I genuinely don't have a favorite NW song. This band are unique, in my experience, there are no duff songs, no set fillers, no 'meh' ...Tuomas Holopainen is a genius and with Floor in his armoury they could probably make unblocking a toilet pipe into an emotional rollercoaster of musical magnificence. Well, they juist announced not to tour the Next Album, although i doubt they can stand away from Stages;). Theve toured 18 Months actual, so an pause is normal i think, so we will see.

I'm new to Nightwish as well and have never seen them live, yet!, but I do envy everyone that was at this concert. Every video is amazing, I have their "Showtime, Storytime" Blu-ray on order! Lost track of how many vids I've watched the last two months, especially all the reaction vids.
I got the DVD as I heard there were issues with play speed on the Blu-ray.
I'd be interested to hear if this problem has been resolved - or are they still knocking out the old faulty copies.

@@mking846 That's bad. All of the Nightwish DVD and Blu-ray I own are region free, so if you manage to get them you are good to go.
I will never skip the song "Last Ride of the Day" - It's the last song of their 1hr 30 min set and they still all killed it. It never gets old for us old NW fans to see people see their performances for the first time. It's why we love reaction channels to start their NW adventure.

Well done. We ❤ the passion for our favorite band. I would suggest adding a little variety by checking out 7 Days to the Wolves from their Wembley performance. During the May 2022 concert I was fortunate enough to attend, Floor said it is one of her favorites. If given the opportunity, go see them LIVE. A year later and I am still buzzing from it.

Ever Dream is like driving a fine sports car. Start off slow and just start going through the gears. Then kick in top gear at the end.
The great thing about Nightwish. You get the same energy performance regardless if in a crowd of 800 or 82000.

So many great songs from this concert, but one of my favorites is Ghost River, which features an incredible back and forth between Marco (the evil character) and Floor (the good character)

This song is amazing, from the quiet opening, through Marko coming in, to the second half key change and double kicks ride to the finish. It's impossibly good.Floor has said it is the hardest song for her to sing, and I'm all but sure it's what continuous belting that high for around a minute or two at the end there.
That said, Storytime. Storytime live from this show is my favorite Nightwish song. The energy in it, the lyrics, the chorus. Literally everything. I fell in love with them, and Floor, due to that song, and decided if I had a time machine that I wanted to go there. Failing that, I went to see them live last year and it was amazing. Definitely check out Storytime, but I am sure that's on your list. One that might not be is Nemo, also from this show. That song tears me up in the second half of it. Right from when Floor shouts out to Empuu and he does the solo to the end of the song, it gets a little overwhelming for me sometimes. In a good way. Might be the flute, but it is also Floor's voice of course, the enegry of this show. Everything. Also that sign though, could not be more appropriately timed, as I am always feeling it in that moment.

Prepare for heaps of chills, numerous surprises, countless moments of excitement, returning lyrics filled with touching melancholy and much, much more. The trip from Phoenix was so worth the wonderful experience that is every Nightwish live show. Loved it and thank you for this incredible reaction to our beloved band with Floor.

The entire 2013 show is amazing. The song Ghost River is amazing, with lots of Marko and Floor vocals.
Also the fact that she’d only been with the band for only 9 months before this performance is just amazing ,she was the perfect choice imo also the last ride from this concert is legit AF! 🙌🏼🤘🏻

" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000.
The song is more operatic in nature than later works and the music itself is more on the heavy metal side. It is still played live since 2002 until today. "Ever Dream" was certified with Gold Disc in Finland two days after its release, with more than 5,000 copies sold, and later received Platinum Disc with more than 10,000 copies sold.
It is almost impossible to pick just one single fav song. There are to many, and they are all perfect. But, if i had to choose one right now, maybe, it would be 7 Days to the Wolves, tomorrow it might be a different one. If you want to react to that song, go for the live at wembley version, it is stunning.

Every subsequent Nightwish song becomes a favourite. Wembley concert was great too. If I had a favourite, for emotions, it has to be "The Poet and The Pendulum" performed at Wembley - maybe just for personal relatability but also because it's SO deep and real! There is a long backstory to it but knowing that is not required to appreciate the music and the performance - short version, Tuomas' suicide in song rather than real life. The album version was so good but Floor gave it her all and brought it even more to life. You can see how close all the band members were/are.
This performance is pure beauty!!!

My trip down the rabbit hole started with Nightwish with Tarja all the way through to Floor.The caliber of musicians and singers in this genre is totally unmatched.
Song of Myself Is my all time favorite Nightwish song, and the Wacken Open Air performance is my favorite version. It, and Dead Boys Poem Live at Buenos Aires are my two favorite (but wildly different) performances from Floor!

