into Stores With their Taquitos and That Sauce!!!??? Oh my I can’t wait for Saturday. Give me 2 dozen of them joints.
GRACIAS tan 😋
Love my wife's taquitos she's from Puebla Mexico. They are the best imo
Those are the best taquitos in LOS ANGELES AND ALWAYS OPEN AFTER EVERY LA DODGERS GAME!!! Simply the Best!
When I was a kid it was a special day when my parents would take all of us (7 kids) to Olivera St. They would make us walk around for a little while before we would stop and get some taquitos. Miss those days and my parents.
I love that place ❤ The Best ✅😎
Haven't been here in years, but can still taste those incredible Taquitos and Green Sauce. Live in San Diego now and no place makes them right down here. Got to swing by Olvera Street next time I'm up there. Mmmmmm.....
Cuatro milpas in barrio Logan. Bring cash and don’t be discouraged by the long line
It's inside Olvera Street I used to go there with my great-grandma when she used to go to church is very famous movie stars go there to eat I seen Creedence Clearwater Revival eating there before going to a concert at Dodger Stadium the only reason why I knew because my cousin who was way older than me love that group
I grew up a few miles away from this spot up Highway 11 in Pasadena, the food here is imitated in many places but never duplicated. I live in Houston now if I went back for a visit this would easily be one of my first stops
It’s soo good, the sauce is smooth and delicious!
Pura chulada ,,my mouth turned into water 🤤 😅

The end products look like heaven.
Wow, this place has so many wonderful memories when I was growing up.
This is how my family cooks that's why I enjoy there Mexican food
OMG!! It has been decades since I been there. No joke people. Must try. ❤
I really don’t like going downtown, but it’s definitely worth it to get these taquitos.
Everything is scratch made! Awesome!!!😀

@@Dewey-gx3lf Yep, I’m from LA, born and raised. Good advise though, Thanks☺️
Have had these many, many times. They are the best. You can literally drink the sauce it's so good. 👍 👍 👍 👍
I live in downtown Los Angeles very close to where this 'restaurant' is (right across from the Post Office Annex Building and also near Union Station) and tell you for a fact the place is VERY small and no doubt not big enough to have a kitchen the size shown in this video. No doubt the product is made off site and delivered to the restaurant to be cooked there.
😢 my Nana and Tata loved going there well my whole family but they started going before us I have to take my grandson when he's a little older ❤❤❤❤
I lived in Pasadena for 12 years. I took all the different ethnic food in L.A. for granted, you could get almost anything, but I especially took the Mexican food for granted. I have lived in Virginia for the last 10 years, basically in Mayberry! They have no clue what Great Mexican food is, if I want it, I have to cook it myself. Like I said, the things you take for granted...
This was a relaxing video to watch after just demolishing taco Tuesday 😂 respect the very long process!
LUV that green sauce!
Heard about this place before going to LA and when we went to check it out, the line was so long. Definitely worth the wait. We loved them! Absolutely delicious! We live in San Jose, think its time for another visit☺️
Thank you so much for uploading this!
Wow, I never knew so much work went into the preparation. No wonder they taste so good.

*My mother loves these taquitos. We were here 3 weeks ago. We do our own food tour: First stop here, then candies at the candy stall, followed by tacos at "La luz del dia" then enchiladas at "La noche buena".*
