You guys only hit 1 of my top 4 taco spots in the East LA/DTLA area, guisados. You missed the shrimp tacos at marisco Jalisco in Boyle heights, sonoratown in DTLA, and carnitas El momo in Boyle heights. Imo these are the 4 best taco spots in East Los/DTLA. Also, Cielito Lindo is good and has a lot of hype but I prefer the taquitos from the spot literally next to it. Their sauce is a lot more avocado/guac like. Cielito Lindo is much more tomatillo than avocado
Bien Vídeo ! This is my first time watching your video, and I really enjoyed how y'all deconstructed the tacos meat, salsa, and tortillas! It all adds up to the whole food experience. if I may, one place you have to go for a REALLY good Al pastor taco, is Leo's Tacos(y si tienen el trompo😅). It's a food truck on la Brea and Venice originally. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy, and thanks for the taco vid!
Lived in LA my whole life. I'll tell you my favorite spots. We have angels Tijuana tacos that's where you will get some of the best pastor tacos. You also have Ave 26 tacos which I love it's just your normal street tacos. Stop by tacos al cabron for some amazing tacos de Costilla, and Villas tacos, blue corn tortilla quesataco mixed with asada and chorizo is soo good they won taco champions 2 years in a row
I’m surprised she is Lebanese and didn’t even bring up the fact that Tacos Al Pastor is originally from Puebla Mexico however it was because the method of making Tacos Al Pastor came from Lebanese immigrants living in Mexico who took their method of cooking with the trompo similar to their gyro’s and that’s how we got Tacos Al Pastor from Puebla Mexico. They really aren’t looking for real tacos if she hasn’t seen many trompos, we have them absolutely everywhere in the Central Valley where I live which is the 209 area code, Modesto CA to be specific.
Usually I hate these kinds of videos, but good job choosing guisados as #1. I recommend Tacos A Cabron in East l.a. and El Jefe in Pico Union (pico and Westmoreland). But there are too many tacos in l.a. and most of them great. Tacos A Cabron reminded me of stands in Mexico City
Hey we've been watching you for a year and are going to the Yucatan in 6 weeks, using some of your videos. You are in our hometown, Los Angeles. Have fun!
Are you guys still in Los Angeles?? You NEEEEED to go to Taco Nazo in bellflower CA for the best fish tacos outside of ensanada!! Bomb AF!! Lines out the door!!
Olvera street was the first community in California, when it was still Mexico, the buildings are original building from back in the days, Arriba Mexico, y arriba los Califorñianos, you have to try 26 St tacos on Alameda, in downtown L.A. the suadero tacos are the bomb.
Pero les faltaron varias taquerias como Sonoratown( tacos estilo Sonora) , Villas tacos , El Ruso ( tacos estilo sonora) Y si te gustan de quisados en boyle heights esta un puesto que se llama Guisados exquisitos.
guisados is sooo good! para la proxima cuando regresen a Los Angeles, you have to try Villas Tacos and Ave 26 tacos in the downtown LA area. also, you've inspired me to make my own video touring all the taco stands down Whittier Blvd in East Los! lastly, team Salsa Verde for the win! haha :)
Team Salsa Verde! Haha, we're excited to see your taco tour video! Villas tacos was one of our back up spots, and we were bummed we didn’t have more time to try it! Next time!
Olvera Street is the birth place of Los Angeles I'm been going there since I was a little kid. I'm now 74 years old. The best Lengua taco I have ever had was well were traveling back from Yellowstone NP we stopped for gas in Oden Utah next to us getting gas was a car load of our people going to play soccer ⚽️ . So I ask them I'm craving some good tacos since we left Los Angeles so they gave us some directions to a small market in there neighborhood. We they had the Best Lengua tacos that I have had in a very long time. So what made so Delicious was they cut the Lengua into long pieces like lengua logs. Me and Son were in heaven we ate 3 each & 2 Cabeza plus 4 lengua tacos to for the drive back home. In L.A tacos can be great one and so so the next day. Loved your video now I have to catch up on your other videos. P.S I added a couple of your stops to my Yelp favorites folder. ✌️
That’s crazy that you found tacos that good in Utah!!!! I wonder if they are still in business? We would be super curious to try it if we went to Utah! Thanks so much for watching!
For me team salsa verde or team salsa roja all depends on the individual taco shops recipe. At one taco shop I prefer the green at another I prefer the red.
I like a crunchy taco, where at my local place it is simply called a gringo taco, because of the lettuce, cheese and tomato . The best taco place is the one not too far from home , because who can mess up a taco, they are so simple. On second thought, they are very tortilla dependent, and can be messed up with poor quality in that way.
L.A. is the best place for tacos in America you missed some of my favorites like carnitas el momo but for me there no one best spot it depends what I meats I want
Definitely agree with you Guisados is one of my favorite taco spots in LA. If you want to try another taco fusion spot go try Kogi taco truck in Palms on the westside of LA. their short rib tacos are so delicious.
You know what? You might be right about the trompo law! That’s the only thing that explains why we can’t find it! Shoot, we did miss carnitas. That’s one of our favorites too!!
Hello, new to the channel. I have lived in Los Angeles for over 30 years. You will not find the best taco in LA. You must travel to San Diego and visit Tacos El Gordo. It is by far the best tacos you will ever have. The Barbaco(Al Pastor) is the best taco in California. They are TJ style, so good that I drive from LA to San Diego every month at least 2 times to get a bit. If I'm pressed for time and can't drive to SD, I would get to King Taco. They are a very good second best for me.

