[OSRS] Full Jad Fight with Toxic Blowpipe

- Decided to record my Jad Fight today just incase I had a pet in the end, but that didn't happen. BUT! In case you want to attempt fight caves yourself but don't know how to defeat Jad, you could watch this videos, even thought I don't think is THAT helpful, but oh well.. Might make a fight caves guide soon maybe.
Btw, this was on slayer task, that's why im using the slayer helm
STATS during the fight:
- 74 Defence
- 75 Ranged
- 78 Hitpoints
GEAR:
- Slayer Helmet (i)
- Bandos D'hide (or any other god d'hide since they all have the same stats)
- Verac's Plateskirt
- Toxic Blowpipe (3000 Zulrah's scales & 5000 Mithril darts)
- Barrows Gloves
- Snakeskin Boots
- Ava's Accumulator
INVENTORY:
- 1 Ranging potion
- 7/8 Saradomin Brews
- The rest of the inventory was filled with restores
I ended the fight with half of my restores so, I guess I did alright.
My time was around 97 minutes or something.
Ok jad is cool and all but you have papaya trees ready to be harvested

tried twice today and I literally cannot pray switch, I literally can't do it. Never felt so bummed out from a game I am genuinely considering quitting its not right
Update: I got it boys, took me 7 times but I got it! My advice would be to take a few tries, and when you are feeling a bit burnt out; go through the waves to 61, logout, and try in the morning. Or maybe logout in the 50s to give you some time to adjust. When I just logged in and did it it's like I didn't have enough time to build the anticipation that freaked me out so much.
why can't you lol? try on easier enemies until you get it, you can do it fam

WHOOOO 5th attemped finallyyy got it thanks omg im so happy! OKAY SO! Tips that helped me aside from using hotkeys.
1) when you get to level 59-60 if you get a chance to safe spot a melee use that as a break, watch this vid again and practice calling jad's attack in the vid "MAGE!" OR "RANGE!". Saying it lout also helps with breathing in order to stay calm. in my First attempt i didn't know i held my breath because i was so nervous which only made my reflexes slower and more anxious. BREATH!
2) after praying move your mouse to hover on the next prayer so you can switch prayers even faster when needed. It helps to say "hover" as well for example Ill say "mage!" then immediately i'll also say "hover!" to remind me hover my mouse to the next prayer.
3) dont do too many actions in between prayer flicks.. do each action only after you already clicked on the prayer, prayer first everything else is secondary ( jad attacks slow and healers are weak the moment i realized this, the fight got 10x easier )
4) Think of Jad as a marathon not a sprint, you're gonna die a few times and OOOHHHH IT'S GONNA STING BABY hahaha, 1-2 hours of grinding 62 rounds only to die within a few seconds. after a few attempts you might even want to cry LOL, dont worry this is normal get it out of your system and try it again later. when i adopted this mindset I worried less about dying which made me more calm during the fight.

lots of great guides out there for the fight cave but as far as the actual jad fight goes this simple vid just might be the best ive used!
just died on my first 2 attempts first time on wave 61 and then on jad right as the healers came out cause i forgot to fucking change prayers cuz i was so nervous smh
update 1 year later. I did fight caves again and got my ass CLAPPED, i got chanced so many times too!! oh jad you never fail to pisss me off

Thanks so much for making this I watched it 20+ times replicating the prayers to get used to the fight and i finally got my cape tonight :)
yeah dude this helps a lot. I have a hard time with the healers and watching you do it effortlessly helps me replicate it and hopefully get myself the fire cape. I'm about to be going for it!

I tried 6x today rip.. Panic when healers comes out... I know I need to lure but if I kill 3/4 leave one alive next to me so they dont respawn.. but with this vid.. thanks here I go again 7 trail.. Great guide btw.. I love your confidency.. my heart is pumping lol
Nice vid man, its great content. Im just wondering do you stop during the melee waves to let your health regen without using restores? It usually only takes me an hour give or take to finish fight caves

for those who dont know how to switch pray just watch this vid and try to change prays soon as he changes his attack style (in real life) not in game just look at jad attacks and change pray to practice
Just got my cape :P second attempt. First one I died by his second attack :D Advice for those who will attempt to do it: Just watch this video and say out laud Magic/Range(prayer) each time he strikes. Do this for a few minutes and you will be ready.
Quick good tip: Look at the back right foot. If it rises it’s range, if it stays planted it’s mage.

@@Xizfu just becouse you are looking at it from a different perspective doesn't mean his left foot becomes his right foot. Most people Kan apply that perspective difference in their head hihi

This worked a ton when getting my 2nd cape (For the Inferno even if i'm not going to do it soon) used the like as Protect from Magic and dislike as Protect from Missiles, i left it on Protect from Magic ofc
I'm not sure what happened but jad was on 5 hp and then I had to move from a healer as I was on 20 hp and he kept hitting me so I moved and they all healed jad. I didn't have the prayer left to kill him so I died

After I killed the healers and got Jad back down to half hp they spawned again, but Jad did not healed back up to full health.. How is that possible?
If Jad is healed to full health by the healers and you kill the healers, the healers will spawn again at 50% Jad's HP

Saw a comment earlier that made it insanely easy. His back left ("his" back left, your right) will lift for range, but not for magic, good luck

How many brews?
If you used addy darts or above, you will kill jad before the healers kill you
i got close with Karil's crossbow, so I'm guessing it would be easier with a blow pipe for me.

