i worked in an electrical wholesaler for over ten years. I love watching your videos , im always shouting out part codes to the stuff youre using lol :)
For £90 per half hour I’d of gone and bought a chaser and laser immediately
You should invest in a chasing machine del, would make it a lot easier!
Going by the comments sure they might be doing it slow but at least it's going to be good quality once it is done. Single wires in a nice straight tube conduit will make future maintenance as easy and non intrusive as it can ever be. Many would just put the wire against the wall use the 1 sided cover "conduit" type, some might even just plaster right over the wire making maintenance immpossible. If they used a chaser machine that would have cut the time down a lot and the rest wasn't really slow anyway. Gotta remember theres an apprentice who is doing stuff on camera too, anyone works slower knowing they're being watched. Comments here always mention the clients hovering/watching over you making you work slower but there's literally 1,000s of us watching over them too so they're not gonna rush.
Fully agree I enjoyed the vid …
Comments about the use of tools to speed things up aren’t negative. On his own website he admits to his pricing. If I was paying £90 per half hour I wouldn’t be wanting to watch him hammer and bolster that run.
Enjoyed the video, keep them coming.
You need a laser delroy 😮
Where are you going to get an RCBO from to protect that circuit you are working on Del?
Well I found the video quite helpful/interesting…despite the Del bashing in the comments
it shows what happens during the procedure of installing stuff to do with levels and different materials
I am surprised you left the CPCs unsheathed when you put the double socket back Del. Maybe I missed something?
I like
Swear I’ve seen this one along time ago
Del , Make your Apprentice wear knee pads or by the time he get a few years older he will have problems like most old fart Electricians
How are your knees Del? Mine arnt the best 🙈💡
use a laser level
Couldn’t you have dropped a cable along in the cavity?
The problem with running inside the cavity is supporting the cable adequately and giving any other mechanical protection that is needed.
@@looking9175 Good point John and yes I agree and perhaps copex or even conduit could have been used. It looks as though the top of the cavity is only covered with boards and there could be adequate access and even some ties between the courses to help with support. His videos are always entertaining and sometimes educational. I guess we all have different ways of doing things
@@davidcooper4125 agreed
Maybe I am the only one who stayed to the end but why on earth would you run it in singles in 20mm oval - so wrong
Technically nothing wrong at all with it if the conduit system is sound from end to end.
@@KevinSmith-ph6jv Exactly! Everyone's a professional nowadays and thinks they know better
Never seen so many junction boxes above a fuse board lol…..
It's like watching two apprentices, that haven't heard about leveling, it's embarrassing to be honest
i had to stop watching. proper cringe.
@@brettuk very true, leveling off points that are not tested for level..and then wondering why it's not running true.
The quality of the box really let this install down
@@mrfixit0273 😂😂😂😂
Get a lazer level
Bloody hell Del.. you need to invest in some tools. Make your life so much easier
They got knicked not that long ago
From his van?
So one who knows How to use them had them
painful
Yea, but I understand it’s the thermal block so, not so ‘painful’
PPPPP......
50 years in the trade lol. Omg…..
Why don’t you brush up the are your working in …will make life a lot easier also you wouldn’t be treading dust everywhere …
