Vitto had the most melodic and tasteful solos I've ever heard. Just jaw dropping beautiful, and technically tight as hell. What a genius. Such an understanding of peicing together melodies and notes that melt together gorgeously...what an artist. Surprisingly, alot of geniuses sometime shy away from the spotlight...he deserves this recognition. The solo of "wait" is pure genius... The lady of the valley is phenomenal. Little fighter is awesome too. But I've never heard a more beautiful song than "When the children cry." Great list, thank you.
White lion didnt hold him back. If anything white lion put him on the map. He even lost interest in playing so without white lion we maybe never would have heard of him as the Great that he was.He might have just faded out as a couchplayer as myself and never became anything.
They just came out at the wrong time, they are way better than those who preceded. Like just about all of them. Hard to be that good at the wrong time.
I met the whole band in 1989. The big game tour. Right before the show ..white lion. Meet & greet signing. Everyone was cool and nice. Vitto bratta was the last one to sign my big game cassette poster. He look up and smile man, enjoy the show........an amazing. Guitarist..viva vito bratta

There are technically better tappers out there But what makes vito's so great is the fluidity and smoothness and how clean they are, doesn't overdo anything Fuckin great phrasing too

Vito Bratta is probably the, idk if underrated is the right word, maybe the most forgotten about of that era. What I always loved, is you could see his progression as a guitarist. His early early stuff is more "flashy" meaning not necessarily played for the song but showing off. On Big Game it's as if everything was perfect for each song. From fills to solos there's nothing that doesn't fit the songs. Truly wish we hear more from this amazing guitarist!

Vito was one of those guitarists where you wore the cassette tape a bit during every solo of every White Lion album. You just had to play the solo again! For me, it is "Little Fighter"!!! His best solo out of all the White Lion songs! These days, I can't play the song, on the CD, or on Spotify, or UA-cam, or anywhere, without playing the part where the solo is multiple times! It never gets old. One of my regrets in life was not getting a guitar and learning to play it! I could have gotten good enough to create a solo that would be world famous and part of rock n roll history! Vito kicked major ass! His solos of "Lady of the Valley" are insanely mesmerizing! They give me shivers, like pretty much all of his solos of the White Lion discography! I miss that guy! He pretty much gave up on really going to greater heights than his White Lion days!

Its good to see there are fans of Vito. He is at the top of the list to me of the best 80's rock guitar players. One thing, you used a live version of the "Wait" solo. The studio version is much better IMO and should have ranked higher. Also, I love "Radar Love" and wish it made the list. Great job!