Well, I can honestly tell you that "Weak Fantasy" is my favorite Nightwish song.
According to Spotify, It was my #1 played song with over 1000 plays in 2022, and why not.... some days I found myself with that damn song on repeat and listening to it 3 to 4 times back to back before going on with my day.
It has dark, it has light, and as a musician myself, it has one of my favorite things...
a FULL sound!!
From the orchestral tracks, to the choirs, to the chunky guitars and even a bouzouki on the verse.
The studio version is the best to endulge the ears, in my opinion, but the performance in Tampere is an absolutely phenomenal sight for sore eyes, and definitely reaction worthy.

Nightwish played at a goth festival in Germany called "Mera Luna" a week after Wacken in 2013. If you are into music, festivals are a great place to be introduced to new music.

Got into Nightwish because of Floor's participation in a Dutch show, Beste Zangers ( best or dearest singers) and have seen her at one of her first soloshows, just before Covid kicked in. She blew me and the total venue away. Then had to wait for 2 years, 3 times postponing the Amstedam gig. But then, total awe.
You did Phantom of the Opera with Tarja, first singer. Also get a look at that one they performed in Amsterdam, for the first time in 17 years, mindblowing and jawdropping.

Great reaction Ash. Its crying time again. Nightwish/Floor is the ONLY band that has EVER brought me to tears, and they do it every time...sheesh. I don't even try to understand why anymore, it is just part of the experience for me. Ghost Love Score was the first one I stumbled upon so I call that my favorite. However, any song from this performance could fill that slot, honestly. For me they are all tear jerkers. Simply put, nothing else compares to the perfection that is Nightwish at Wacken 2013. Short answer to ur question. Nope. Floor can sing anything she pleases. From Lady Gaga's Shallow, salsa (que se sente), she can growl, sing Disney's frozen, classical, folk type songs, just anything. Truly a unique artist. She is also a vocal coach , and has some master classes on utube as well. Yes our amazing valkry queen is phenomenal. Love ur reactions. You have so much to see.

She can sing everything. I'm looking forward to your reaction to her death growls ( ehem Yours Is An Empty Hope). I can't say I have a definitive favorite Nightwish song. Each one is my favorite depending on what mood I'm in. If I'm in an "F*ck The World" type of mood, then Yours Is An Empty Hope is my song of choice. If I'm feeling nostalgic, then there's there's Storytime and Dark Chest of Wonders.
IMHO, that's the genius of Tuomas' writing. He has something for every human emotion and beyond.
Great reaction and love the enthusiasm , always a special moment ♥ when I see other people having the same feelings and emotions and it reminds me the first time I heard this version and how these emotions ravaged through my body.

Yes, I highly recommend attending a concert. I've seen them live 3 times, once with each singer. Technically I've been to 4 concerts, but my first with Annette saw the show get cancelled because of Anette being "sick". They were touring with Sonata Arctica at the time, so they took over the lead spot which was also awesome. (Early Sonata ranks in my top 5 bands right along with Nightwish.) While I'm glad to see Nightwish really growing in popularity due to all these reaction videos, as fans, we really are a special niche. The concerts are filled with just amazing and wonderful people. You can go to a show alone and leave with a bunch of new friends. It's such a great community.
"The Greatest Band on Earth"
For me, Marko and Floor duetting is one of my favourite musical things of all time - sheer magic. Picking a favourite Nightwish song with Floor is hard - Ghost Love Score was the first one I heard and that was where the Valkyrie Goddess stole my heart {:D} but I think if I had to pick just one it would be The Greatest Show on Earth ... that end repeated refrain of "We were here!" just tears my heart out.
This whole entire show is just amazing, every single song, the energy is insane. I think you should check out Song of myself from this same show. It is one of my personal favorites.

I've been able to see Nightwish twice when they have come to Melbourne, Australia. One time when Annette was the lead and the other when Floor was really new to the group.

Seing Nightwish live is an amazing experience. I've had the good fortune to be able to see them on their last two US tours. I can't recommend it enough.
And consider that pretty much all the music and lyrics come from Tuomas Halapainen the keyboards genius ,And his ‘minions’ 😂 , who are the most wonderful accomplished musicians on earth righ now! Incredible music.

Great reaction to the band that has been my favorite for 25 years! Favorite song? They are all my favorites! LOL! Actually, Everdream is at the top of the list, and maybe Slaying the Dreamer is a close second, followed by The Greatest Show on Earth, but I'll stop there before end up listing every song they've done. 😁 It took me 21 years before I got to see them live in Albany, NY. It was well worth the wait! By far, the best concert I've ever attended, and I've been to quite a few since I started listening to metal in the mid-70s. Enjoy the journey! They will surprise you every time.

Nightwish has been around me since the beginning. I found them through a norwegian band called "the 3td and mortal". Tuomas is friends with some of the members there.