Also I feel like you guys would love Cinco puntos in east LA!
What a beautiful couple. Martin, protect her bro if you be going down to Baha. Cause there is a dark side down there in Tj.
Great video. Whenever you come back, check out Mariscos Jalisco and Sonoratown.
Thanks! Adding those to our list for next time!
You always make me hungry, lol! Have an amazing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year!

48 Hours of Tacos--great subject line!
Thank you!

Which spots are your favorite?
@@TouristtoLocalSonoratown
Are you guys still in Los Angeles?? You NEEEEED to go to Taco Nazo in bellflower CA for the best fish tacos outside of ensanada!! Bomb AF!! Lines out the door!!

You guys should try the goat birria in Sacramento at El Cora, fried with cheese. So amazing.

Those spots are ok. You guys missed all the good spots! All the good tacos are in hood.
I love Guisados, they also have the best cantaloupe agua fresca.
That sounds SO good!
Mariella's Tacos on 3rd St. Los Angeles has the best Tacos. Order their carne asada and la lengua. Try their red salsa also on your tacos.
Olvera street was the first community in California, when it was still Mexico, the buildings are original building from back in the days, Arriba Mexico, y arriba los Califorñianos, you have to try 26 St tacos on Alameda, in downtown L.A. the suadero tacos are the bomb.

I would like to try all the places that were mentioned in this video. But my favorite is King Taco.
Thanks for the tip!
Leo’s tacos has the authentic trompo your wife is looking for !
Oooh thanks for the tip!
La Azteca Tortilleria or Sonoratown!!
Ooooh adding them to our list for next time!
You two are a beautiful couple!
Aw, thanks so much!
Y'all missed some of the best tacos here. Like Sonoratown!
We need to check it out next time!

Villas tacos in highland park!
Dang seems like a lot of people love that place! We need to go back then!

That’s shit. Bunk to be honest since back back in the days 😊

Same here in Houston ! I can’t find good taco 🌮 places that’s why I go to Mexico a lot 🤣 nothing like the motherland with the best tacos !
You're telling us! The tacos in Mexico are unmatched 🌮
Salsa verde FTW!
@Tourist to Locol you should try la azteca tortilleria
Adding it to our list! Thanks for the recommendation!
4538 e Cesar e Chavez los Angeles ca 90022
there are more thant 1.2 million people with Mexican descent in L.A.
Isn't it crazy?!
Puuuuuuummaaaaaaaassssss!!! GOOOYAAAAA GOOOOYAAAA!!!!
GOYA!!!!!
TacoBell is so "fake". I found out when I tried the street foods when I visited Mexico city. :)
You’re right, nothing beats the real thing!
They said Calabasitas was squash but it's actually zucchini 😊
Oh gosh I totally knew that 😂 I got my vegetables mixed up in English!
@@TouristtoLocal no prob 😀
Next time you have to hit up Carnitas El Momo
I like a crunchy taco, where at my local place it is simply called a gringo taco, because of the lettuce, cheese and tomato . The best taco place is the one not too far from home , because who can mess up a taco, they are so simple. On second thought, they are very tortilla dependent, and can be messed up with poor quality in that way.
The tortilla does truly make the difference!
I’m from East LA (Boyle Heights to be specific) and you hit all the sweet spots!!!
You know what’s up! We were glad to check out some of your favorites!

Thank you for the tips! Funny enough we almost did Kogi instead of Mideast!!
I am team salsa roja, árbol my favorite.

Team salsa verde.
Placitas best 🌮 😅
Villas Tacos, the carnitas from Tacos el Momo, and Tacos a Cabron on Atlantic
Thank you so much for these recommendations! Lots to try next time!!!
Taco Bell is the best
Taco bell is good for fast food, but nothing beats a real taco!
😂😂😂it was clearly a joke
Best tacos is king taco best burrito go too big burrito in canoga park
Why not try Chula Vista ?? LA overhyped tacos not even close to SD
We loved San Diego! Maybe we should do a video there too!
Gonzalez is the best for sure!
La Abeja.
I think there's some kind of law that prohibits meat to be served directly from the trompo. Great taco tour. Solo faltaron los de carnitas ✌
You know what? You might be right about the trompo law! That’s the only thing that explains why we can’t find it! Shoot, we did miss carnitas. That’s one of our favorites too!!
There might be but L.A. definitely doesn’t have a shortage of trompo spots although I don’t typically see them inside trucks.
I have eaten there twice
Nice!! Which place???
Orale paisa get your papeles!

Nah man, lost me in the first 5 minutes eating birria smothered in cheese. What's next, go to Taco Bell?
Tacos on every corner were tired of tacos it's like roaches overpowering... check Chinese people getting tired of eating rice
Birria. Villalobos 🔥🔥🔥
didnt even go to Angelstacos ... guisados is white mans tacos laughable at best
