Sonic 06 had the most biblical imagery and references by far, with not just the atmosphere, but also a lot of the characters referencing the bible. The most I have seen though is with the main villains of the game, and how they all reference and are based off of the Devil in some form or fashion. Mephiles' name obviously comes from the name Mephistopheles, and he is seen as an allusion/reference to the False Prophet as seen in Revelation. Iblis falls under the same affect, being an allusion to The Beast, apparent by the fire and destruction that he causes with the prophesied Day of Disaster. Beyond that, Solaris has six horns, six claws, and six crystals in his first form, most likely being a nod to the number of the beast. In his true form, he is seen as an angelic being of light, much like how Lucifer was. Side note, I find it ironic too that it took 3 super-hedgehogs to take Solaris down, and that one of them rose from the dead before the fight, which I think might be a nod to the Holy Trinity and Jesus respectively. Then again, this is a game series about anthropomorphic animals collecting rings. What do I know?
I guess it kinda makes sense that Metal Overlord has a quote relating to Leviathan, especially seeing as Leviathan is sometimes seen as the demon of envy and Metal Sonic has an inferiority complex to Sonic.

Good video. I made a similar one myself and found a few other references you might’ve missed. In Chaos Island, The Foretress miniboss resembles a Cherubim Angel if you look at it from above. In fact, a lot of the mechs in that game were inspired by Evangelion, an anime ripe with religious symbolism. Frontiers also dealt with themes of death and new beginnings from the journey the characters partook to find themselves, to the Kokos moving on to the afterlife after their unfinished business was addressed. Some of my subscribers have also mentioned that the White Space in Shadow Generations could actually be a reference to Heaven or The Pearly Gates. It’s an ethereal realm where you’re confronted with your past and reunite with your loved one. The architecture even resembles some of the descriptions of heaven in the Bible and classical art interpretations.

@dmk_yt Im not saying it's suppose to 100% a Christian song, rather it sounds like it was inspired in theme by Christianity. There's verses that are Sage and Eggman, and then there's verses that sound like they were inspired by Christianity and the parallels of God the Father and us his creation. If you follow those, it literally includes repentance. That's the thing. You guys are so prideful, you think your opinion means something. This is how the books get muddled because everyone and their mother wants to add an "opinion" or an "interpretation". Even now with tiktok and podcasts, suddenly everyone is a armchair theorist and nobody is a scientific scholar. One requires discussing ideas and the other requires testing them out to see if they're wrong and having the humility to accept defeat.
@ You sound like the people who go to church once a week if not only on major holidays and act like you know everything about being a Christian. You're nothing more than a dog.
@ I feel like I’m losing my mind bro cause I swear I watched this video before shadow generations came out cause it sent me on a search fire more lord you sure you didn’t upload this or is this a Mandela effect
I think I rather common misconception is that in the Bible demons are a different race from angels, all demons start as angels or literally messengers. An Angel becomes a demon by straying from God. Unlike Chao which can be raised as Good or Evil, Angels aren't born neutral but by default are God's Messagers.
I like Shadow, but comparing him to Jesus is borderline blasphemous. Let’s not forget Shadow tried to kill billions of people in his introduction. I would liken Shadow more to a sinner who has come to be saved. He’s more like Paul in that regard, since Paul was responsible for the deaths of over 100 people before he was saved.
I don't think the intent was to be blasphemous. Because the Bible is one of, if not the most influential texts in history, it is no surprise many literary works take inspiration from the Bible and especially Jesus.
Ye, it's not a comparison on a literal sense. It's more ''This took inspiration from'' more than anything. I apologize if that wasn't clear enough. I can see the Paul comparison too though! Merry Christmas yall
btw, basically everything in this video (apart from Abraham) doesn't appear in the Jewish version (aka the original "what if there was an all powerful entity that created the world?")
Jesus is the king of Judah that Genesis was talking about. He helps to complete a picture of his father, himself, and the Holy Spirit. He was the angel of the lord that met Abraham and loved him to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if there were a small remnant of believers in them.
Well yeah. It was before the time of Christ. God worked in phases. A simple breakdown (that could certainly be added to) would be: Creation -> Wiping the slate clean (The Flood) -> teaching humanity to be good (teaching Abraham to abandon the pagan practices like human sacrifice) -> Building a Good Nation (Israel who doesn’t always stay good as is human nature, the 10 Commandments) -> Moral Advancement (The Teaching of Christ while alive) -> Becoming the God of the whole world not Israel alone (The Crucifixion and the missions of the Apostles) -> The End of Man’s Rule (Revelation and Judgement) -> New Millennium (Christ’s return to reign for 1000 years, New Heaven and New Earth) Obviously that’s not going to all be in the Torah. As much wisdom we can glean from it and apply to today, the text of each book is also written for the audience of the time. It’s why putting things in proper context to understand what is being taught is so important.
I think you're taking all this religion stull a bit too seriously. even if there is something out there that can be called a God (a thing we can never truly know), it's probably nothing like the ones that humanity invented.

@@haaendaaz3619 Which is him.
Is this re uploaded
No, though I'm sure I'm far from the first to make a video on this topic. Maybe it's someone else's video you're thinking of?
@ it can’t be cause I don’t remember watching it a day ago
@ I feel like I’m losing my mind bro cause I swear I watched this video before shadow generations came out cause it sent me on a search fire more lord you sure you didn’t upload this or is this a Mandela effect
@@TreadywayYT I'd say mandela
So choa are either demons or angels sonic is Christian jesus holy spirit or god and shadow is the antichrist who repented beyond becoming jesus
I think I rather common misconception is that in the Bible demons are a different race from angels, all demons start as angels or literally messengers. An Angel becomes a demon by straying from God. Unlike Chao which can be raised as Good or Evil, Angels aren't born neutral but by default are God's Messagers.
This is crazy reach with half these characters bruh💀
I like Shadow, but comparing him to Jesus is borderline blasphemous. Let’s not forget Shadow tried to kill billions of people in his introduction. I would liken Shadow more to a sinner who has come to be saved. He’s more like Paul in that regard, since Paul was responsible for the deaths of over 100 people before he was saved.
lmao
I don't think the intent was to be blasphemous. Because the Bible is one of, if not the most influential texts in history, it is no surprise many literary works take inspiration from the Bible and especially Jesus.
Ye, it's not a comparison on a literal sense. It's more ''This took inspiration from'' more than anything. I apologize if that wasn't clear enough. I can see the Paul comparison too though! Merry Christmas yall
btw, basically everything in this video (apart from Abraham) doesn't appear in the Jewish version (aka the original "what if there was an all powerful entity that created the world?")
All very cringe may I add
Wait no the flood and the boat appear there too but that’s it
Jesus is the king of Judah that Genesis was talking about. He helps to complete a picture of his father, himself, and the Holy Spirit. He was the angel of the lord that met Abraham and loved him to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if there were a small remnant of believers in them.
Well yeah. It was before the time of Christ.
God worked in phases. A simple breakdown (that could certainly be added to) would be:
Creation -> Wiping the slate clean (The Flood) -> teaching humanity to be good (teaching Abraham to abandon the pagan practices like human sacrifice) -> Building a Good Nation (Israel who doesn’t always stay good as is human nature, the 10 Commandments) -> Moral Advancement (The Teaching of Christ while alive) -> Becoming the God of the whole world not Israel alone (The Crucifixion and the missions of the Apostles) -> The End of Man’s Rule (Revelation and Judgement) -> New Millennium (Christ’s return to reign for 1000 years, New Heaven and New Earth)
Obviously that’s not going to all be in the Torah.
