What a criminally underrated guitar player Vito Bratta is. Had he stayed in the game and gotten more recognition he would have been as big as Van Halen or Via. His techniques and unique solos are unmatched by most past and present guitar players.
@@ernieneverscardinals461 I have a hard time believing he didn’t want out. Several of his interviews from the early 90s alluded to the fact that he was burnt out and fed up with the music scene. There was a certain innocence about him and I think once he saw the industry for what it was he didn’t want to be a part of it. His father‘s illness and his supposed hand injury are valid reasons no doubt, but outside of him saying he had an injury I haven’t seen any other proof. Not to mention he had plenty of opportunity before all that to make something happen and didn’t. Tramp and plenty of others have practically begged him to do a reunion over the past 30 years and the only person preventing that from happening is Vito.
Yes, Vito is a great guitarplayer. But can we also notice that Mike Tramp was one of the best Hair Metal Singer amongst Jon Bon Jovi and Sebastian Bach back in the days?! In the 80's he had the perfect voice for this Kind of Style 🤘
This one sounds powerful and fresh , yesterday like today . I' ve always loved the music of White Lion and i still love It . This i feel , this Is FOREVER .
Vito hasn’t played since the early to mid 90s. And in his last interview (which he rarely gives) he stated it won’t be happening. Due to family issues and a wrist injury, amongst other things. Mike tramp has attempted to get white lion back together with the likes of Warren DeMartini, etc but no one wanted to do ( or could do Vito). Out of all the bands of the 80s that have capitalized on reunion tours this one would be epic if it ever happened..
The year this album came out I wore out the cassette in my walkman. I took it everywhere. Burned through enough batteries to power a Tesla for 1000 mile trip! Such a great album. And this time is my favorite.
Vito Bratta....jesus. We need to hear more from you.Your playing is the most underrated in history. You stand right beside Eddie, Jimi, Randy, etc.....
This song brings back so much memories. Such a super under-rated song, and so much better during live, amazing! Just glad I am part of the crowd that loves their songs. White Lion rocks 2022! 😄
So damn good ! Vito Bratta is easily in the top 5 guitar players of that era. In a time when hair bands were a dime a dozen White Lion stands out to this day as one of the best imo They may not have survived in the business as long as some of their peers with no farewell tours or reunion tours but you can’t have a discussion about the genre and not mention them.
greatest band ever. compare to other bands, whitelion should have been given much recognition. veto bratta, well in my opinion number one guitar player in the world
James Lomenzo bass line and sound at 4:35 are phenomenal. This song is amazing and stood out in time. The lyrics, the melody, the solos, the bass, the drums… Greg and James don’t get enough credit in general 😢
I saw them once , Nov 1989 with Skid Row and Motley Crue Birmingham NEC UK. It was brilliant. I was a massive Vito fan wrote his name on my school bag with Randy Rhoads ;)

Vitto had the most melodic and tasteful solos I've ever heard. Just jaw dropping beautiful, and technically tight as hell. What a genius. Such an understanding of peicing together melodies and notes that melt together gorgeously...what an artist. Surprisingly, alot of geniuses sometime shy away from the spotlight...he deserves this recognition. The solo of "wait" is pure genius... The lady of the valley is phenomenal. Little fighter is awesome too. But I've never heard a more beautiful song than "When the children cry." Great list, thank you.
what a great tune. I just started listening to the first 3 albums of WL this week and this is one of my fav tunes from the 2nd album Pride. The 2 guitar solos are awesome...\m/...

White Lion along with bands like Great White,Ratt,Cinderella,Blue Murder and Dokken were lumped into the stupid hair band category. They were so damn good!
I do wish the cameraman had focused on the bass player during his harmony with the lead singer! He's a total monster on the bass, AND he has really sweet backing vocals!!!!
You can really tell Vito was influenced by Van Halen in this tune. This is NO way a detraction from Vito ( and yes I like Van Halen ) BUT from my perspective Vito is a player ALL his own...and as a player myself , I honestly think Vito has more melodic feel and his array of tools and sounds are a teensie superior to Edward's. Had White Lion had more years to play , I think Vito's name would be right up there with the top 1% of melodic rock players ever.

Lady of the Valley is the best White Lion song for me.
Great job recording this set too! Nothing was lost quality-wise!
My favorite song.
Without a doubt. Lady of the Valley, When the Children Cry, El Salvador and All Burn in Hell are my top 4 and in that order

Because of where Mike is from, his accent makes his vocals unique. One of the best of his era.
And he beat them all live, hands down
Seb Bach is outstanding...Mike is good, but not that good, sorry..
Too bad the only song he performed great was radar love. And that's golden earing lol
And Michael Sweet!..♥️🙏🇺🇸
How can this epic performance not be seen by more?!
I agree!!

Yes I agree I was pissed Vito was doing some cool stuff on guitar and I want to see 😫

One of the most underrated songs of the 80's if not ever.