I found it easier to see his movement. Jad stays in the air longer for mage and stomps for range
Shouldn't you have had protect from missiles on when jad first spawned?
Jad spawns where the yellow 360 spawns. No need to guess what attack to block against first, as Jad is immediately visible.
@@iwasadeum also where the first 45 spawns on wave 3.
For anyone that's a beginer like me get 70 def and get Veracruz helm and skirt for defence and pray bonus you use way less brews and restores!
Do I need to kill the healers or can I focus on Jad once they all aggro onto me
Meme Dealer if u can tank and got the healables just hit them once and run back a few tiles to cut off aggro then focus back on jad. All depends of self lvl and overall comfort ability under pressure

If the healers heal Jad to full health, they will spawn again when you get Jad back down to half health.

I put on longranged on my blowpipe then I bring hit each one once. Prioritze your prayer switches. then I switch back to rapid and I kill all the healers while tanking them. Then it's ez pz alone with Jad
If all else fails bring chinchompas to aggro the healers and get jad in a safespot. He always spawns where the 3rd wave lava monster spawns. You want him near italy rock (the one shaped like a boot) once the healers are aggro kill them all
Got him halfway, got distracted by healers, got hit to 1 hp left and healer killed me
did the healers not repsawn?
the healers respawn if they heal jad back to 100% if not they will not respawn :)

Its cool. My healers just respawn instantly after i kill them. And too low a level to just agro and tank. Very frustrating.

I died cause i was unsure whether or not to use long ranged attacks with the blow pipe.. now I know! Cheers! haha

yeah I figured this out the hard way after two failed attempts. I'd always end up running at the healers and it would put me right next to jad and freak me out. Then i'd die from said freak out. About to try for my third time and should be able to do it.

just listen for kaboom for mage, and keep it on range the rest of the time. simples.
Why are you on long range with the blow pipe
Because blowpipes range sucks, gotta be on long range to not get meleed by jad. should switch after you have the healers tho
i tried few times long time ago.. now im 88def 99magic 95 range elite void bp should be easy right?.... i get to jad with tons supplies left but half way to killing jad tell my older brother to be quiet he hits my arm with a bag if food.... ok so im pissed but i try again now im thinking ima do this and jad had about 15hp left super close and i die somehow...... my cc took my rank and now wants to kick me if i dont get a fc next 2days. now my dads threatening to cancel the internet. feeels good

yeah this is a good close up of jad attack switches. 4th try and no dice but i got to 120hp so I'm almost there. last time my heart was pounding. Should have recorded to learn from mistakes

That was longrange, can tell by the def-xp drops, not sure why you'd need longrange in fight caves tho..
it was incase he ran up to jad and got melee'd by jad.
i only use long range to get the healers, but i use rapid on jad

Why a blowpipe?
Blowpipe is one of the strongest weapons in the game, best/2nd best Ranged weapon (besides Twisted Bow).
Because of it's speed, you'll do more DPS to Jad than if you were using a Rune Crossbow with Diamond Bolts (chance to ignore Defense).

1 action then look for jad attack, you dont need to kill the healers just stack them so only one is attacking you, best of luck
Maybe this is a noob thing to say but end of wave 62 should be a checkpoint lol. I died at jad on my last attempt. Gotta get better that pray switching
im doing jad also. i get through the caves super easy, and i just got prayer switches down, now learning how do the healers. if you’re still trying to get it, just practice each thing 1 by 1 until you get it, though it could take 10+ attempts
Wait, I thought you arent supposed to kill the healers because they respawn. I guess not?

im watching this while i sit on wave 61 with the melee safespotted then i look at osrs and im on 62 and just died to the mager. fucking sick of this shit

uh no. It's one extra damage. Mith is recommended if you wanna save a ton of money.

Interesting. It was a quicker fight for my ironman with a rune cbow.
Plus he killed all the healers. He probably could have easily tanked them or at killed them until only 1 was on him.

This is no longer true, the healers now heal Jad while they are aggroing you, I got fucked twice I can't do it its impossible, you have to have godly RNG to get a healer to get stuck behind jad cause as long as the healer is directing you but not attacking you it won't heal jad. Fuck this.

once im above wave 55 theres so much aggro that my character automatically starts running around the map even tho im clicking 1 enemy to stay put, and also when i drink from any pot my char starts launching at the magers wich then hit me 40+/- with melee. nice glitched game i give up on fire cape fk this!
jeffrey vande reyd I'd try turning off auto-retaliate. Its in the combat style menu.
You shouldn't really even have auto-retaliate on at all in fight caves from what I've seen
I use autoretaliate on jad so i only have to focus on flicking and drinking pots but u have to use longrange otherwise uoure fucked
