There is Floor, just playing with the crowd again, just like in Storytime. Floor is so great. Besides Marko there is a third singer, Troy you don[t hear as often. But Floor and Marko together is just perfection.
Try " while your lips are still red " or " The Islander " marco sings lead on both songs with Floor doing backing vocals ....amazing !!!
You could also check out Marko singing with his band Tarot. I would recommend Wings of Darkness. And why not go with the TV appearance from back in the 80s when you're at it 😊

Nightwish indeed has 2 excellent singers. My favorite for Marko in the lead is While Your Lips Are Still Red (Wembley), such a romantic and emotional song. Though the other suggestions like "High Hopes" are great too.
3 don't forget Troy sings too. I guess with Marko leaving it is just 2 again
Those last 2 chorus' are breathtakingly powerful and such a high belt for so long. Marko will surprise you with his vocal range. Loved it Aileenspai!

If I've understood correctly, this was the first gig for Floor where she already knew that she had permanent position in the band. The audience still assumed she was just a temporary vocalist because the official announcement was made only later. That may have affected how Floor performed on this legendary gig.
It was also her "trial by fire" in some sense, her biggest show fronting Nighwish and when the people had bought the tickets they had expected a different vocalist.
So I'm guessing there was certain level of relief, anxiety turning to happiness, when the crowd so fully embraced her.
Nothing compares to Wacken 2013 ! of the 3 singers Floor pairs with Marko the best, try Ghost River - Wacken next

@@nicod1361 That fully depends on what your looking for. The Islander is very pretty and sensitive. The Phantom is full growl, full belting and....really high (for a guy)

She is a Valkyrie calling us to Valhalla. The interesting thing was she was not the chosen vocalist at this show. It was Nightwish featuring Floor Jansen. This show showed that this was a match made in heaven. You saw it in the faces of the guys, the smiles said it all. I'd recommend "Romantacide " at Wacken 2013. For your personal watching try "I need you to learn the playlist in 48 hours" it by Toumas and it really lays out the flux that they were in.

Try "High Hopes" (Pink Floyd Cover) and "Phantom of the Opera" (Duet with the former singer Tarja), both live from the concert "End of an Era" 2005.
Try the "Islander" live from Tampere Finnland 2015 ... he is alone in the middle of the crowd (20.000 people).
Another blast is "Devil an the Deep Dark Ocean" live from Buenos Aires 2018 ...

Hey Aileen, love your reactions. A new recommendation I dont know if you have heard of that I REALLY HOPE you will check out and is an ABSOLUTE MUST IMO is TRISTAINA!!! Absolutely one of the best IMO in the symphonic metal genre. Please check out any of these tracks...Evenfall, Pale Enchantress, My Lost Lenore, Tender Trip On Earth, Beyond The Veil, Angina or ...Of Ruins And A Red Nightfall. Really anything off of the Widows Weed album, Beyond the Veil or World of Glass are all spectacular!! I cant wait and I hope you see this!!! You will be blown away if you dont already know of this band. Much ❤!

Floor is a PHD and a Prof for classical singing and is actually teaching at a university. I dont know if she is still doing it but she used to. :D PS: I believe what Rammstein and Nightwish have in common is they show factor :D that is why they are huge in Europe and all over the world. YOu really get something for your 100$ ticket :D People that lvoe what they do. Different styles, but you can feel they energy and the fun they have.

Marco has band with his brother called Tarot, where he is the lead singer. Wings of Darkness is song to listen if never gonna listen that band
this song floor voice truly get hard test and of course no problem. marko show little bit his singing talents. we have to remember that he start 1986 tarot band vocalist and there was also rumor one time that maybe he can be iron maiden new vocalist when bruce dickinson quit in band. marko hietala is finish heavy metal music face in the world. htanx to great reaction again like always and have lucky day there aileen.

You have no idea. If not for Floor, Marco would probably be the best living singer in rock. Watch The Islander live - he's amazing. He will be missed, and Nightwish is diminished without him.
Not officially then in Wacken open air in 2013 with the band , Floor Jansen , but replacing Annette Olzon , is tested by Tuomas with a lot badass songs ... One of them is Ever Dream from Tarja's era . And guess ... she passed ... Now she is the leader vocalist . She deserved it . She got the gutts and the damn high range ... Chills at finale outro key , half step modulation ... Lots of Floorgasms !

As good as both Floor and Marko is in this song what always hits me in this song is when Jukka starts beating those drums like they insulted his family, friends, Finland and the entire planet!

Most of Floor's fans, myself included, think that she looks & sounds like a Valkyrie. Maybe she is a Valkyrie for all I know & she is just pretending to be mortal. Watch Nightwish's Phantom Of The Opera with Marko & the original singer Tarja to hear Marko hold his own in magical harmony with a powerful opera singer. By the way Tarja & Floor are very good friends with each other & have been for a long time.

It's sad that Marco isn't in the band anymore. I've watched videos of their latest performances and, while they're still great, the energy just isn't the same. I'm still hoping he returns, though.

And I can't remember the song but there's one where they do a slide together, basically both of their full ranges, from low to high, and it's incredible.

It always amazes me how few people actually know what kind of feat Floor pulled off that year with nightwish at wacken so I will tell you the story. In the middle of the US tour nightwish lost their vocalist due to illness so Floor got a call from I believe Marco at 3am asking her if she would be willing to help them finish the tour. Floor jumped on a plane and flew to the US while learning a 12 song set she had never heard before AND NOT IN HER NATIVE LANGUAGE in less than 12 hours and then performed it in front of an audience of thousands that same night with jet lag. With all of that stacked against her she won over the hearts of millions of native English speaking nightwish fans and made it look effortless.

I have two very different suggestions for you. The first is a singer from Norway named Aurora. I would love for you to check out her song "Through the eyes of a child" live at Nidrosdomen. She is an amazing performer and song writer. The second is an all female Rock band from Mexico (Sisters) The name of the band is The Warning. They have done covers and have just released the second single on their third Album. The song is called "Evolve" if you want to check it out. If you like them you can go back and check out their earlier stuff. I think you would appreciate both of these suggestions. As for this one, I think Nightwish is amazing.
