I love Floor, but for me Ever Dream will always be Tarja's song.
I prefer Tarja's version. The emotionality of Tuomas, knowing what happened after the fact, and her voice combined with Marco's (arguably the best Female-Male duo in music ever), is exquisitely beautiful and haunting.
You haven't done 'Weak Fantasy' yet, I don't think. The Tampere version is stellar.
"Song of Myself" is one of their very best songs. Live at Wacken. You have to see it if you haven't yet.
Totally Tarja's song.
The version with Floor sounds a little too clean for me. The one with Tarja sounds more emotional I think. Which has nothing to do with it being her last performance since she didn't know at that point.
My vote is for "The Siren" from End of an Era. It is the perfect Tarja song.

I think that Tarja's voice is very distinguish. No matter what she is singing you would still be able to recognise her voice. Even if she goes to those really high notes, she still has that dark sound of her voice. I think that is really cool and it makes her stand out.
“The Siren” from End of an Era is so haunting, beautiful, and cool.
Greetings from Finland. To put this song into the proper context, this is what Tuomas once said: " It is such a personal song. Opening up about my feelings, the way I miss a certain person. It’s pretty much all in there".
I love these two-fers! If I may make a suggestion, Sleeping Sun, both Tarja's and Floor's version. Not to compare, but to see how they both made the song their own, but in a completely different way.
The emotion of Tuomas after the intro in the End of an era version says it all. Great musician.
