@@cavernadigitalpro Yes Floor's high belt in that version is even better, and the crowd are amazing. Wacken in general is a better performance though in my opinion.
I always get goosebumps when Juka starts double bassing in this song.

Every time I hear this song I cry for Marco. I hope he is well. So sad he left band because his vocals missing. Maybe he will play with Nightwish again. Nightwish already working in new album for 24. The whole Wacken performance of NW is behind amazing .
"But for now we're going to start a little softer" remains as the most misleading statement by a Nightwish member up to this day. It's an absolute banger of a song any way you want to slice it.

I always love listening to this one too. They start so slow, then boom they hit you hard, and at the end when the drums double bass and Floor opens it up, very exciting ending.

The ending build and chorus' are some of the most powerful an breathtaking vocals and bombastic drums I have ever heard. A great Nightwish single from 2002. Originally sung by Tarja. I agree lovely lady. Live is where you find out who really has true talent. They are playing all over Germany is 2022. Deichbrand Festival in Seeflughafen in July. Berlin in November and 7 additional shows in December. Great reaction Bisscute. Loved it! 💖🙏

Emppu is such a good/great guitarist i've ever came across❤️ romanticide and high hopes has some great guitar solos and vocals too by floor and marco. Just check it out y'll not be disappointed.... Love from india❤️

Floor says this is her most difficult song because she is constantly in the high notes.
But that's what she said before Shoemaker came out.
So it may have changed, though certainly for other reasons. There it is not the high notes but the lyrics that want to be accommodated vocally in this composition.
I'm totally with you little sister, this has been my favorite song since the first time that I heard it. There's something about it that can't be explained. Maybe the key change at the end, or the machine-gun double bass drums. The lightning behind Floor says it all...

This has always been one of my favourite songs, I couldn't wait for it when I was at their concert back in 2005 (one of the last ones with Tarja). Even caught Emppu's pick when he threw it like he did a few times in this video (still got it).

As much as I love Floor (and that's pretty damn near endless, don't like Nightwish to much before her) that version doesn't come anywhere near this one. It lacks the soul and energy that Nightwish as a whole injects into their performances.
This is of course my subjective opinion. And I respect yours.

You've certainly seen Emppu solos before but he is understated and brilliant at the same time.
Just listen to his tone.
Here's my take on Emppu's solos, they are more like featured performances within the score as it's written instead of impromptu riffing. I think the theme for this band is "READ the music". Frank Zappa was like that too. You played what was written. I'm not saying that is ALWAYS the case but the stuff I've seen him play, it comes off understated perhaps cause he's not shredding, but it fits what everyone else is playing and fits perfectly the theme of what's being played. Like in LGS, he's playing the melody of the song..

if you want more marko the islander tampere live version is the best the original islander is sung by annette and is completely different keep an eye out for original and revamped new versions of their songs the great thing about toumas is that he will not hesitate to make his songs better regardless of how much time has passed . wait until you get into their new album 😁 pay special attn to procession and endlessness lyrics.
